  1. We are always running out of ice and this has solved the problem. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. This ice maker is excellent and will delivery the 26 lbs. of ice per day. What a lot of people don’t understand about countertop ice makers is that when the ice is made it is about 27 degrees and the ice maker is not a storage freezer. Think of it like the ice that was just made will sit in the ice maker which is like keeping ice in a cooler. It won’t get colder it will just slowly melt and then gets turned back into ice again.Keep in mind when you pull ice out of your kitchen freezer that has been in there for several hours it is around 0 degrees vs. the 27 degrees right out of the countertop ice maker. So, ice from your freezer is going to last a lot longer in a drink than ice out of this countertop ice maker. So, that may not be ideal for some if you are having a drink outside on a hot day and not using an insulated cup. For best results take the ice out of the countertop ice maker and put it in a gallon ziplock bag and place it in the freezer for a little while so it will get down to the 0 degrees. That is not necessary though. The ice that comes right out of the machine is plenty cold enough for drinking beverages indoors. If you want to use the ice outdoors just place the ice in an insulated cup.Pros:Very quality built machine.Very easy to use.It uses lights to notify you of the status rather than annoying beeps. It really does make 26 lbs. of ice in an hour.First ice in about 8 minutes.Full basket of ice in about an hour.Pauses itself when ice basket is full and will resume ice production automatically as soon as some ice is removed.Light comes on when water needs to be added (keep in mind you still have a full basket of ice when this triggers).Melts very slowly and if you leave it on over night it only comes on once or twice to replace the ice that melted.Quite operation. It doesn’t take up a lot of countertop space so we are able to leave it out and it matches our stainless steel fridge. It comes with a nice ice scoop which is great for parties. This ice maker keeps dropping ice every 8 minutes. The cord is very long so it doesn’t have to be right up against the outlet.Cons:The only con I have about the machine is trying to drain the water remaining when you are done using it. There is a drain plug underneath it that is a little tricky to use because you can’t see underneath the machine and you can’t just turn the machine upside down to drain it per their instructions. That will harm the machine. What I found to be a great solution is instead of using the drain plug I use a microfiber towel to soak up all the water left in the machine. That only takes a quick second and you don’t have to move the ice maker over the sink to drain it. I then leave the lid open to make sure it dries out. So it really isn’t a con if you use the microfiber towel. It is so easy this way which means I never mind using the machine even to make a small amount of ice.

  2. I LOVE this ice maker. I live in a rental with just a basic fridge/freezer unit so no built in ice maker, and the small freezer is always packed with barely room to keep an ice bin, and def no room to freeze ice in trays. The way this works is that the ice bullets are formed on metal rods which are the only part of the unit that is chilled to freeze the water, therefore This ice maker does not have a freezer compartment that will keep the finished ice bullets frozen so you will heed to immediately transfer the ice to your freezer as soon as the collection bin is full. The first time I made enough ice to fill my ice bin in my freezer, I realized that the ice bullets tend to have a melted outer layer so that once in the ice bin, they will all freeze into a block of ice bullets that need to be broken apart. I solved this problem by putting the ice bullets into a ziplock bag which I keep in my freezer ice bin. This allows me to easily break up the ice bullets every time I need to retrieve ice from my stash, as well as keeps the ice fresh by not adsorbing odors and also keeps it from sublimating away while in frozen storage. A gallon sized bag was not big enough to maximize the available storage space in my ice bin so I got the 2.5 gal size and those generously line my bin and allow me to store my ice bin’s maximum capacity of ice. When I want ice I just pull the bag out of the bin, drop it onto the counter a few times to break them apart, just like you have to do with a purchased bag of ice. After getting the ice I need out, I just put the bag of ice back in the freezer ice bin, squish out the air and seal the bag & stick it back in the freezer. Easy and fast. The water reservoir of the ice maker holds 2 liters and it just so happens that that amount of water makes the exact amount of ice bullets to completely fill up my freezer ice bin to max capacity so I am very happy with it. A small freezer compartment to collect the ice in as it is made would have rated it 5 stars, but the simpler design without it still works well for my needs and is a much more affordable price than a unit with such a freezer collection space, so a solid 4 stars for a useful unit that will require some personal intervention to transfer the ice into freezer storage as it is made.I do wish that it had an audio alert for the full bin indicator in addition to the red indicator light, so that I could get the ice into the freezer immediately, but since the unit is small, portable and does not need to be hooked up to a water line, I just placed it where I can see it from my desk chair and set an alarm on my phone to start looking at the indicator lights after 50-55 minutes and that is working very well for me.

