  1. Benfotiamine prevents and treats polyneuropathy (neuropathy), leukoencephalopathy (encephalopathy/psychopathy), nephropathy (podocytopathy/glomerulopathy), microangiopathy, retinopathy, maculopathy, papillopathy, keratopathy, opthalmopathy, macroangiopathy (arteriopathy), cardiomyopathy (cardiopathy), myopathy, mitochondriopathy, endotheliopathy, channelopathy, embryopathy, fetopathy, osteopathy, arthropathy (osteoarthropathy/cheiroarthropathy/cheiropathy), plexopathy, radiculopathy (radiculoplexopathy), lymphadenopathy, myelopathy, mastopathy, rhinopathy, cochleopathy, vestibulopathy, labyrinthopathy, pulmonopathy, hepatopathy, uropathy, cystopathy, gastroenteropathy (gastropathy/enteropathy/pancreatopathy/colopathy), coagulopathy, endometriosis (endometriopathy), periodontitis (periodontopathy), dermopathy (scleredema/sclerodactyly), and impaired wound healing (impaired cicatrisation) but does not lower blood glucose or HbA1c. Benfotiamine was first developed in Japan in the early 1960s to treat alcoholic polyneuropathy (alcoholic neuritis) and also beriberi. Other superstar nutritional supplements that originated from Japan include: (1)Nattokinase (from Japanese natto), (2)Vitamin K2/MK-7 (from Japanese natto), (3)Serrapeptase (from Japanese silkworms), (4)Fucoidan (from Japanese wakame, kombu, or hijiki), (5)Lentinan (from Japanese shiitake mushrooms), and (6)Coenzyme Q10 (not invented in Japan but at one time, made only in Japan as a byproduct of natto fermentation or yeast fermentation). In addition, Korean Red Ginseng, the most effective ginseng, originates from Japan’s next-door neighbor, Korea, and Soy Isoflavones (genistein, daidzein, and glycitein), which are now available in capsules, originate from China, the birthplace of soy. Don’t be afraid to swallow at least one 150mg benfotiamine capsule daily. Some people say that they have gotten better results swallowing 900mg or 1,200mg daily. In the highly unlikely event that you experience any negative side effects, reduce your dosage. Unlike vitamin B1 (thiamin), benfotiamine (prothiamin) is not contained in any foods. Benfotiamine works by blocking the formation of Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs), which are abnormal link-ups between glucose and tissue proteins. Doctor’s Best Benfotiamine capsules contain “Benf-O-Pure” Japanese benfotiamine. Although diabetics have a much higher rate of AGE formation due to increased oxidative stress from hyperglycemia, people who have never had diabetes also suffer form AGE formation caused by normal metabolism and normal aging. Also, we create AGEs in foods when we cook foods at high temperatures. [Cooking foods at high temperatures also creates cancer-causing acrylamide, cancer-causing alkanals, cancer-causing alkanels, cancer-causing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, cancer-causing heterocyclic amines, and cancer-causing nitrosamines]. Researchers have implicated the accumulation of AGEs in the human body in the progression of age-related diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, stroke, cataracts, macular degeneration, asthma, arthritis, periodontitis, and muscle weakness. The accumulation of AGEs has also been shown to inhibit vascular dilation by interfering with nitric oxide and by oxidizing LDL cholesterol. Alpha-lipoic acid, metformin, and pioglitazone have been shown to inhibit AGE formation but not as well as benfotiamine. Benfotiamine will very likely help the human body repair nerve damage even if diabetes was not the cause.

  2. very happy with product, helps with my pre-diabetic neuropathy and general aches and pains. i take one in the morning, one in the late afternoon, my aches much more manageable. Seller always gets this product to me faster than delivery predictions, most appreciated.

