  1. I bought this laptop for use in my new home-based business. My old computer was slow. This one is amazingly fast, and I love that it has Windows 10 Pro. I have seen this same computer listed at Walmart for $1500, and this computer has everything I need. Setup and update was the fastest and easiest I have ever experienced on any computer.I have only had this for a few days, so I’m sure I will discover even more features as time goes by, but for now, here are my favorite things about this computer. It works flawlessly with a second monitor hooked up to itIt has a 10-key option built into the keyboard. If you hold down the Fn button on the left side of the keyboard, you can use the 10-key function with your right hand. I thought about attaching a second keyboard to this so I would have 10-key, but now I don’t have to. The power cord plugs into the back instead of into the side, which just works out better for me. This computer is lightning fast. I can have 10 or more open tabs on my web browser, and it doesn’t slow down a bit! I don’t know what it is about it, but the touchpad just feels nicer and seems easier to use. The surface of the touch pad and the area around it is textured. Maybe this is what makes it easier. Also, the buttons are where you can see them, rather than hidden within the touch pad. Mine does have a backlit keyboard, but do be aware that this is a luck-of-the-draw feature. Not all of these will have that. The battery life seems to be really long. I have not used it away from my desk much, but during the few times that I have left it unplugged for a few hours, I noticed very little drain on the battery compared to my old laptop. The picture is very high-quality. I have a second monitor hooked up to it, which is also brand new, and other than the monitor being larger, I do not discern any difference in the picture quality.I will say it would have been nice if it had a touch-screen, but with all this laptop’s good features and qualities, I adapted very quickly to not having a touchscreen.I am sure there are a lot of other things to love about this laptop, which I will discover over time. I will keep updating this review as I find more awesome features. I was a little nervous about getting a refurbished computer, but I am so glad I did. I never could have gotten this caliber of a computer within my budget, and it is what I needed. This is the best investment I have made into my new business so far.I use this computer for office and business-related tasks. I put it through a pretty good load with a lot of multitasking during use, in ways my old laptop could not tolerate. It seems to have the resources to handle everything I throw at it. I was thinking I would just buy a lower-cost laptop for now, then get a more expensive one once I get my business off the ground, but this one is a keeper!I do not know how this would perform for gaming, as I am not a gamer and have never tried any gaming. I just know it has everything I wanted in a laptop for business needs. If you need a computer for work or just for general everyday use, I highly recommend this one.

  2. Es exactamente como se describe, muy veloz, muy ligera fácil de transportar, muy buena resolución. Cumplio con mis expectativas.