  3. I recently downsized and moved into a house with a relatively small refrigerator/freezer without an automatic ice machine. There’s also not a cold water line behind the refrigerator. I’ll admit that plumbing is not my forte so even if I had a water line nearby, I still would need assistance installing an automatic ice machine in my freezer. I was also concerned about how much space an ice maker would take up in my freezer. I asked my brother-in-law for advice and he informed me that they make affordable counter-top automatic ice makers that need to be manually filled as needed. Fortunately, I have a good amount of counter space so I invested in a Frigidaire counter top ice maker. It works great and I don’t mind using a pitcher to periodically fill the tank on the ice maker. It’s also portable so I can relocate it to a different location as long as there’s a receptacle nearby. So now I have the convenience of an automatic ice maker which was the one luxury that didn’t come with the house. I’m also pretty certain that there’s not enough space for a refrigerator with a door mounted ice maker/dispenser. I’m writing a review of this product for people like me that didn’t know counter top ice makers were available and do an adequate job as long as the user doesn’t mind manually filling it.Follow-up review. This unit was easy enough to install and follow the instructions. I noticed the morning after having a container of nice sized ice cubes that all the cubes melted. I’m a rather impatient person and I didn’t bother to see if there were troubleshooting instructions for this model. As far as I was concerned, the unit should have remained cold enough to keep the cubes usable as needed. I like the idea of having a counter top ice maker that plugs in and only needs to be manually fed with cold water as needed. I also bought this unit since I have had good success with Frigidaire equipment in the past. I expected this unit to be plug and play. My previous house refrigerator/freezer had a cold water line at the back and of course a receptacle. All I needed to do was make the two connections and shortly thereafter I had an automatic door ice maker/cold water dispenser. I don’t even use a lot of ice so I’m not sure what compelled me to buy a counter-top automatic ice maker. Regardless, I can’t recommend this model as the ice cubes melted pretty much as soon as I had a full container of ice cubes. BTW, there isn’t a door automatic ice maker on the refrigerator in my new house nor is there a cold water line behind the refrigerator made for connecting to some sort of automatic ice maker. Plumbing is not my forte but I wasn’t against the idea of a portable counter top unit. Perhaps you will purchase this unit and have better success. My only recommendation is to read the instructions which I never bothered to do.

  4. El producto no funciona correctamente y no se puede devolver o reembolso, solo realiza una tanda de hielos y deja de funcionar por horas.

  5. Set up is easy. Ice maker should be near a sink. I can not imagine having it without the extra tank. We fill the tank at least once a day for a family of 4. (Get the tank!) I had to try about 10 times to get WIFi App to sink up. We shut the ice maker off at 9pm and it still has ice in when we turn it at 6am. We have an open floor plan so it is a little louder than I had hoped but I feel like you just get used to it. A few days after use it said I need to descale it even though we have a water softener. GE said to unplug it let it rest. The Error went a way. I did purchase the extended warranty. Lots of good ytube videos on how to open it up and clean the inside. Will update this review in a few month. The ice is perfect and makes drink cold fast with little foam. Not hard to chew and is helping me get more daily water intake. The drip tray is my only complaint so far. When you open the ice drawer it drips so you need a paper towel.12/12/22- had to set it to cycle off every few hours otherwise it starts squealing. The internal defrost cycle does not seem to work that great. So I would not advise trying to run it for 16 hours straight.12/26/22- so still dealing with squealing. I have been playing around with the schedule to give it more chances to defrost. I think the squealing comes from it not being about to push the frozen ice out. Still love the ice so not giving up yet.12/28/22- did several cleaning cycles with bleach. Set up running time for hour on then and hour off. Moved it so it has good ventilation on both sides. No squealing so far after changes.1/14/23- to sync up to phone app pull up a chair and sit right next to it with your phone. Any further away does not seem to work. My machine has been working fine as long as it has several off cycles between run times. If I try to leave it on for more than a few hours it always start making unpleasant noises. It has lost WiFi twice and each when it keeps running without programming it starts making all kinds of bad noises. Just my personal experiences. Keep with a on/off hourly schedule.