  3. I don’t have diabetes, nor am I pre diabetic. But in have had problems with neuropathy tingling and numbness for years. Most often it never got any worse than that. I used to take bitter melon when the tingling was particularly troublesome and it worked very well…Then about 3 months ago I started to get much more pain in my hands, and especially my feet…A true neuropathy pain or damage was developing. It some times is just like you have walked several miles and they hurt like hell. Other times they had a terrible aching that could not be relived by any pain killer I tried..But no question the very worst of it was this relentless, intense, sensitivity where you can’t even bear to even touch your feet, or each other.. This sensitivity was something I could barely able to take without running off to some treatment center somewhere and begging them to give me anything or do anything to relieve at least some of it..If anyone has ever had shingles and remembers the terrible sensitivity of your whole torso you know exactly what I mean…Things like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, occasionally helped some, but not with the horrible burning feeling and pain. I ended up having to sit up in a chair all night at it’s worth with my feet on a pillow and separated. Laying down and trying to sleep was was just slow torture…Their touching each other, tops of the overs, was inevitable and painful.I was actually surprised to see how little they had written up about this pain, especially the kind of neuropathy that is not caused by diabetes. My research into it necessitated that I always make sure I typed “non diabetic” to get any results for searches…Actually what caused my neuropathy is immaterial. I just know that it was not from diabetes and the highly touted Alpha Lipoic Acid, an effective anti pain choice for diabetic neuropathy sufferers that I tried at first did not do a thing to stem the pain here.. Enter this Drs, Choice Benfo that showed up first on Amazon when going for an effective home remedy I had never heard of it, but it was full of testimonials about people with horrible neuropathy foot feeling everything from a complete recovery to just an acceptable level of relief. Both from diabetic and non diabetic neuropathy. I would say that my level of effectiveness with it being around 7 to 8 on a 9 to 10 scale. With amount of painful, sleepless nights I have had, that is a godsend…There were some mornings I needed crutches just to stand up..I’ll fully admit I don’t go or trust doctors unless I am absolutely forced too. I investigate here online what is going on with my symptoms first.. I did learn that there is really not much doctors can do with this except provide a prescription drug that is a last resort for me…I hate being tied to a doctor and insurance companies just for painkillers..Not the case so far here now that I have found this..In conclusion, this is not a miracle drug that will see all of us running around the block first thing in the morning. But I can say that is certainly is the most painful, crippling condition I have ever come across or been afflicted with in my life. And any real time of effective relief from it I am grateful for..I take it now regularly for pain relief. It comes close to a miracle price charge however with other so called remedies for Neuro foot pain coming in some instances near three times much. I tried them too. Didn’t work. Just a last couple of things to remember…I started out using this at the suggested dosage which is once a day. It took me a while to realize that some people here with other brands as well as this take sometimes double and even triple the dosage to get relief. I now take a capsule day and night and are doing much better.. (Try taking this with Arthritis strength tylenol every 12 hours…Never did me any good by itself, but along with this Benfo it seems much more effective…And although there is more powerful Benfo to be had, I like Dr.s Best and used it for years. It’s a worthy part of my daily regimen here..Really great stuff that is a blessing to me and comes at a very fair price. The worst it can do is not help you…The best will be that you will write a review where you just can’t say enough about it…:)

