  1. The pictures show how simple set up is. The screen and images are beautiful and stunning! (Sorry my pics are kinda blah but I have a disability that causes me to shake so this was the best I could do. Believe me they don’t do the device justice! The display is gorgeous, crystal clear and definitely HD!)Ok, so now for my review…I finally got my first Amazon Echo Show 5 with Alexa for Christmas. I am kicking myself for not getting one earlier! I have fallen in love with these devices and their many capabilities so much that I Immediately bought a dot, 2 Echo Show 5’s an Echo Show 8 and the new Echo Show 8HD plus stands! I am LOVING all the things Amazon’s Echo Shows do. If you don’t have one and you’re on the fence here is the breakdown, pros and cons:Breakdown: super SUPER easy to use. Plug in the power cord and follow the on screen steps to set up your device to your liking. There are multiple clock faces to choose from, sounds for alerts and you can pick a background or use your photos from Amazon’s photo app. (I also was new to that app and Alexa. Both were super easy to use! My pictures synced faster than any other photo cloud storing app hands down. Plus as a bonus you don’t need to pay for storage. There’s no limit and zero fees!!)Once you’ve set up the Alexa app (I recommend the Smart Life app that’s compatible with smart devices/plugs and Apple Watch!) you just ask Alexa what you need and boom, it’s done! I asked her to calm down my dog and she put on music! I am amazed. You can make shopping lists (No more searching for a pen and paper in my kitchen), Ask for recipes, play videos, surf the Internet, find out the weather, watch your photo albums, make phone calls to anyone who has the same type of device (like most of the world does by now). It’s seamless and I even had my 8 year old set one up because it was so easy. I love the parental control platform it allows for too!Pros:Super easy to set upBeautiful looking with or without the swivel baseAmazing pictureGreat compatibility with phones, smart plugs, Works perfectly with smart devices and appsBetter than FaceTime for video callsLoud speakers with excellent sound qualityAlexa, Alexa, Alexa! Alexa’s voice recognition is so much better than Siri! Siri can’t understand a thing I say (I don’t even have an accent). If I ask Siri for the weather it gives me traffic. Super frustrating. I think that’s why I was hesitant at getting one of these. Man I wish I knew how much better Alexa is! Everything I ask is instantly understood and taken care of!! Music, calls, drop ins, weather…anything! The value for the price is unbeatableEverything about this device is a Pro!!Cons:It’s constantly listening. But honestly, I don’t worry about that. I’m sure the government listens in and sees things just through WiFi, the Nelson rating TV system, Arbitron ratings in your radios, computer cameras and cellular/mobile devices. This isn’t the only thing out there and really it’s so worth it for everything you can use it for. Besides, anyone that paranoid about what they’re saying is probably on The Hunt with John Walsh. LOLThe final analysis: BUY THESE DEVICES!! Get them for each room. Enjoy the capability to make your day to day life easier and more fun! Play music, dance and sing and be silly. Display your photos, try a new recipe and make sure that your prepared for rain, snow or heat. The Echo devices are like having a personal assistant that’s holding a computer screen. So enjoy your new found “tech” if you don’t already have any and you’ll be amazed like me at what these devices can do!

  2. The M-CR612 has terrific sound. I was amazed at the dramatic sound improvement (even though I am using the same speakers). Setup was quick and simple, and the unit is very easy to use. Using HEOS with Amazon music HD sounds great, but the HEOS app is very slow and not nearly as enjoyable as using the Amazon HD app directly. Hopefully this will be better integrated in the future. Overall, I am extremely pleased.

  3. Mighty punch for the size. Small and sleek. Great functions. Easy to Bi-Amp my Klipsch Heresey 3s… and a Klipsch powered sub. Love the Bluetooth for my phone, but the CD player is great to have built in. The sound is amazing. Looking to add a turntable next.

