  1. Pros: Price, battery life, overall performance, light weight, responsive fingerprint sensor, fast (so for no issues)Cons: PATHETIC PLACEMENT OF POWER BUTTON. I bet you’re gonna press it numerous times mistaking for delete button. Same goes for a needless airplane mode button next to brightness button. Wonder how do they not notice while designing.Bad microphone and an average audio quality. Webcam is average too. So not a super we conference/zoom friendly device, but it does the job. Touchpad is below average. I also occasionally get glitches while streaming HD videos, but this is a minor issue. Built quality is average.I do not expect everything top notch for the price it’s offered. I would, however, expect a slightly better microphone and touchpad quality. And ofcourse the damn placement of power buttonOverall if you’re looking for a decent laptop that can do your regular office/school job with a pretty good batter, go for it. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a premium-type experience. I guess, price speaks for itself.

  2. I’ll say the bad stuff first. I don’t know what to do with these PC laptops. I watch a movie and there’s icons all over the screen. You know the rewind, the pause, It comes with battery saving settings—that is to say, the screen was dim and the sound was quiet, even though I had them both at 100%. It took some googling—ugh, I mean Binging—and about an hour trying to figure out how to get a nice bright picture and sound I could hear from across the kitchen. But it’s fine now.So that was the bad. It’s white, light, keeps its battery power for the duration of about 3 movies.

  3. Nice looking laptop. When I got it it was extremely slow!!! I restarted and updated and now it’s great.

  4. I was very surprised after buying this. I was a bit skeptical at first based on all the bad reviews, but I decided to give to a try. It came in 3 days, and straight from the box it gave an easy setup, with minimal effort. This laptop exceeded my expectations especially based on the price. The laptop came undamaged, with a nice screen and comfortable keys. The quality is amazing and has great preformance and speed. This is the best laptop i’ve ever used and i hope you all find this review helpful.

  5. I bought this with the intention of running Zorin OS and never booting into Windows. So far this laptop has been great. The screen is very nice, the keyboard is decent, touch pad works well, I have never heard the fans, external GPU does work, and the battery is great; which is the main reason I purchased this laptop. In case anyone is interested in also installing Zorin, the camera login isn’t working for me even after trying some workaround, webcam works but the hello windows alternative does not. I’ll report back after some time, I think its just a driver issue. The finger print driver also does not work. There are some claims that some users were able to get this working but I have not been successful. I’m not really all that interested in those options but it would be nice to get the finger print device to work. For graphics, the Xe driver doesn’t seem to work that well but I’m guessing that with some time, this will change.Overall, I’m super impressed and very happy with this purchase. I can’t speak for Windows as I never let it boot before wiping out of the box, due to the systems specifications the bloat in Windows likely causes some resource issues. I imagine that this is what causes most of the bad reviews on this system, outside of hardware issues, hot tip, avoid manufacturer warranties, complain to amazon and get a new one shipped…I did end up buying another for a family member (50+) and installed Zorin on theirs as well, after a week they say its their favorite laptop ever so take that as you will.

  6. I dislike the fact this computer would fight me every step of the way while I was setting it up. Appearently it was already set up. I know it said this computer would come with several Microsoft Apps. That’s fine, I use a lot of them daily at work and at home. It was never made clear that I would be in for a battle to change browers. It’s like inviting a person from Antarctica to plan your beach party in Florida. The Microsoft browser has no idea what I;m interested in and the people who designed it probubly don’t care. It has it’s own agenda and that’s fine, but not in my house. Back to the battle.

  7. As a relatively inexpensive and light laptop, the Acer Swift 3 is pretty solid. It’s not a heavy duty laptop and it isn’t going to be a great option for gaming or video editing or anything that requires a lot of processing power, but as a general purpose laptop for surfing the web or watching YouTube videos it’s going to be perfectly functional. It weighs in around 2.6-2.8lbs (my scale isn’t very precise and the reading fluctuated between the two after several tries), which makes it quite easy to carry around without feeling weighed down. The construction feels about what I would expect for a computer in this price range, which is to say it’s not top quality but it’s not flimsy either. The keyboard is not overly clicky, although it is a bit louder than i would like. I am generally not a fan of laptop keyboards as I prefer a bit more responsiveness but all things considered it’s not bad. The backlighting on the keyboard works well. The Cinebench score was a rather pedestrian 5000. But regardless of benchmarks, I have found it works perfectly well for my everyday needs. I can have a full-screen video running on one screen while surfing the web on another with no lag or hiccups. I keep several programs open all the time (including Chrome which is a serious memory hog) and the laptop doesn’t have any performance issues. Considering the price point I am very satisfied with its performance. The one negative about the setup is that the RAM cannot be upgraded (I got 8gb and wanted 16gb but wasn’t going to pay the ridiculous cost difference to buy it pre-installed). I also would have liked 1 more usb port, but 2 is pretty standard so it’s not something I would hold against it. Overall I am very satisfied with this laptop. If you don’t carry your laptop around very much you might consider looking around for other options because there are probably other more performant options around this price range at the cost of more weight. But if you want a portable, inexpensive laptop that performs well on common everyday tasks then this is a great choice.

  9. i like most things about this laptop for home use but what was not at all clear was that this comes from a usa based seller and the keyboard is usa layout which is not ideal if you have spent all you online time using a uk layout

  10. *not a touchscreen*check you web cam and built in mic.I thought this was a touchscreen because there is a place to rate the touchscreen (why would you have a place to rate the quality of a touchscreen when it is not a touchscreen.) That was disappointing, however, the laptop is fast and extremely light weight. Unfortunately I didn’t realized that the built in microphone did not work at all until I had had the laptop for a while. I bought an inexpensive webcam with built in mic and use that microphone.