  7. Some ice makers are extremely noisy in comparison, quiet and quick

  8. This is awesomeSuper quick to make ice and it’s so easy to use ! Totally a wicked purchase if you don’t have a built in with your fridge !

  9. Worked pretty good for a while. Now the warranty expired it stopped making ice. Did the reset and unplugged it still won’t work.

  10. Useful ice maker that arrived when it said it would.

  11. This small yet powerful little ice maker is fast. Yes, you have to add water (it is portable and can sit on any countertop or tabletop). I use filtered water from my tap, I like the taste of that water and it is in the taste is in my ice cubes when I scoop them out. It does make some noise, there is a fan and a refrigerant compressor, but it is not so loud as to be annoying (for me). If you are looking for a reasonably small, not too heavy to carry ice maker you can set almost anywhere that there is a three-prong outlet (a three prong UL approved extension cord would also work if you needed it), then this is a good one I recommend. Here are a couple of things on the downside: The bin is not refrigerated, so the ice can melt over time at exposure to room temperature (mine turned into a blob that I could break up). Nice thing is, if the ice does melt, the water goes right down into the water storage area. Be careful if you move it (carry it), when the low water light comes on there is still water in the bottom of the unit. It comes with a drain on the underside of the unit if you want to let out all the water, just make sure you place the cap back on securely. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to read, setup is fast. I am surprised at how quickly you can get a reasonable amount of ice on the “Large” setting (give it about an hour). You will not be disappointed.

