  1. This is a shockingly terrible computer. The look and feel is extremely cheap. The thing felt incredibly flimsy, and the entire keyboard could be pushed in without much effort. Awkward feeling keyboard feel and layout too. The screen quality was awful. If you weren’t looking at the exact perfect angle, the screen would appear faded out and the color would change. It has an extremely narrow range of viewing angles. I could never adjust my eyes to the color, and photos would look simply terrible. My Chromebook has vastly superior color rendering, and the screen looks good at a wide range of viewing angles. The resolution was purported to be 1080, but the pixels seemed very large and most things appeared “blocky”. But the worst part of this computer was the performance. Unbelievably slow! Web pages would take forever to load, text would come in, and a bunch of white boxes would appear on screen until each image would load. It is not my connection either, as I ran this computer right next to my Chromebook, which had none of these loading problems. This computer was so slow that it would literally hang up while I was typing! I would start to type a sentence, and nothing would happen on screen, then a few seconds later, the words would start to show up. I closed everything but one web browser to compose an email, and I could not write simple text without the computer lagging behind. It was beyond terrible to the point I may have just gotten a lemon. But if this was not a broken machine, it’s the worst computer I have ever used. Returned it less than a week after using, I was fed up!

  2. The media could not be loaded.  Amazing price at SGD$336 including shipping during Black Friday Sales. No GST charged. Good specifications such as i3. This laptop has extra Sata and Ram slots, easy to open casing for installation of HDD/SSD and Ram upgrades. Keyboard is not lighted. Casing a bit filmsy.

I can’t yet write a review because there is no volume on the laptop and I am trying to figure out what I need to do. Could anyone help with this please? Thanks. Once that gets fixed, I should be able to provide a better review.

  4. I bought this laptop last August. It worked great for a couple of months. For the past three months it freezes while on Zoom. No matter where I am. Have tried 5 different physical settings as well as internet providers. I did buy the support agreement so going down that road, but have to send in the laptop and currently don’t have an extra one. So that will cost me productivity and money in my small business.

  7. Came with an American power cord

  8. SGD $200+ onlywhat more to ask for a laptop?Works as perfectly as any machine on more powerful CPUsI did my research, as long as the CPU is N4000 and above, it should work fineThis one has an N5000 somethingIt work absolutely fine for surfing, word, excel, pdfI am a reasonable techieIn this case, I purchased and installed an SSD (can’t remember if it was NVME or M.2) as it would run faster than the in-built emmcnothing difficult, just take out all the screws from behind and insert the SSDFor all new PC purchases, I will do a clean install of windows from a thumb drive using windows 10 image downloaded directly from microsoft. I will then create a backup image of my installation on another driveWhenver the machine gets cranky or starts to slow down, I just re-load the windows image

  9. I was so excited about purchasing this small capacity laptop for just my writing. As simply as that. Nothing more. Well… it couldn’t even handle that. I started it up and it took 10 tries for it to be able to connect to my WiFi. After it finally did, it experienced such slow hangups uploading software and loading internet pages that I was not even able to install chrome. I would type something in the browser window and the text wouldn’t start showing up until 5-6 seconds later. It would blank/freeze screen while trying to load Edge. It wouldn’t even load up the installed Word application. I tried over several hours to get this thing to just let me pull up my Drive page so I could see how it does with my typing and it was so slow that I just gave up. No computer should be this slow or be this difficult to update. It’s very cute and if it weren’t such a bad performer, I’d actually ignore that it’s made of very cheap plastic and I really had to lay on the touchpad to get it to click in a very specific spot. I’d have been okay with that since typing doesn’t really take much touchpad use unless editing and I would have been okay with it. But.. because I couldn’t even get past trying to load up a page, I was done. Not worth the hassle. Returned it next day. Please don’t bother buying this – you’re taking the risk of having to fuss around with it for hours to no avail. Someone reviewed that this was good for older folks – I don’t think it is. It’s not good for anyone. Just a horrible, outdated, lagging, cheaply made useless device. On to my search for a different laptop.