  3. This doesn’t have touch screen on my model. The FHD display really surprised me. It’s better picture than a lot of these TVs. As with all products they hide the defects from you until a month later. As soon as the 33th day rolled on I turned on the laptop and discovered sure enough it’s got a burnt pixel. No way to fix that without replacing the screen. Unless you have 5+ burned out pixels, good luck getting a return or any repairs. HP is still shady in that regard. I fully upgraded the machine when I got it. 16GB ram, 1TB Samsung 980 SSD. The performance actually is comparable to my tower in many respects. I have a Geforce 980, an octocore AMD CPU, and 24GB DDR3 ram in my tower. This laptop of course has a little less RAM, but it plays games about just as well as on my tower. I really am surprised at this. The cooling situation is absolutely garbage with this laptop. The engineers put the CPU exhaust port pointing directly into the hinge portion of the case. This makes it so the computer is actively fighting by blowing air into a 1/5 CM gap. There is just a row of holes in the bottle for air intake. I picked up a tray with a cooling fan pad and that solved the heat problem. I see it having problems in the future just because of how they designed the fan. The excess heat not only kills your hardware lifespan but it slows your machine down by auto throttling. If I could I would have installed heat spreaders all over the inside of this machine, but there just isn’t room. They couldn’t even be bothered to make the air inlets in the front of the case. It is asking to burn up after so many years deliberately. I had problems with HP in the past, they screwed up a laptop return I sent in, then blamed me for water damage when I had before and after pictures, so I’m not shocked at how they treat customers. I swore I’d not buy another HP but this one was just too cheap to pass up. It’s super light weight. The camera is nothing fancy, in Windows 11, you will find you lack all of your audio enhancement options. It’s instead been replaced by this crap HP audio tool. Ditch it as soon as you can and find something like Pulse audio so you can hear out of the cheap cheap cheap dog szzz cheap speakers. You’ll also want to get a good set of headphones. The performance is a little low unless you do add that second stick of RAM as so many other people have pointed out. The machine simply wasn’t designed properly, and they are taking it out of the consumers pocket by keeping them ignorant and not showing important aspects such as showing how the fan is smack dab in the middle of a 1/2cm gap. When you close the lid and open it after 20 minutes you’ll find it’s incredibly warm if you have it hooked up to HDMI. It forces you to keep the screen open, which isn’t good to have static screens. I honestly think the burned out pixel happened just from the excess heat, but there isn’t anything I can do about it. It isn’t that bad, but once you see something you can never unsee it. I have a warranty but again, it’s not going to cover this damage, so I spent money and not even 30 days later it has depreciated in value by the price of the LCD screen. The case is the cheapest plastic they could find. Given this was produced during the pandemic you’re left with another problem. Check your RAM speeds. If you get stuck with a 1R16 chip you’re basically having 1 librarian trying to organize 16 shelves, whereas the good ram 2R8 would be equal to 2 librarians keeping up with 8 shelves. Now you can see how the extra work load slows your machine. They don’t mention this in their sales page or documentation, and you’ll only find out AFTER you get it and run software to look at it, or pull the machine apart. Overall, I probably wouldn’t buy this machine again, even though it works fast for an entry level computer. It’s just too poorly designed. I give it a year or two before it fails. Most likely, knowing HP it will be 26 minutes after the OEM warranty expires. They used this planned obsolescence to rip off customers, and even though it’s been nearly 8 years since I swore I wouldn’t buy another one, they changed; for the worse.

  6. So this was the first non high-end gaming laptop I’ve ever purchased, with the intent of using it as a cheap laptop to carry around for school, work, and general basic use. To be quite honest, it’s surprisingly nice! After I got over the initial shock of downgrading to a 15″ display from my previous 17″, the screen is of good quality. The processing speed is not disappointing at all. The sound is great (it actually can get obnoxiously loud if you are into that). I don’t find Windows 11 to be offensive to use. Keyboard is friendly. It seems to be built well and feels of decent quality (not super cheap feeling). It’s light to carry. Loads videos and webpages quickly. No crashing or general use issues as of yet. I’ve even run the full Adobe Creative Suite on this thing and it’s running just fine. I’m really pleasantly surprised. And coming from someone who is used to a 5k+ Alienware Gaming Laptop (aka me), the fact that I don’t hate this thing is truly impressive enough. If you pressed me to find something I don’t love about it, I’d say the fan seems to run more than expected and the battery life is meh. It gives you zero warning before just shutting off after dying. But after the panic subsided that I had just possibly lost all my work, I plugged it in and hit the power button, only to be giddy with happiness that it just booted up with all my web pages still loaded and logged in the way I left it. So I am not even mad. No touch screen on my model. And I can’t attest to it’s gaming abilities because, well, I have an Alienware for that. Seriously though, best spent $400 ever.

  7. Received the product in a timely fashion. Had Windows on it. First boot up, Cortona talked me through set up. I had a Microsoft account already. Installed personal software on it. Luckily, kept my personal files from my prior laptop on a flash drive. Used product for three days and while in the middle of being on a website, it crashed. Got a Blue Screen error. Then got Black screen when I tried to reboot. Took it to local Geek shop. Below is their message of what was wrong with it:”The laptop’s SSD was formatted using the MBR partition format instead of GPT, completely opening it up for failure as MBR can easily cause data corruption and as a result, boot issues. GPT stores the data and way the partitions are organized in a more secure way in order to prevent corruption. We were able to run chkdsk and sfc, two commands within the Windows command prompt on an external system in order to fix the corruption in the boot files of the drive. We then ran a program built into windows to convert your drive from MBR to GPT to ensure this does not happen again.Your total service charge will be $249 (minus the $59 diagnosis fee, you will owe $190 upon pickup of your device). “I spent more to get it fixed than I paid for it. The total out of pocket for me, I could have bought a brand new laptop.I will have to fight with seller and Amazon on making this right to me. I am keeping it because I have no other computer.