  12. The media could not be loaded.  ==========Final update: 7/25/2023: OnPoint responded to the BBB complaint. I was offered to continue waiting an undetermined amount of time for a 3rd new unit, I opted to get completely out of this mess. The 2nd unit is being shipped back right now and upon receipt, GE is providing a full refund. Meanwhile I already have an Opal 1 in its place and quite happy, and it was about 1/2 the price. So what would you gain by going the Opal 2 route (other than a giant headache)? A front panel that lights up letting you know, by words, what is going on with the ice maker. The Opal 1 has an LED ring that pulses or changes color and you kinda have to decipher it but it isn’t any big deal. The 2 also has the app and you can schedule the ice maker to turn on and off at certain times or even tap a button on your phone to turn it on or off. I kinda liked that so what I’ve already done is programmed a smart plug to work on a schedule and it can be controlled via app as well so nothing lost there.’Sonic’ ice is absolutely spectacular. There are now lots of these ice makers on the market. My biggest advice is to make sure to get one that includes a side tank or is directly plumbed to your R/O system otherwise you’ll forever be jumping up and refilling small amounts of water.===========Another update: 7/17/2023: I submitted a complaint with the BBB over the weekend regarding OnPoint Warranty Solutions LLC which is the official support group for GE Opal. I also offered to provide 33 emails I’ve had with support (sent/received). I have still not had any communication returned from support. Buyer beware if you need any product support, which you most likely will. Working on figuring out a contact directly with GE to discuss the product and experience with support. I had actually requested this information from Onpoint but have not had a response.===========Update 7/13/2023: nothing to report. GE Opal “advanced” support has gone completely dark. No tracking info on a replacement unit (which by the way would be Unit #3 since March). I’ve requested tracking info multiple times on the 3rd unit and they are non-responsive. I think these Opal units are like playing craps, sometimes you run hot and have a great time, but most of the time you end up heading back to your hotel room early with nothing in your pocket because the casino drained you.Not sure what else to say. Tomorrow I will be contacting the BBB. Shoddy engineering on product, worse on support. To recent purchasers, enjoy the ice, it is indeed fantastic. Just be ready to have your experience take a 180 on you. Then I wish you the best of luck with your giant paperweight.I’m still holding onto hope that I’ll be able to provide a much better update on this.==========Review written by my husband.DO NOT BUY. Absolutely terrible product and terrible support. Yes when it works the ice is spectacular, but go buy the Opal 1 version. I know multiple people who have the Opal 1, never use distilled water and never descale and never have problems. The GE developers got this product wrong.Purchased March 11, 2023. Plain and simple, this product has issues and support is terrible. Within a couple of weeks of purchasing we noticed some strange noises coming from the unit. Not much longer the noise became overwhelming and we simply had to just turn the unit completely off (see video that support requested from me). Too late to return so we worked with Opal support. The experience overall has been terrible. The number one thing that support says is to always use distilled water. Yet nowhere on the product does it state this and I don’t know anyone who would buy an expensive ice maker to also have to always purchase special water to use in it. We have an R/O system in place and always use that. The other thing that support will say is that every two weeks you have to descale the unit. This means removing all ice and draining all water, adding in a mixture of water and vinegar and running that through the cleaning cycle several times, then flush that all out, wiping everything down good, make several batches of ice and throw that away to make sure you are not mixing all that vinegar in with your icewater or drink. The descaling process basically take overnight as you have to stuff a rag or sponge up into the unit and let it sit during this downtime process. We also purchased the official GE Opal filter. This makes no difference in operation of this unit and is a waste of money. After working with support for weeks and weeks, they finally said they would send a replacement unit. Their standard process for replacement is to send a refurbished unit. So now you pay lots of money for a product that doesn’t work right only to get a unit that someone else had a problem with and was returned? Upon receipt of this ‘new’ replacement unit, the instructions state that there could be some leftover crud from their cleaning process. Yeah, okay, see the next picture. I spent two hours trying to clean that crap out of the unit, flushed several cycles through, tossed ice, that stuff is still everywhere. I decided to keep trying to clean it anyway. BUT, when I then proceeded to connect the unit to my home network, the password printed on the label on the back of the unit didn’t work. I struggled for some time before reaching out to support and providing that information plus the picture of the disgusting unit. The manager seemed a bit shocked and personally called me, the unit should never have been shipped that way and it was obvious and acknowledged that they completely messed up repairing someone else’s returned unit that had wifi problems and wasn’t cleaned right and then sent to me. The outcome of this: I was told I would be receiving a brand new replacement unit. Flash forward 2 1/2 weeks later, I still have not received any shipping/tracking information and unit #2 that I have at the house now sits dark on the counter. When I asked repeatedly for tracking information I was asked to have patience as the supply chain was having issues. At this point I specifically requested a full refund as it has been several months with nothing but a crappy experience and very little ice to enjoy along the way. We’ll see how this all pans out but my advice based on my personal experience with this product and their support is to avoid it completely. I was going to suggest to purchase the extra coverage but I can’t in good conscience advise anyone to pay for this product period. Go out and google opal ice maker noise, or why does my opal ice maker scream like a banshee, something along those lines. You’ll see lots of people sharing. For many this occurs after the warranty period (you know, that time where they’ll gladly send you a used replacement) and they tear the thing apart and try to experiment with different ideas to solve the problem. One post I read even said the buyer eventually just tossed it in his garage because it is unusable.I’ll update this review once I hear something back from support. But this purchase has been nothing but pure frustration and a huge time waster. The simple fact that they say you have to use distilled water and a full descaling/cleaning with downtime every two weeks should create a class action suit as nowhere does the product state this when considering a purchase. I’m mad as hell about this purchase but it sure looks like GE doesn’t care, or stand by it’s products.