  10. This is about what I expected for the price point here, but going from my Ryzen 7 5800x and 48 gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM to this potato is frustrating in all the worst ways. It can handle at most three open tabs in Chrome reliably, I attempted to open 25 tabs and the PC crashed. It’s horrifically slow, from CPU to RAM to the WiFi card. That being said, the screen is pretty decent, I like the keyboard a lot, the touchpad is a decent size (I prefer larger touchpads) and the light weight is very handy. It’s got a numpad which is a weird must-have for me, and it doesn’t make the laptop massive to accommodate the additional space on the keyboard. The build quality seems nice so far and I appreciate the HDMI port on such a slim profile. All in all, it’s exactly what I need, even though it’s incredibly slow, I’m only using it to type out documents, check emails, and print shipping labels, so it’s doing what I need, which is the bare minimum. I wouldn’t recommend this laptop if you need to do any sort of actual work, it should be a subsidiary computer.

  11. I bought this laptop for writing and taking online classes primarily, and it’s just perfect. Keyboard is nice to use. Screen is bright and crisp. Laptop is lightweight. This is NOT a laptop for gaming, video editing, demanding graphics work, and you’re probably going to get frustrated if you are a busy, multi-tasker with multiple software and dozens of browser tabs open at the same time. That being said, for basic computing needs (word processing, watching Netflix, web browsing, blogging, writing a novel, taking classes, etc…), this laptop is near perfect and budget-friendly.Couple Notes: – The processor is 1.1 ghz, not 2.8 as listed in description, but really, you wouldn’t be doing anything on this that should ever require that much processor speed. – Memory is upgradeable, which is nice, but I’ve found that 4gb is fine for what I’m using it for right now. – Laptop looks stylish, but lacks that “high-end” feel – but it’s a $200 laptop. Still, I like it and keyboard feels good for typing at length. – Screen is sharp. Colors are decent. Not the best screen out there, of course, but certainly not bad at all. Not a touch screen…slight bummer but not a big deal to me. – Sound coming from speakers is nice and loud. No, not premium sound, but sufficient to watch movies/video classes and hear it just fine. I’m happy with it, but no audiophile. Use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker if you want better sound. – Performance has been fast and I’ve been satisfied. – Easy to switch from Windows S to full Windows Home, which is my preference and why I opted for this over a Chromebook. – 81gb of available storage space after OS and apps take up a bit of the 128 gb drive. To me, that’s totally fine since I’m not saving anything on this – it all goes in the cloud. – I don’t think the battery will actually last 9 hours with normal settings, but I get a solid 5 or so hours out of it between charges.RE: Slowness/Lagginess:A couple negative reviews mentioned this and when it happened to me, I thought that maybe there WAS something off about this computer.Turns out when I logged into my Microsoft account, it started syncing my existing desktop computer with this laptop, and with only 4gb of memory and slower processor, it just bogged it right down for about 20 minutes or so as it synced apps, desktop icons, etc…. Once everything synced up, it was fine and has been ever since. So if you experience slow, laggy performance when you first get this, and you’ve logged into your Microsoft account, set it down and let it sync for 20 minutes or so, or better yet, adjust the sync settings to be more selective. All in all, it’s a great, inexpensive laptop that is super lightweight, super portable, looks nice, performs great, and is perfect for basic computing, an older child/teen, college courses, etc…

I am a Chromebook lover. Guilty as charged. Those machines are lightening fast, easy to connect, and never fail. The only real difference in the price points is due to screen size, battery, and touch screen capability. Why did I write about Chromebooks? Because they’re everywhere that this machine isn’t. The sole reason why I bought this is because most professors are dinosaurs and refuse to accept Google docs/sheets for assignments, so I needed something relatively cheap with MS Office. That was my only criterion. Well, it does have Office and it was fairly inexpensive. However, once I’m done with my classes, I plan to smash it à l’Office Space. It takes roughly 10 mins to connect, which would be annoying enough, but then you have to fight it to do anything at all. Bear in mind, once again, I am not playing games on this or watching films. Just trying to perform basic functions feels like pulling teeth. At this point, I complete all of my papers on my Chromebook via Google docs, then boot this slug up and just download my Google doc as a Word doc. That is literally the only thing it’s good for.Save your money and either spend a bit more for something that actually works, or use your friend’s desktop to transfer documents. This is utter rubbish.