  11. Es perfecta, super rápida, solo tiene teclado en inglés y el sistema operativo no se puede cambiar totalmente al español y eso no lo especifica.

  12. Can’t use the keyboard when it is backlit. Use CNTRL and F8 to turn it off. But you have to do that every time you start up. Also you can adjust the scroll pad for the way you want to scroll up and down but I haven’t been able to fix the left right scroll adjust.Otherwise, I’m very happy

  13. no noise, fast, simple to use, beautiful design, good for graphic design or video editing, not getting too hot. If you run games can become very slow and hot.

  14. SGD $200+ onlywhat more to ask for a laptop?Works as perfectly as any machine on more powerful CPUsI did my research, as long as the CPU is N4000 and above, it should work fineThis one has an N5000 somethingIt work absolutely fine for surfing, word, excel, pdfI am a reasonable techieIn this case, I purchased and installed an SSD (can’t remember if it was NVME or M.2) as it would run faster than the in-built emmcnothing difficult, just take out all the screws from behind and insert the SSDFor all new PC purchases, I will do a clean install of windows from a thumb drive using windows 10 image downloaded directly from microsoft. I will then create a backup image of my installation on another driveWhenver the machine gets cranky or starts to slow down, I just re-load the windows image

  15. This is about what I expected for the price point here, but going from my Ryzen 7 5800x and 48 gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM to this potato is frustrating in all the worst ways. It can handle at most three open tabs in Chrome reliably, I attempted to open 25 tabs and the PC crashed. It’s horrifically slow, from CPU to RAM to the WiFi card. That being said, the screen is pretty decent, I like the keyboard a lot, the touchpad is a decent size (I prefer larger touchpads) and the light weight is very handy. It’s got a numpad which is a weird must-have for me, and it doesn’t make the laptop massive to accommodate the additional space on the keyboard. The build quality seems nice so far and I appreciate the HDMI port on such a slim profile. All in all, it’s exactly what I need, even though it’s incredibly slow, I’m only using it to type out documents, check emails, and print shipping labels, so it’s doing what I need, which is the bare minimum. I wouldn’t recommend this laptop if you need to do any sort of actual work, it should be a subsidiary computer.

  16. I’m had this laptop for a couple years now and use it for work. I’ve never had a problem with it.

  17. Very pleased

I am a Chromebook lover. Guilty as charged. Those machines are lightening fast, easy to connect, and never fail. The only real difference in the price points is due to screen size, battery, and touch screen capability. Why did I write about Chromebooks? Because they’re everywhere that this machine isn’t. The sole reason why I bought this is because most professors are dinosaurs and refuse to accept Google docs/sheets for assignments, so I needed something relatively cheap with MS Office. That was my only criterion. Well, it does have Office and it was fairly inexpensive. However, once I’m done with my classes, I plan to smash it à l’Office Space. It takes roughly 10 mins to connect, which would be annoying enough, but then you have to fight it to do anything at all. Bear in mind, once again, I am not playing games on this or watching films. Just trying to perform basic functions feels like pulling teeth. At this point, I complete all of my papers on my Chromebook via Google docs, then boot this slug up and just download my Google doc as a Word doc. That is literally the only thing it’s good for.Save your money and either spend a bit more for something that actually works, or use your friend’s desktop to transfer documents. This is utter rubbish.

  19. i see so many reviews saying it’s so slow and it sucks, it’s truly a great laptop considering the price point. i wasn’t expecting a super fast top of the line laptop BUT it has been preforming just fine, the battery compacity is good considering how small and light weight this laptop is, and has no issues loading up many things. i haven’t had any issues streaming content and it hasn’t frozen, there’s been a few things that took a short moment to load but it really isn’t as terrible as these reviews make it out to be! i would reccomend this for laptop for someone who needs a laptop for school/collage/classes and is on a budget!

I was ready to write an extremely negative post about this laptop because it would freeze up and become non responsive every time i tried to use it. After a month of trying various things that did not work, i finally disabled Microsoft edge and installed Google chrome as the web browser. Instantly everything is quick and responsive, no more lag. Apparently Microsoft loads everything they own onto these laptops forcing you to use it. Just remember, you can use aps and programs that are much better.

  21. I recently purchased this laptop and upon opening it started up and updated on its own perfectly fine how a new laptop should. After you get to the homescreen, it was completely unusable!! Extremely slow to the point you couldn’t open any app or browser at all. Completely unacceptable for a new laptop on the market. I was ready to return and purchase another. Before I shut it down got it ready to be returned, I took some advice from the forums and deleted any and all Microsoft related programs. Microsoft teams, edge, anything that comes pre-programmed from Microsoft. I’m currently using Google Chrome as my default browser and not touching Microsoft edge at all. This will save your laptop and now it is running smooth like a laptop should. Completely fixed all performance and speed issues.Anyone who buys this laptop needs to ununstall all Microsoft programs off of the laptop because that is what is causing it to be extremely slow! Otherwise, you will have a nice smooth, easy to use laptop!

  22. The computer is super slow. Has problems downloading apps. Constantly freezes. I have already had to restart it several times.

  23. After looking at other reviews I decided to buy two of this model for my wife and I. After taking the advice from other reviews regarding turning off un needed windows apps on start up, this laptop is great! It is lightweight fast and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time AND it has a number pad which is a plus for me!. This laptop is a great deal for the price if all you need is a general use machine for searches, email, school or general work. I would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase, you won’t be dissapointed!

  25. Has some draw backs but works well

  26. Loved that this laptop is so thin and light and offers a lot of features for the price. Price is budget friendly and worth it. Great screen size and seems to run fast