  4. I would like to first start by saying that I am a huge Amazon fan but I’m going to try and keep this review unbiased .To start off this comes very well packaged and is pretty much just like every other Amazon device packaging not flimsy and seems to be made high quality. As for the setup, it is super simple to set up answer a few basic questions and it starts up. The screen is very clear . This product does have weight to it and has one of the best sounding sets of speakers that I have heard in a long time. This does have a software-based equalizer to adjust the low mid and high range. Controlling the device is very simple via voice or via touch, simply say your wake word and then say the command or swipe from right to left and choose a function. I am giving this five stars despite having a few negatives. First negative even though set up is flawless and this appears to be nothing more than a tablet attached to some really high quality speakers and some software you cannot add anything other than skills. Which in my opinion kind of defeats the purpose of having something as amazing as this. I would like to see the ability to utilize and customize screensavers backgrounds whatever and be able to make it my own. There are very limited options for customization. Although this is not a deal-breaker many people including myself would like the ability to select what they want on it such as placing android-based apps. In addition, although the sound is truly phenomenal I would really like to see more control of specific sounds by use of a seven band equalizer instead of just the standard three band, possibly surround sound effects as well. If you have never owned one of these devices before you will be pleased to know that these have fantastic video calling features that can sense low bandwidth and adjust the image quality accordingly I have used this on a hotspot 3g with absolutely no problem getting high def the call quality was pretty decent I did not notice any lag or video degradation while on a high-speed connection as mentioned earlier on 3g video degradation is possible.Watching movies on this is the equivalent of watching movies on a tablet however the sound quality is truly remarkable. Although the paper documentation is limited the voice controls appear to be exactly the same as the fire cube. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and it is the perfect companion to my other Amazon devices. One thing I forgot to mention was that the camera does have a physical shutter which can be manually opened and manually closed to increase your privacy. As with all echo devices this does have a button to silence the microphone and this does have a volume up and volume down. All of these settings are controlled via the software settings button which is located by swiping from the top to the bottom and from within the Alexa app.As we are in the midst of a pandemic with no hard end in sight I did wind up purchasing five of these devices for Christmas gifts. It is in my opinion one of the best most versatile devices on the market which seamlessly integrates with your prime membership. Even if you choose not to have a prime membership you can use all of the features of this device it costs nothing to operate but you do need to have some form of internet connection wirelessly..Note for people with vision problems. It is recommended by me to avoid purchasing the echo show 5 and purchase a echo show 8 or echo show 10 if you have problems with eyesight or for the elderly as it is a much bigger screen and easier to read. And again I am rating this five stars.

  5. 5 Stars. I’m very happy with this receiver and the Heos app. I haven’t had any connectivity issues streaming like i did with another brand receiver. I love that I can also control the receiver through Alexa. This is my second Marantz receiver, My first lasted 25 years.

  6. Pair with klipsch outdoor spealer, It provides quality sound in our gazeebo. I dislike the tuning in AM, because it is in tenths. Means you cannot tune in to 774. The closer i can get there is 770 or 780, whereat the signal is not anymore clear.