  13. i see so many reviews saying it’s so slow and it sucks, it’s truly a great laptop considering the price point. i wasn’t expecting a super fast top of the line laptop BUT it has been preforming just fine, the battery compacity is good considering how small and light weight this laptop is, and has no issues loading up many things. i haven’t had any issues streaming content and it hasn’t frozen, there’s been a few things that took a short moment to load but it really isn’t as terrible as these reviews make it out to be! i would reccomend this for laptop for someone who needs a laptop for school/collage/classes and is on a budget!

I was ready to write an extremely negative post about this laptop because it would freeze up and become non responsive every time i tried to use it. After a month of trying various things that did not work, i finally disabled Microsoft edge and installed Google chrome as the web browser. Instantly everything is quick and responsive, no more lag. Apparently Microsoft loads everything they own onto these laptops forcing you to use it. Just remember, you can use aps and programs that are much better.

  16. I recently purchased this laptop and upon opening it started up and updated on its own perfectly fine how a new laptop should. After you get to the homescreen, it was completely unusable!! Extremely slow to the point you couldn’t open any app or browser at all. Completely unacceptable for a new laptop on the market. I was ready to return and purchase another. Before I shut it down got it ready to be returned, I took some advice from the forums and deleted any and all Microsoft related programs. Microsoft teams, edge, anything that comes pre-programmed from Microsoft. I’m currently using Google Chrome as my default browser and not touching Microsoft edge at all. This will save your laptop and now it is running smooth like a laptop should. Completely fixed all performance and speed issues.Anyone who buys this laptop needs to ununstall all Microsoft programs off of the laptop because that is what is causing it to be extremely slow! Otherwise, you will have a nice smooth, easy to use laptop!

  17. Was as described. It is by far the best laptop fast loading. The delivery was a day earlier than expected. Thanks

  18. Very poor quality. Shuts down often. Don’t buy one of the worst Laptops I’ve ever bought.

  19. I received this laptop last week and after it downloaded a lof of my files with personal information on it, it completely froze. It turns on and off only and the keyboard is totally not responsive. Amazon sent me a replacement laptop and I’ve been futzing with it for hours. It is beyond slow. I read reviews about deleting Microsoft apps and software, but I’ll just return them BOTH instead. I’d give a ZERO star rating if I could.

  20. Excelente producto

  21. works good for the money

  22. It’s very slow, even if you uninstall everything on it, it will still say storage full, making it hard to get any type of schoolwork done but it keeps closing things out, and after 3 months of having , it finally shut down , it won’t even let me do a full reset on the computer to get it back working

  23. After looking at other reviews I decided to buy two of this model for my wife and I. After taking the advice from other reviews regarding turning off un needed windows apps on start up, this laptop is great! It is lightweight fast and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time AND it has a number pad which is a plus for me!. This laptop is a great deal for the price if all you need is a general use machine for searches, email, school or general work. I would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase, you won’t be dissapointed!