  13. I did a lot of research on machines for the house. I looked at multiple units, some that required a drain. I had a smaller Frigidaire but it required constantly filling the water during the day and although it claimed to make 26 lbs during the day, it was a slow and tedious process in getting to the 26 lbs. The ice also melted extremely fast even in a Yeti cup. I am extremely happy with this GE Profile and even though the ice is smaller (and in larger amounts), it lasts longer compared to the larger cubes from the Frigidaire in my Yeti. Some things to note, it does have some noise to it. But not enough to bother me and it was relatively the same as the Frigidaire unit. I did read the comments and someone mentioned scheduling it to turn on and off in the middle of the night to keep continuous ice making. I guess if it stops, it melts quit a bit. Stopping and restarting helps. I love the fact I can leave this on continuously. I do like the App feature, but rarely use it honestly but it’s a nice to have for sure. And finally, I don’t have arguments with the family of 5 on why we don’t always have ice. The side XL unit is an absolute MUST. Although we got the side unit, we STILL go through a lot of jugs of water. In the heat of Texas, of course we should be using it quite a bit. And USE DISTILLED WATER. Do your research on WHY to use Distilled. Makes a difference. Flavor, of course will be different than drinking water but we use filtered water from our refrigerator along with our Distilled Ice and scaling will be reduced significantly if at all. The beauty of this unit is that I don’t have to clean as much using distilled water, I don’t have to drain often, and I can leave it on constantly. Couldn’t be happier at the moment with this purchase

  15. I have a condition where I have to increase water intake, and I prefer my water with ice, so I thought this would help. This icemaker has worked great so far, the design is pretty robust and it makes enough ice to keep up with my 5 person office (I’m nice and sharing). This is a continuous circulation design, so as ice is made, it’s dumped into a tray, which melts into a water holding tank, which is then recirculated in the freezing chamber on top.The freezing device consists of several rods with stubby extensions which rotate into a shallow pan of water which is filled via pump from the reservoir beneath the ice basket. The stubs of the rods submerge and as they cool, ice forms around them, making cup shaped cubes. There are options for small or large. My one worry was that the ice would not be very cold and would melt and break quickly, but the larger size cube is quite robust and solid. With the lid down the cubes last fairly long, enough so I’m not bothering to transfer them to the freezer to save them. If I kept the icemaker in a hot room or garage this might not be as practical, but it works very efficiently in an air conditioned office. As the small plastic basket fills, there’s some sort of sensor that automatically shuts off the machine from creating another load, so it can be left relatively unattended. I haven’t paid much attention to the scooping design which collects the cubes and dumps them into the basket, but there haven’t been any problems with it so far.I use water from a filtered fountain and the cubes taste fine, perhaps even better than the water straight out of the filter. I have not tested with unfiltered water, but the water is so gross in my neck of the woods I would be afraid to damage it.I work around a lot of humming machines, so the noise is easy for me to tune out. It can be a little noisy when cycling, so if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing you might want to put it in a different room. I honestly don’t care either way, because the ice is convenient and delicious!Very glad I purchased it, and wavering on getting a second one for at home.

  16. I bought this ice maker in March and it worked well for about 6 months. The ice melts fairly quickly so you have to transfer it to the freezer. It’s a little noisy but that wasn’t too bothersome. I am disappointed that only 6 months later the moving part that pushes the ice into the basket now gets stuck and causes the cycle to discontinue. It’s unusable. I am planning to contact Frigidaire to see if it can be repaired easily but I was hoping it would last long enough to more than pay for itself. At this rate if I have to buy a new one already I probably barely broke even.

  17. The media could not be loaded.  This is a great little ice machine. I have had it for 3 months now. Very easy to use. It is small and doesn’t take up much space. It makes to sizes odd bullet cubes and small size and a large size. It takes about 20-30 min to make a full basket (a lot of ice).

  18. This ice maker is very easy to use, not overly sized so it fits in my tiny kitchen. The ice machine makes plenty of ice. The only draw back is that it does not keep the ice frozen. I have to lay small amount of cubes on a cookie sheet to freeze solid, then put them into my ice bin or all the cubes freeze together into one big clump.

  19. I used this machine for about a year. It makes good ice at a frequent rate, but there’s a few things I struggled with. The ice melts faster than normal freezer made ice because it’s made instantly in the machine. It is a bit noisy, but it’s not too loud. The ice was worth it to me.After a few months it seemed to constantly get moldy, I would take the parts out and clean it the best I could but there are really small nooks that I could only clean with a tooth pick. No matter how frequently I cleaned it, the mold was stuck in parts of the machine I couldn’t reach. I’ve recently seen they make liquid cleaners you can run through the machine to internally wash out any bad stuff. I wasn’t aware of this at the time, and I had to throw it away because of how bad the mold was. This is something whoever owns this should keep in mind!Overall I love ice, and this was something I loved and relied on for a long time.