  4. Do not know facts about long-term side effects of using, but the short term effect of relief from peripheral neuopathy pain and tingling and numbness is wonderful, so as to not endure the prescription drug side effects of gambapentin, which causes fatigue, sleepiness, unsteadiness on my feet, and now even some temporary (so-far) hearing loss. My doctors can not tell me anything more than what I find of the internet about safety, but one finds that one has to do what one has to do. Viable alternative for anyone who is already unsteady on their feet to avoid worsening that condition.Update: After using this product since summer 2018, I can credit this product with saving me from unbelievable misery from peripheral neuropathy due to medically necessary treatments. I felt relief starting within an hour after taking the first pill, but the effect only lasted about two hours, so I found myself taking them at a rate that worried me about injurious side effects, but could not resist taking the pill because I needed the relief to be able to live my life.Upon the doctor’s recommendation, I also tried L-glutamine and the supplements of the B-complex. Unfortunatley I experienced no relief whatsover from the L-glutamine, which I had hoped would reduce my use of the benfotiamine, since no authentic studies have been done on the long term effects of high doses (or even low doses) of benfotiamine. But since my doctor was so surprised that I was getting no relief from the L-glutamine, I decided to try another brand to see if that made a difference. The brand I had tried first was from the nationally known “nutrition” store chain that I had thought would be more reliable. BEWARE, since the FDA does not regulate supplements, we are totally at the mercy of the sellers, and apparently national name recognition means nothing. I got another brand sold on Amazon, and lo and behold, I felt quite a bit of relief with the new product. So then I started to alternate dosing between the two products, the benfotiamine and the L-glutamine, hoping to reduce at least somewhat any negative effects of over-use of either product. Dosing with either product is now spaced much farther apart, usually at least 8 hours, and I must always use the benfotiamine before going to bed and immediately upon arising, but then I have to take blood pressure pills at those times also, so it is just part of my routine. Lengthy exposure to extreme heat seems to increase the effects of the neuropathy, just as a side note, and since I do a lot of outside work, those are the days that I have to take either the benfo or the L-gluti more often, and if I don’t, there will be no sleep for a long time that night, because I refuse to increase the amount I take at any one time to compensate for not having stopped my work to take a dose when I felt the need during the day. This brand has worked extremely well for me, and I could not be more grateful.Good luck to all of you out there who are hurting. BTW, so far I can not attribute any side effects to the usage of befo or L-gluti. But be aware, and try another brand of any supplement that has good repute from others but doesn’t do well for you–it may just be a manufacturing problem. Maybe some day the FDA will step in and help us. Oh, almost forgot–tinnitus in my left ear comes right back if I don’t take my benfo soon enough, but goes away about an hour after taking the benfo. Another huge HUGE benefit of benfo!!!I can only say, my life wouldn’t be worth living without Benfotiamine, even now, 2 years after starting using it.

  5. Not really sure how to express how much this product has change my working habits and overall life.If you lack mental focus, suffer from food cravings, nerve pain this stuff will change your life. This particular brand of B1 absorbs better. My recall is on another level now. I find my self cleaning my apartment more. Working out more. Sharper at work. I also sprained my knee recently and B1 healed the nerve damage permanently.Do some research and you will find our typical diets force us to be deficient in B1. Also read that diabetics need even more B1 than most and this could help heal some nerve pain that they experience. Kids need B1 even more.Spread the word.—————————————————2 years updateI was taking B1 off and on due to so many supplements that I take and cycle on and off from.Well what brought me back you ask? Even though I cut back my consumption of Alcohol significantly I still noticed some moderate brain fog and trouble with concentration. I also fast a lot. After getting some X-rays done recently I felt disoriented and not myself. GOD has a way of sending me these random YouTube algorithm videos. I happened to run into this Elliot Overton who created at least 5 videos on the benefits of B1 and how certain environmental factors (too much alcohol, too much carbs, radiation, stress, fasting, too much coffee etc etc could lead to the depletion of my B1 reserves. It’s funny because I completely forgot that B1 could be used as a nootropic. I remembered it used purely for neuropathy. He also mentioned that depending on the person and condition it was safe to increase my dose to close to a gram. Well you know me I said why not! Out of all the nootropic supplements that I take this dosage gave me instant relief especially with tedious tasks, disgruntled coworkers and even had the energy to hit the gym after work.I will give everyone another update in 30 days in case this was placebo. I’m curious what happens once I acclimate to this dosage and if I should cycle on and off etc. But so far this by far is the pick me that I really needed. Focus is so important to me these days and this definitely helped. Forgot to mention Dr. Berg has several videos on B1 also that put me on this path but for those that need a deeper dive I definitely recommend watching Elliot Overton also.Remember we all deserve wellness. There are endless solutions out there and each person is different so never give up. Never stop seeking!!!

  6. Excellent product. Take one twice a day for small nerve fibre neuropathy for past 4 months to aid healing and it is working.

  7. Sorry about the 1 star delivery experience rating it was actually meant be to 5 stars. This is the second time I’ve ordered this product needless to say that I’m more than happy with the results.