  24. Unit performs as expected but disliked the requirement for lengthy on line process to enable built in programs .

  26. I needed a tablet with a large screen. I did not want a dedicated tablet as they require a keyboard and stand for any real work. Instead of spending $1400 on a large fruit tablet I found this for $400. It comes with all the basics, a vibrant screen with 14” of area. 8GB of RAM 128GB NVME SSD and an Intel 8 core processor with UHD graphics. What I love about the Aspire Spin 3 is the build quality. The keyboard has good feedback. The trackpad is usable! The built in speakers are okay in a pinch but there is Bluetooth to hook up a wireless speaker for presentations or a headset. I ended up uninstalling some bloateare but it was minimal. There are two full sized USB-A high speed ports for memory sticks, hard drives or whatever you want to use. There is also a Dual mode USB-C port that can output video, charge the battery, or transfer data. The HDMI port is 2.1. The WiFi is the AX101 from Intel and it does a fantastic job with my WiFi 6 router. I thought the RAM capacity would be limiting but with the ultra fast NVME SSD I have not run into any issues. It plays 4K YouTube videos flawlessly. As first there was some backlight bleed but after handling the device for a few test scenarios it has gone away. It does not get super bright so outside direct sun should be avoided unless you invest in an anti glare screen coating. Windows 11 came in S mode and it was easy to disable in the Microsoft Store. Now I can install apps from the internet like Firefox , Chrome and whatever I need like my hardware monitoring tools. This is a steal and fantastic value for the money. Next step is to install Steam and Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

  27. This laptop is a good value if you just want a decent machine to run Chrome.Pros- Decent quality webcam for video chat, zoom also worked well.- Good screen, and touch screen- Reasonably fast.Cons (all of which are fine at this price point)- The screen is not perfect, there was some light bleeding around the edges, but I am fine with that at this price point.- does not charge via USB C- Slowish to start up- Its plastic so it does not feel as nice as the Lenovo I am replacing this with, however its also half the price.

  28. No instructions are included with the product!? I know, we are in the digital age.Set up a bit slow at times, system froze when trying to Register with Microsoft. Reminder of the black screens – except that it just stood there frozen. After 3 On & Offs it allowed me to complete my gift to my daughter.Delivered as promised. Packing & Instructions according to price!

  29. The good: very affordable, simple to set up. Came with free mcaffee and windows 365. ( I bought subscriptions and cancelled them not knowing I needed them)The bad: stiff keys and a touchpad that is very slow to respond. It does what I need, I pay bills and keep track of everything with it. I definitely miss my PowerBook. It’s a lot slower than my old laptop.

  30. I needed a new PC for storage of Photos , videos from our phones . I was surprised to see how fast it is . Very nice layout of windows + several windows opened and still runs like a top . !!! >>>———->

  31. My son is very much enjouing his new laptop. He uses it for research, haming, and school work.

  32. I’m impressed with this laptop so far. The image is not the best, but I knew that from the specs. Response time is good and it boots up quickly. The battery does not last for a long time, but I will most likely use it where I can plug it in anyway. The build quality is excellent, so I don’t expect to have problems with this device before it becomes outdated. My previous laptop’s hinges broke after 2 years with light use. The design on the hinges of this Acer Spin 14 appears to be much sturdier. I really like the fact that I can use it as a tablet or a normal laptop. The included case (sleave) is nice, but I probably will use my bag instead. As always, I will update this review if there is something worth reporting, good or bad.

  33. No complaints for what it cost!

  34. Bought as a gift for my uncle he love it value for your money works great and clean sleek look

  35. I bought this lap top for international travel. It is low cost solution for me and will get beat up with enough travel. This was my solution to obtain a low cost lap top for this kind of travel. One issue is the lack of keyboard lighting. A little deal I know. In low light (which this will be used in) it is difficult to see the keys. Another issue is 10 key on the far right serves other functions like the HOME and END keys. The operator has to shift to operate those keys to get the HOME, END and a couple of other functions. The transaction was very good. Well packed and well shipped. Came early.Initial start up seemed to be less than fully intuitive, and with enough time got to understand features.Would I do it again? Likely because of cost and purpose. For other purposes maybe not.

  36. Perfect size exactly as described and what I was looking for! Great price! Extremely FAST shipping – arrived several days before expected date THANK YOU!!!

  37. I bought this computer as a travel computer to use for work and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. The computer runs fast and I am able to use all of my work software with no issue. I did think the storage would be an issue since it’s so slow at 4gb but everything has been working great. Only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a way to cover the camera, my other laptop had a slider that I could move to cover the camera lense