  20. As a tenant of a cozy apartment, finding appliances that fit my limited space without sacrificing functionality is always a challenge. That’s why I’m beyond thrilled with my AGLUCKY Ice Maker! This compact gem has been a game-changer. Here’s how:Efficiency and Speed: The AGLUCKY Ice Maker lives up to its promise, churning out 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes in just 6 to 8 minutes. It’s impressive how quickly I can get a batch ready for my morning smoothie or an impromptu get-together with friends.Capacity and Performance: Despite its compact size, this ice maker works hard, producing up to 26.5 pounds of ice in 24 hours. I’ve never run out of ice, even when hosting a small party. The two selectable ice sizes are perfect for different needs, from cooling drinks to packing a cooler for a picnic.Self-Cleaning Feature: Living in a small space means I highly value appliances that are easy to maintain, and the AGLUCKY doesn’t disappoint. The self-cleaning function ensures the machine stays clean and hygienic with minimal effort on my part, a feature that’s especially important in a compact living environment.Portability: I was pleasantly surprised by how portable this ice maker is. It fits perfectly on my kitchen countertop without taking up much space, and I can easily move it if I need to rearrange things or take it to a friend’s place for an event. The AGLUCKY Ice Maker is a must-have for any small apartment dweller who loves to entertain or simply enjoys the convenience of having fresh ice on demand.

  21. Perfect ice cube shape for all types of drinks. Easy directions to make the ice. It does take a little long in between ice coming out. As in all the ice doesn’t get produced at the same time. The ice melts a little bit in machine by the next time ice is made. Overall works pretty good.

  22. I’ll admit that I went into this pretty skeptical of the ice maker, both because of the low price and the lesser-known manufacturer. A family member had a similar countertop ice maker and spoke very highly of it, and I got tired of being the only person in my office to keep refilling the ice trays in the freezer, so I invested in one to automate the process.Initially, I was very let down. It only made 4-5 pieces of ice at a time, and they were misshapen and thin. Over a month or so, it started producing even less ice, until it eventually stopped altogether. I’m assuming a refrigerant leak, but before it completely conked out, I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance. After a quick back and forth they sent me a brand new one. I’ve had it for a month or so, and I’m so impressed by this one that I felt I owed them a review. Now that I have one that functions properly, WOW. 12 ice cube trays being rotated on a daily basis weren’t enough to keep up with my coworkers, but this thing spits out ice so fast we’ll fill our entire bin in a few hours, even with people actively using it. It’s only on for three days a week; if we left it on in perpetuity, we’d be able to swim in all the ice it produces, Scrooge McDuck-style.I don’t review products all that often, but both their response to my support request with the first one and the resulting product were fantastic, and I can’t recommend this one enough.

  23. This Frigidaire EFIC123-SS (at cost+tax was $97.40) arrived today on 2/22/2024. It is a replacement to Frigidaire EFIC189-Silver that failed on 2/20/2024. The EFIC189-Silver (at cost+tax was $140.71) replaced an Igloo ICEB26SS on 2/16/2022 after it failed. The Igloo was purchased on 2/21/2020 (at cost+tax was $128.51). Which replaced an Ice maker bought in SAM’s for $79.99 cost (add 8.25% tax) around 2/15/2018. All broke from a plastic gear. All have the same internal features. All made in China. This new version EFIC123-SS was built on 1/2024. I predict it too will fail within two years or sooner as it has very cheap plastic compared to the other three. However, I did notice that this machine is lighter weight and it has many more vent holes such that you can “see” the internal compressor and wiring (not very water splash protected) where others were more sealed.I doubt the heat caused any of the past ice makers to break. It was the cheap plastic gear inside it. Each had a plastic tooth part and plastic shavings floating in the water the day it broke. Oh, interesting fact Frigidaire does not carry replacement parts for their compact counter top ice makers. That means these are meant to be throwaway appliances. So no matter the brand … if it looks and feels like these three and you really need a counter top space saving ice maker (like I do) … buy the cheapest Brand … After all, they all are Built in China and made with Chinese Parts. As I can guarantee as long as that gear is plastic, and once a tooth chips off, that ice maker is toast. Now the good thing, this particular little machine looks like you can open it up compared to the older models and just might be able to replace that stupid little gear.So no guarantees how long these last (averaging 2 years for me, very consistently, different brands too).Good luck with the “insurance” not worth the hassle or money spent, but that’s my opinion. Knowing my luck the machine will crap out the day after it expires. I’ll be back to review in 2 years. Will it last or crap out just as all of these style ice makers do.Love the ice they produce, saves me freezer space, and have ice 24/7 and fast … until that pesky gear breaks.