  8. I needed a new laptop computer just for general use and this one from Amazon seemed like it would do the job. So far I’ve been very pleased with the machine. I’ve been using it for web browsing using Chrome and some general light computing work and it has worked great.I like the screen a lot. Text is clear and easy to read and 1920×1080 resolution is plenty for a screen of this size. It has been bright enough to use outside when I was working on setting up some networking equipment for a friend. The keyboard and track pad both feel nice and work well. I wish the little bumps that identify the home row keys were a little bit larger but overall it is pretty good.I have another 8GB of ram ordered so that I can have 16GB by just adding another card.Yesterday I upgraded the memory to 16GB using a Crucial CT8G4SFRA32A. This plugged right in but in order to install the extra stick of memory I had to remove the back from the computer. I had to take out about 8 screws and then carefully pry off the back using a plastic spudger. All done with no problems but access could be easier. This is my first machine with the Windows 11 operating system. Out of the box and in day to day use it has been very good. Adding my printers, applications and other stuff has been painless, sleep, waking up and overall power management has all worked well. The computer didn’t come with a huge amount of crapware to remove either. There were a few things like some McCafee stuff but nothing excessive.I have not pushed the battery life all that much but so far it has been very adequate for my needs.I’ve liked the machine well enough to order another one for a family member who needs a new Windows PC.So far so good after a couple of weeks and well worth the money.

  9. El teclado viene en inglés, los colores de la pantalla no son muy intensos, por lo demás esta muy bien

  10. Had to buy a computer to replace one at short notice with limited financial resources. After a search and extensive research I decided to buy this device. It has far surpassed my expectations of what I need my computer to do. IT is fast the battery life is average which is good. I really like the keyboard for long typing sessions and the size and weight is just right. Would love more contrast in the design of they keyboard to make it easier to navigate but it isn’t such a big problem since I type without looking at keys most of the time.

  11. La verdad llegó en un Muy buenas condiciones y todo está funcionando perfectamente la verdad valió la penaAh y hasta llegó antes

  12. I’ve used many laptops for work over the years and this one is right up there with the best of them.Being retired now, I’m only using this laptop with 6 Bose speakers as my home stereo and the fidelity is excellent. It rapidly loaded over 10K songs from my remote storage drive and Windows Media Player keeps all of the artists, albums, and songs well sorted. It’s much faster and even without an equalizer sounds better than my old Dell Latitude.Highly recommended.

  13. The top of the laptop is peeling in the corners and there’s a spot and line on the screen but really I hook it up to a tv anyway and they’re minor defects. It runs awesome, it’s perfect, I program and play leagues and it just does everything and everything well. Couldn’t ask for a better computer for 300 bucks

  14. Decent laptop for the money. My 6yr old 15” pro book gave up and I needed something to just simply run several screens for working call center at my home office. The build is cheap and the charger sucks, but for what it cost I’m happy. The ssd is twice the size as my old laptop which is nice, but the processor (i3) is basically the same. I could care less about a touch screen but I guess if that’s something you want it’s a nice feature. My travel laptop 14” pro book is made like a tank while this thing feels extremely flimsy and cheap. Once again, the price is right but don’t expect professional grade quality.

  15. This is a great computer especially for the price. Only flaw I noticed is that it SEEMS like the battery doesn’t last very long. But, it could be just how I am using it. Still recommend it.