  7. I have owned the last two Generation Echo Shows. The Echo Show 1 & Echo Show Gen 2. The Echo Show 10 solves all the issues that the first two devices had, and adds even more features jam packed into one great device. Now before I get into the meat and potatoes — let me tell you about the truly magical experience I have had with this device. It arrived in a box almost double the size of the previous model — and this device is BIG! The screen is huge! The speaker is also apparently much more powerful than the last generation — and I can tell, that is most definitely the case. But the true magic comes when you power on and set up the Echo. The Amazon team really did wonders creating this device. Both the camera and the AI in this thing are crazy good. Assuming you have motion enabled, as soon as you say the wake word, i.e., “Alexa” the device honed in on my direction, rotated towards me, and began listening. If you walk around the room, this device follows you. You can’t understand how cool this is until you try it out. I would upload a video, but I’m sure you can look it up on YouTube, and there will likely be hundreds of reviews showcasing it here. There’s something about the tracking technology that Amazon has gotten just right. I called up my Grandma who has my old first gen echo show, and she didn’t even realize we were conversing as I was walking around my room. She thought I was just stationary the whole time. When I pointed it out and showed to her, her jaw dropped. The way the camera zooms in on you, and the range of video it can show is phenomenal. I can jump onto my bed (my echo is on my nightstand) and the echo will zoom in and focus on me. When I go off the side of my bed, it follows zooming out, and can follow my body all the way as I walk back across the room towards the device. It all feels so natural. The only thing that is missing would be if the Echo device itself moved! You can now have a conversation with someone when moving around your environment, without having to remain stationary. In a kitchen, a home gym, or anywhere you’d want to talk with someone actively, this device would be really extraordinary to play with, especially during covid times.I use my device in my room as an Alarm clock — so previously, my camera would be staring across the room as to not let me look at the screen if needed (for time/alarms, etc). Now, with the camera cover, I feel much more comfortable covering the camera and rotating the device to look towards me at night. Now, take these into consideration as you decide if you want to purchase:First, if you want to get the latest and greatest Echo device, the purchase is a no brainer. I am an Amazon loyalist, and can say that even from first impressions, this device blows all other Amazon devices I’ve owned away.Second, if you’re a user who doesn’t mind the camera being uncovered, then you’ll have no problem with this device. You’ll love it. The motion features will be left on 16/7 for me. I wouldn’t be comfortable allowing having the camera on while I’m sleeping (and staring at me), but for a public area in your home — who cares? I wouldn’t mind, I’d leave it on all day — it following you around is magical.Third, if you fall into the second issue above, you CAN use the camera cover to disable motion. If you don’t mind sliding the cover open and closed every morning/night, this could work for a nightstand alarm clock, and the hassle/inconvenience would be worth it.Pros:- Motion is magical- Camera is high definition- Sound is great. Music sounds lively. Lyrics on screen that follow you around the room- Adaptive screen dimming still works even when camera/motion is blocked/disabled- You can manually rotate the device when motion is off i.e. I’m going to bed, to point it towards me. I don’t know if that’s safe for the motor — I’ll ask Amazon!Cons:- If your room doesn’t have a full range of motion, the Echo might get confused when following you around. Since it is on my nightstand, the echo really only needs to turn about 90° to see in front if itself, and when I go to the left of my room. If I go to exit my room, it might start losing tracking, which could probably fixed in a future OS update (to halt moving at a specific point, which it already does).Bottom Line: I 100% recommend this as an upgrade to an old device or a new device for any potential Echo owners. If you don’t feel comfortable with the motion controls, turn them off, but you won’t get the full package and what I think is the biggest selling point of this device. Put this in a public room and try it out — you won’t regret it.EDIT: After seeing more reviews a few points to mention:1. White power cord. Who cares? You dock a star for this? Don’t listen to normies giving poor reviews who think the color of a power cord which is draped out of sight will have any effect on how the device improves over it’s predecessor2. Complaints over resolution: if you’re not buying this thing to watch full-fledged movies on, it’s fine. You won’t notice.3. Complaints over tracking: it won’t track you with the camera in the dark. A future models can probably have an infrared light added (similar to FaceID) to fix that problem.4. I saw someone complaining about Airplay and multiroom audio. Echo devices support multiroom audio through Amazon’s Ecosystem — not bluetooth. It has never supported that. Why would you expect this to change without notice?Don’t listen to the haters. People reviewing are acting as if this device isn’t 5x better than the last generation of the Show. Motion is a stellar addition that would bring moving smart devices into the mainstream. No one here knows what athe Facebook Portal is, because there was never a solid backing behind the product line. Echos are in homes across America, and I’m sure that this will lead to better smart devices from Amazon in the future. For reference, I have owned an: Echo Show 1, Echo Show 2, Echo Dot, and have coded ~5 Alexa Skills. I know these devices. This gen is great. Give it 1 month and these will be 5/5. These reviews all read so fake. Who purchases a device and returns it same-day due to a different colored power cord? Who returns a device that doesn’t do something they expected when it was never said the device did it?Low-information consumers and people with too high expectations… there’s a reason why it’s called PRE-ORDERING, because you KNOW you are going to like it and/or take what you get. No one forced you to buy a day 1 device.TL;DR: Don’t listen to bad reviews. Buy this if you’re in the market.

  8. I ordered this unit mainly because it came with a built-in CD player. I was thus understandably disappointed, after opening the box and unpacking this receiver, to see that the CD player did not work. The tray would open, it would accept and read a CD, give a read-out of the number of tracks and total duration, but then would not play past 3 or 4 seconds. It would act like it was getting ready to play, but just froze up and returned to the read-out you would expect to see after the CD had finished playing. Nothing at all is mentioned in the instructions regarding the operation of the CD player. I also noticed, as others have observed, that the initial set-up is exceedingly tedious in many respects. It would be nice if they gave you the option to set up blue tooth, wi-fi, Heos, etc., as a separate option, rather than having it be the very first thing that pops up when you first power up the unit. Some of us just want to play music the old fashioned way. Having read the other reviews, I was too petrified to even try the software update. My bottom line: when you are a top flight name brand like Marantz, you need to invest a lot more time and attention to quality control.