  8. High quality helps with my Peripheral Neuropathy recommended by Dr Berg.

  9. This will cure any sort of nerve pain in body. Cured my peripheral neuropathy in just 45 days.

  10. The pills do help a little and I take them every day so I think they’re doing some good

  11. I’ve had some pre-diabetic neuropathy in my toes for several years and my very trusted family doc said there really wasn’t much they could do about it. I am a former athlete and still stay in pretty decent shape, but I have not been able to scrunch toes down, but not raise them up, separate them, or raise up on my toes for a couple of years. Because of this, it can also be very painful to stoop down or get off the floor without support. You don’t know how much toes mean till they don’t work correctly. Online sources say about the same thing, that it can’t really be reversed. So when I heard about Benfotiamine mixed with Alpha-Lipoic Acid, I wasn’t all that hopeful. But it’s a more digestible B1 [thiamine], so no sense not trying. The results after a week are astounding. I’d say the nerve pain has been cut by at least a half and I can move my toes in any direction. I still can’t raise up on the toes, but I think that is potentially more about muscle loss and not doing it for so long than anything. So far I’m seeing daily improvements and am hopeful that it continues. As far as dosage, I started at 1 a day but increased to 2 per day, 1 in the morning and 1 at dinner. To this point I haven’t seen any side effects or stomach issues that a few others have noted. Every body is different.

  12. I’m very surprised to write that this stuff actually works. I had a DVT in my left leg, last year and it’s been a long time healing. The leg, ankle and foot were swelled up like a balloon. I could barely get around on it. Anyhow, I ended up at the ER and was given a scrip for Eliquis, in lieu of the usual “rat poison” that they give out for a DVT. The Eliquis worked on my leg and ankle and the swelling and pain went down quite a bit, over a period of months, but my foot never really followed along. The swelling subsided, but it retained a lot of pain and numbness.I saw a video on YouTube about Benfotiamine and just took a chance on it. It took maybe a week to notice any difference at all and after a month, there was a significant difference in pain and numbness in the foot. It worked! I can sleep again, without feeling shooting pain in the top of my foot and the toes and I have almost normal feeling in my whole foot. It’s way better.

  13. No side-effects so far.

  14. Dr Eric Berg did a You Tube video on Vitamin. B1. He explained that if you eat too many Carbs it depletes the B1 in your body. That is bad since B1 helps to curb your appetite and gives you so much energy and helps metabolize carbs. He recommended getting a Benfotiamine product since it has some fat in it that helps it cross the Blood Brain Barrier of our Brain to do its job as mentioned above. I’ve even lost a few pounds. I chose Doctors Best since I’m familiar with their products. This product is Great for those with a Sweet tooth that doesn’t quit. My weakness was ice cream. I could not pass it up. Now I can pass the freezer and don’t even want the ice cream. Try it you will like it too.

  15. Was hearing about them for a friend and decided to order them so far so good

  16. I decided to order this product after seeing a YouTube video that recommended this particular supplement. My reason was because I suffer from neuropathy and as well as feeling lethargic, I’m overweight and no matter how I control my diet nothing changes. The worst thing for me was the lethargy, wanting and needing to do stuff but felt just too exhausted for no apparent reason, and never getting anything accomplished.I’ve always been an active person and since I was diagnosed with neuropathy the feeling of being pathetic was just getting worse and worse. So in a leap of faith after reading some of the reviews on this particular supplement/vitamin I started taking them 10/12/2022.At first I wasn’t sure if they were doing anything for me but I realized that they needed to build up in my system to be of any effect so I continued to take them as advised on the bottle. After about a week one of the first things that I did notice was that my balance ( a symptom of neuropathy ) had improved immensely and I was no longer hanging on to counters, furniture etc. just to get around the house. As I write this it is 01/04/2023 and for the last 3 days I have started to feel like my old self. I’ve been knocking out the chores like nobody’s business and been able to get things accomplished. I know it’s early days to be celebrating my new found energy, and I will update as necessary with further changes to my health, but I am definitely seeing some positive changes to y health, another one among them being my appetite and eating habits. I am no longer craving food and snacks just for the sake of it but I have found myself being more sensible in my food choices and habits despite going through Christmas and New Year where there is always more temptations than normal. So in summary, I’m glad I took the leap of faith and also hope that my health continues to improve. I did go with the automated replenishment order as I wanted to really give it a good go and stick with it for at least 3-4 months before making a final decision but so far I feel fantastic and excited to be feeling like my old self again. Like I said, I will update this again whether I slip back into my pre Benfotiamine status or continue to improve.