  16. My only true complaint are the keys, the letters are hard to see if you are not working under good bright light. Someone mentioned that the keys are loud. Granted they are not like my laptop at work that makes no sound, but they don’t sound like a clumpy typewriter or cheap keyboard. I have never been able to quite figure out how to multitask an a laptop, but this one almost does it for you, and I absolutely love that. I also love that it connected to my phone with no hiccups whatsoever. I can be video chatting on my laptop, have a message come through on the phone and answer the message on the laptop and never skip a beat. I also enjoy that without being touchscreen, it has and can download apps without feeling like a laptop. This is a good fast computer for the price. I would recommend it highly to anyone that is not super high-tech ( not sure if it’s a gaming laptop) and looking for a nice home laptop

  17. Pretty fast for the price. Works great for modded Stardew Valley. Looks really clean and is very light weight. Had it for a month and no issues can handle work and streaming easily as well just gotta turn off S mode. It doesn’t have touch screen which I didnt want anyways so no big deal.

  18. This was a slight upgrade from my older Latitude and I think it’s okay. It’s lightweight and not slow. The battery life seems like it could last longer, but that could be the result of my apps/usage. I know the computer is refurbished so I expected a few knicks. The exterior of the computer is clean. Thought the USB on the right side is not secure (wires act as if there’s a shortage) & the computer shuts down at the lightest tap. (I set my portable mouse onto the speaker area and the screen went black. Came right back on but definitely had some sort of technical or mechanical issue. Overall a cool computer until I decide to buy a better brand.

  19. Esta Laptop la compre para mi hija que esta en la universidad hasta el momento de esta opinión no a tenido ningún problema. Lo que le gustó mucho es el rendimiento de la batería

Great little machine! The only downside is there is no backlit keyboard. But I never use a laptop in the dark, so it is OK for me

  21. This is a very good product and I am glad I bought it but beware to the buyers, battery life is not very good on these and you will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11 (You will be stuck on 10). Other than that, these computers are great and I enjoy using mine!

  23. This computer is usable just clunky. It was inexpensive so I grit what I paid for.

  24. wanted a low cost windows laptop and this was perfect. Comes with Windows 11, and initially set to Safe Mode (S Mode) which you can easily turn it off to download whatever apps needed, including Chrome, Cricut Design Space, and Examplify/ExamSoft. I’m not a gamer, but I’m a crafter and do a lot of work for non profits. I have an existing Microsoft 365 account so set up was really easy. I uninstalled McAfee. I set Chrome as my default browser. The trackpad looks like it’s set more to the left but it’s actually centered with the space bar, because the laptop comes with the 10-number key pad to the right (most others usually don’t). The power charger bar is really small. The touchscreen is a nice feature (but not really necessary). Start up is pretty fast. The 15 inch screen is nice.

  25. The Windows 11 operating system has made my life a lot easier when it comes to working on projects, etc. Love the size of this computer and I have been using it a lot more than previously owned computers/ laptops.Highly recommended for adults who just want to work and conduct research on their computer rather than spending time trying figuring how to operate the computer system.

  26. Works great when it boots up but doesn’t always boot up properly. Also, battery did not work at all so plan on only using it while it’s plugged up or purchasing a new battery.

  27. I think this is an excellent computer it has all of the features I need Plus a lot of internal memory and storage. The keys are easy to use. I was able to hook up an external mouse and a 1 TB external drive so I rate this computer as an excellent and give it five stars all the way around

  28. I got this refurbished or ‘used’ with some hesitation but trusted positive reviews about the seller, and I couldn’t be happier. This worked straight out of the box – hit power button, operating system loaded and ready to go. It’s plenty fast for me which is email, surfing web and streaming, that’s really about all I use or need it for. I will agree with others the battery is lousy, don’t know if it came semi-depleted or they’re just lousy batteries, but I’ve had this for a year and I’m lucky if it lasts an hour. Just ordered replacement. But will say after a year of use no issues with the laptop itself, which came in for around $175 as I recall. I bought the purchase protection plan for 2 years just in case, maybe another $40 but touch wood have no needed it. I’d say buy with confidence.