  24. We are using the ice machine for our small office. Very compact and quiet, works quickly at dispensing small or large ice cubes. Best purchase we made this year. When it turns off if there is ice in the machine, it nicely melts back down in the reserve for next use.Highly Recommend! Way to Go Frigidaire!

  25. Ice maker works great continually keeps us in ice in our RV or at home. Great solution for ice on the go or home.

  26. The ice maker in my new Kitchen Aid refrigerator/freezer frequently stops producing ice.A service technician is coming out yet again tomorrow. This happens frequently enough thatI got sick and tired of running out to buy ice, so I decided to purchase a countertop ice maker. After searching product reviews on various web sites I decided that this Silonn Ice Maker would probablyfit my needs……..AND IT DOES!! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it produced decent sized bullet ice.The ice needs to be removed quickly and transferred to a freezer but I accumulated a good supply in a reasonable amount of time. No need to go out to purchase ice.

  27. This ice maker is an excellent point-of-use product, but it will only hold ice frozen for a short period. The ice melts and refills the water reservoir. If needing a lot of ice, use freezer bins or baggies.

  28. Easy to use. Suggest cleaning unit after 3 months of use. Very quiet.A good choice for a ice maker.

  29. This machine works wonders after letting it sit for the 24 hours. It started making ice like crazy. It’s very clean and crisp. It’s not loud at all and it is the definitely cool that it self cleans.

  30. I searched for an ice machine and kept seeing machines in the $100 range. I kept searching and found this machine. I am so glad I did. I saw the reviews where people complained about the noise but I do not think it is so bad. I was buying Ice at the supermarket and hated running out. This machine makes Ice to fill a couple of i gallon pitchers in about 40 minutes. I am very happy. I use spring water for the ice and I love it.My only complaint is that it does not use all of the water you put in and i am afraid the plug in the bottom will wear out.

  31. I am so glad I purchased this nugget ice maker, it is a quality appliance. I love the Sonic style ice and my machine allows me to enjoy this at home. It is so easy to set up and makes ice really fast. I have had no issues with my maker. It is quiet and efficient.

  32. Love this product. It’s super easy to use. Very quiet. Makes ice quickly. Only regret is that I didn’t purchase it sooner!!

  34. It’s small enough for use in my kitchenette. Makes as much ice as I need. It’s as I expected.

  35. I did love it for 1 year and 8 months. It stopped freezing the water 2 days ago. Cleaned regularly including the fans of dust.Really disappointed!Upgrading to a nugget machine next, I guess.

Wow! My husband is a little bit particular about making ice. This thing has saved him so much time! It’s super easy to use and convenient. It does have to be stored in a particular temperature so we cannot keep it in the garage. However, it doesn’t take up a ton of counter space, it’s about the size of an air fryer. The ice comes out slightly watery but he puts it into a bag and into the freezer. After a while he drops the bag a few times and dumps it into the bucket so they don’t stick together. It’s super super convenient!

  37. Bought this based on reviews I read. This is a great ice maker! Got it for my husband as a Christmas gift. He just absolutely loves it! Would of bought one sooner if I realized how happy it would make him. It makes ice fast, it’s easy to use and not loud. He usually makes enough ice to fill a one gallon bag at a time and keeps in the freezer. Would definitely recommend. Hope it brings you as much happiness as my husband! 🙂