  9. This fits what I’d imagine is a great niche: a) very compact, b) all-in-one receiver + CD player, with all the streaming connections you could want – wifi, bluetooth, heos, wired; c) enough power to drive good speakers, plus a subwoofer connection. Great, right? Except: The first unit Amazon shipped me was bricked – didn’t even light up. Amazon and Marantz quickly replaced it (thanks!!). The second unit worked for about five months, then disconnected from all wireless, and then went into an endless initialization loop when I did a soft reset. I took it to a certified Marantz repair center, which found the problem is with a part that’s unavailable. Marantz is once again replacing the whole unit. My assessment: This _should_ be an ideal product for an apartment-dweller with a legacy CD collection, but both the hardware and software are too complicated and unreliable for it to be a good choice. Let’s hope that the third unit hangs in there a bit longer this time!

  10. Me ayuda en todo.

  11. Recomiendo el equipo esta muy bien

  12. Would not stay on kept turning on and off..

  13. She stopped responding

  14. I wish I could have gotten us to work properly. I could not I tried at least two months. It never worked like it was supposed to. It’s a shame because I really liked it. The main reason I bought it was to view my Wyze cameras and every time I tried to do that and launched the skill it told me that my vacuum was ready to use. I don’t have a vacuum. I was hoping that it would have been fixed in an update but it never was so I had to return it.

  15. Love this! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that the app is confusing and hard to navigate.

  16. So let’s look at the model Echo Show 10 itself. Thought it was going to be something like putting a tablet on top of an Apple Home Pod (first gen). Well….it’s not. Keep forgetting the Echo Show devices are not tablet user interface devices and the sound quality is not even close to the Home Pod, so just a tad disappointed with that. That said, I do really like the device. I don’t have a problem with the Echo UI, in fact i kinda like it better than a tablet. The sound isn’t bad, it just isn’t what I was hoping for after looking at the design and certainly the price point. The screen and camera quality are really quite good, although when I watch the home screen transition from one picture to another the transition is not super smooth, like maybe the processor is a little under-powered. Not sure about that one tho. The motion feature is nice that it moves to “look at” whoever in the room is talking to it (nice feature), the problem is you can turn the motion off, close the camera and still it’s gonna move to what ever section of the house has the brightest light. That is so annoying. I might want it to stay looking “at me” and not move around so I ask it to play something, turn any motion option OFF and it will eventually move anyway. Drives me up the wall. I think that could probably be addressed in a software OS fix, hopefully soon. Also, when you talk to it, it will move around a lot like it’s trying to figure out where you are exaclty. All in all, it isn’t a bad device for the living room, picture, sound, camera all nice, just needs the motion adjusted to “don’t move” means “don’t move” and they could probably upgrade the processor or maybe adjust the OS a little. If you need an Echo Show and you are only going to purchase one AND don’t need it to function as a hub, I’d go with the Echo Show 8 (2021). Otherwise, wait for some changes to this model. Gave it 4 stars for all nice features, but minus one big star for the motion. Does play live video feeds like ABC News really well, that’s a plus…and my favorite Sci-Fi (Expanse) looks amazing on it too. If they fix any issues I’ll update this review. Hope it helps.Review Update 9/3/2022: So I moved the Echo 10 into a different room where the lighting was more even and that stopped most of the moving around problems. Then one day it seemed to want to move again and when I was finished a screen popped up that asked if I wanted to change the direction limits. I said yes and it had a great feature I wasn’t aware of that let me set the boundaries to the smallest movement possible. With those two changes I have updated my 4 stars to 5. Problems solved and now I don’t have to constantly look at the back of the screen. Very happy, really like this product. Thinking about buying another one to replace an Echo 5. The 5 is amazing, but I’ve gotten to the point where I just want the biggest screen possible, thus the only reason to replace the 5. Good luck, hope this info helps!

  17. It works well

  18. On request, displays weather, stock market, song lyrics, recipes et al. Good kitchen timer.

  19. I really like this unit as it does a lot (a lot!) of things really well, but the sound quality of the power amplification stage is very poor. I tried it with several good quality speakers but the sound is not good, especially at medium-to-higher volumes. However it has a plethora of sources like CD, tuner, network streaming and I had quite a good time using it as a preamp to my tube power amplifier driving the actual speakers. It has a preamp output so that was perfect! The built-in DAC is quite mediocre but that is to be expected at this price point. I think it is a great unit for a teenager’s room, den, office or other area where you want a lot of flexibility with regards to sound sources and not play at higher volumes.

  20. The unit has a beautiful design and friendly setup. I paired it with the Acram PA 240. The built-in amplifier produces more power than the specified watts, and bright and dynamic sound. However, I encountered issues with a high-pitched sound at the vocals, and the app doesn’t seem to control tones effectively. Consequently, I decided to return the unit.

  21. Excelente equipo y precio