  29. I use it for school and it has worked perfectly. The battery last long and is quite fast. I recommend it.

  30. I originally bought one at walmart, and had to take it back because it was so slow. My son just needed something easy for school and to do assignments. This was the best laptop for the price, touchscreen was a definite plus!!

  31. Beginner Computer laptop, this was great pricing for a first time learner it has been working wonderfully for me for the past eight months I taught myself how to type on this I also use it to watch movies it sure is handy for whenever I had to do a job interview via Skype

  32. This computer had some issues. One of them being that some were not working such as the brightness or volume. I was trying to reset everything but it wouldn’t let me.. for unknown reasons. I tried EVERYTHING (every method) to reset it to be able to return it but it wouldn’t let me. All my accounts are still there.. I tried deleting one by one but there still some personal stuff I cannot delete from this device. I have a strong feeling the seller did this on purpose to steal out information (I hope I’m from about this). I’m very very disappointed of this purchase.

  33. Works perfectly, all things as advertised, I am satisfied. Very clean, well packaged with lots of padding, fully functional, no issues at all. Overall a good purchase for about half the price of a new laptop.

  34. I write, watch news and blogs, stream, shop. The quirky word processor is sometimes irritating but that is Microsoft, not the laptop. Large screen, touchscreen. Bluetooth. Everything works.

  35. Good quality laptop. Occasionally the on/off button will not work. Not sure why. But we do eventually get it to turn on and when it does work it works great.

  36. The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this weeks ago and it’s a good laptop, it’s super light weight, fast and modern looking, just a hint that this product dosent come with MCagee which is a virus product for laptops, and they will try to get you to call them and give your information, bank info etc be careful, overall one of the best laptops I ever owned.

  37. Everything as expected, my husband is happy with his new laptop

  38. I was sold a laptop with a bad motherboard and Amazon & HP have been useless in resolving my issue. Go to a store. That way if you have any issues you can talk to someone. Trying to resolve this issue through chats and a support desk has been abysmal! A waste of money and I now have to spend another $400 on another laptop. Very disappointed and just straight pissed! Do not buy unless you want weeks of misery and losing all your data!

  39. Received my laptop today and in excellent condition started right away looks like it is brand new I am totally happy. Could not be happier.

  40. love this thing. nothing out of the ordinary for a used laptop but honestly im so impressed with the condition its in. the packaging was absolutely amazing works great i was a little skeptical as i bought it for some music production and while its not a super computer it does what i need it to. very happy with my product 🙂

  41. Computer came and looks brand new . No scratches or marks. Was ready to use and works great. Would recommend this product.

  42. This product is just wonderful. It works beautifully. Very good quality, like new. Use streaming, mostly. Everything about it is grerat. Good job refurbishing it.

  43. I am thrilled with my Lenovo IdeaPad 3, especially considering its purpose as my learning companion for coding! This laptop has been an absolute gem, delivering reliable performance without any slowdowns or glitches. One of the standout features for me is the size of the screen, which provides ample real estate for coding projects while still maintaining portability. The touchscreen functionality adds an extra layer of convenience, making navigation and interaction a breeze.Typing on the keyboard feels incredibly comfortable, enhancing my overall coding experience. It’s a small detail, but it makes a significant difference during long coding sessions. While I have nothing but praise for this laptop, the only downside I’ve encountered is its battery life. As someone who uses the computer extensively throughout the day, I find myself tethered to the power outlet to avoid running out of juice after 2-3 hours. However, given the stellar performance and affordability of this laptop, I’m more than willing to overlook this minor inconvenience.Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 has exceeded my expectations and proven to be one of my best investments. If you’re in the market for a reliable and budget-friendly laptop for coding or general use, look no further than this powerhouse!

  44. This computer is easy to navigate and the screen clarity is fantastic! Great products for the price.

  45. My old computer was shot so I took it to a computer repairman. He got it working but he said it wouldn’t work long. He recommended Lenovo and he found the best one for me at Amazon. We ordered it right from his office and it was delivered to him and he set it up for me. I’m thrilled with my new computer! It’s so easy to use and so fast! Highly recommend!