  17. Vale lo que cuesta, es efectivo para mi uso

  18. It took several days before I could feel a difference but it seems to be working. The bottoms of my feet don’t burn every day like before and the days they do it’s not as bad. Color me cautiously optimistic.

  19. I have only been taking this for a couple of weeks yet have noticed a big difference in my neuropathy pain and my blood sugar levels. Now I am not sure Benfotiamine is to be given total credit for my sugar levels because I also started drinking raw apple cider vinegar each night before I go to bed, (was already drinking it every morning for years) I added the supplement NAC to my regime, and I take two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, twice a day. But my sugar numbers went from staying around 160 to around 100. I haven’t been able to get that low even after losing weight. It could be any one of those things, but my blood sugar dropped once I started taking Benfotiamine. Since something is working, I don’t want to mess with anything, so I will continue to do the things that have gotten me there.Back to the subject of neuropathy pain, some time back I added 100 mg of B2 and got some relief from the pain. While this helped take off the edge of pain, I felt I still needed more help. So I still take the B-2, along with a B complex, I think adding Benfotiamine was what I needed to bring the pain level down more. I wished I had known about this years ago. I have been through a lot of suffering due to neuropathy in my feet. It was a torturous nightly and sometimes daily pain.I hope that anyone else who is suffering from neuropathy pain will give Benfotiamine and B2 a try. It just may be what they need as well.Update: Since writing this I have had a couple of days that I thought the Benfotiamine had stopped helping my neuropathy pain, but I continue to take it because of other benefits that I seem to be getting from it. After more research, I discovered I needed to be taking B6 (P-5-P), Folate, and magnesium chelated with Benfotiamine. Well, I wanted to report that my neuropathy pain seems to have subsided some but not completely. But compared to how bad the pain had gotten, I am glad for any relief I can get.

  20. Great product

  21. No issues with delivery time, which was very good. The product is a capsule, the dosage is clear and a lot of information is available regarding the uses of this supplement.

  22. I like it. This is the second time I buy this item. Thank you very much 😊

  23. for diabetes & nerve

  24. Vitamin B1, Benfotiamine, turns into thiamine in the body. Some say it’s good for cognition, and I have noticed that I am having flashbacks of things long forgotten.

  25. Advertised as 3-pack 180 capsules, and description indicated unit count was 540, but unit count when delivered was 180. Expected 540 capsules with 180 capsules in each container but turns out there were only 60 capsules per container. Too early to determine if they’ve had any effect.

  26. useful for numbness and tingling in arm and feet . take one hour after meal or on empty stomach along with vitamin B 12 , for 3 months

  27. Doctor’s Best benfotiamine (300mg #60) was my first benfotiamine.Of the benfotiamine brands I have used, Doctor’s Best is consistent in their attention to potency and quality. I know this because I take benfotiamine for my vitamin deficiency, and when there is a change in the potency, which there has been recently in some OTHER brands who’ve been quietly cutting corners, it’s not a great experience, to put it nicely!I keep running back to Doctors Best.Thank you, Doctor’s Best, for maintaining your high standards!! 💗

  28. I took this for a couple of months. I thought it would help with blood sugar. I was shocked to find my blood pressure had gone up significantly. Additionally I started losing hair. I have stopped Benfotiamine now.

  29. I have been working on getting a better nights sleep. Drank more fluids during the day, that helped somewhat. Still had quite a bit of restless nights. Read that burning B1 deficiency can cause restless nights, but being on the carnivore diet, I’m thinking that couldn’t be it, but decided to try it anyway. Bam! First night I slept pretty much right through, the second night the same. Kept taking it and then ran out. Didn’t have time to order more, but I was starting to slip back into restless nights. I’m thinking, could it be? They came, of course Prime, so I only missed a few nights, and took two for a boost. Sure enough, got a great nights sleep! If it is the placebo effect, so be it, but I really don’t think so!

  30. My husband said they work real good
