  1. I generally control weeds with spot treatments which I spray on with a two gallon battery powered sprayer. But this year, I had an aggressive outbreak of both grassy and broad leaf weeds in the spring. I was able to control the grassy weeds with Tenacity and Atrazine but the broad leaf weeds were so pervasive that I considered buying a large 6 gallon sprayer on a cart to make it easier on me. I notice that there are few products these days which are dry and only for weeds. I had already done a weed and feed with broad leaf weed control and preemergent, and Centipede does not like being over fertilized. So I decided to give this a shot.I put it on the entire yard and watched for two or three weeks. I had purposely not cut the grass so I could better see the weeds so it was easy to watch for results. After about three weeks the weeds looks only slightly worse for wear and I feared I might have wasted my money. I went ahead and started cutting the grass each week thereafter. After about three more weeks I noticed that the weeds were getting harder to see. And within a few more weeks they were completely gone. I did do a second treatment where the Centipede had been thinned during the winter but only a sectional basis, not really spot treatment, just sections that seemed to need more help. So after about a total of 6-8 weeks, I now basically have no weeds and after I started cutting the lawn, the weeds never “stood up” again. Spreading with a hand held rotary spreader is so much easier than any other style of application that I think this is how I’ll handle the yard in the future.

  2. I’ve tried the yearly applications of dandelion killer(s) for 30 years on my front lawn. Normally, the dandelions die in a day or two, and you end up with dead spots all over the yard. After the dandelions dies off, another one will sprout in the same location. Also note, I always purchased the no-name, cheap weed killer. (I’m a slow learner). After applying the Scott’s brand, it seemed to take a long time to kill the dandelions, like 30 days. There had been a long dry spell and there was only dew in the mornings to wet the product. Today, there are no dandelions, nor the dead spots where they had been. 60 days later and all is well…. no returning weeds. Good stuff!

  3. For the past several years my lawn has developed a summertime fungus. It is almost like clockwork around late-June when I noticed small patches of white fluff, almost like cobwebs, in the morning on the dew covered lawn. These spots quickly turned white and then died, and this spread rapidly around the yard creating small circular dead spots that would often merge together. It was hideous, especially for someone with lawn OCD. I haven’t officially identified the fungus but have narrowed it down the likely culprits to dollar spot or brown patch. So here comes the remedy…This BioAdvanced spray works wonders and stops the growth and spread of this fungus, when caught early enough in the process. It seems to work more quickly and effectively than the Scotts DiseaseEx that I tried in other areas of the lawn. However you will blow through this bottle very quickly and there is no way this will cover the 5,000 square feet as advertised. I probably had my bottle emptied within two minutes and maybe covered 1,000 square feet. You definitely want to be prepared to hustle and have your hose spread out in advance to maximize your application. You will probably need three bottles of this for an average size lawn. That didn’t bother me based on the fact this product worked and saved me from the cost and trouble of reseeding dead patches of grass. Five stars for a product that works!

  4. This stopped brown patch dead in my tall fescue. Clear results after 1 week. The issue I have is not the chemical effectiveness. The problem is the bottle control. For someone who is experienced using these tab and twist controls, it is still very hard to turn on and off which limits our ability to spray accurately. I sprayed the entire 32oz bottle in about 4 minutes on approx 1500 Sq ft. You have to rush with this bottle and that is not good. Great results but a really terrible sprayer.

The media could not be loaded.  Like other users have stated, it absolutely works but unless you are smart enough to put it down very early for preventative, it takes multiple applications. Also, be aware, if you use the liquid product (which I personally believe works better than the granules) you have to turn your water pressure on the hose on LOW. Otherwise, the full hose pressure will use up the product so fast, it will never even cover 1,000 sq feet. The best advice I can give is apply generously- as in, at least 2-3 times the amount of product suggested- don’t be scared of over applying – unlike a fertilizer- you can’t really overdo- Unless the outdoor temperatures have already reached 85 then it’s too late in the season for the liquid product.Like others report, the past several years my lawn has developed a summertime fungus. Every June I noticed small patches of white fluff, almost like cobwebs, in the morning on the dew covered lawn. These spots quickly spread rapidly around the yard creating small circular dead spots that would often merge together. Then eventually huge yellow and brown splotches! It isn’t just my lawn, everyone in the neighborhood has the same issue here in the north east. The past couple of years I started putting down the granules in May. I’m not sure if I’m not using enough or if they just aren’t working because even though I put the granules PRIOR to the first signs of disease, inevitably, I still get the disease. This BioAdvanced spray works wonders and stops the growth and spread of this fungus! I’ve used this for the past few years AFTER the fungus started – though the rating of 1 bottle per 5,000 sq feet isn’t even close to what you need. I use 2 bottles per 5,000 sq ft, which is 4 bottles for my entire back yard. Even then, I need to apply it twice, 14 days apart for it to clear up the fungus. Also, I agree that it works more effectively than the Scotts DiseaseEx. However, as other’s state, you will blow through this bottle very quickly and there is no way this will cover the 5,000 square feet as advertised. It is important to turn the water pressure on the hose down LOW, just to get the bottle to reach 2,500 sq feet. You definitely want to be prepared to hustle and have your hose spread out in advance to maximize your application. I don’t mind spending the money if the product works and it definitely does — again with multiple applications (using both granules and liquid.) The video is an image of the fungus before treating multiple times, the photo is after.

  6. Lawn fungus is hard to control. Ive tried several products with limited success, but this one is by far the best. It rivals professionally-applied pructs, and at about 1/10 the price. If you look at ingredients, Scotts uses a different chemical than the other commercial brands. Id give it 5 stars, but, like all the others it is not perfect, but irs better. You need to start applying early (when night time lows get up to 60 degrees’ and repeat every 3 weeks to prevent infection. If you are not diligent and let the fungus start, it will do a lot of damage before you can stop it.

  7. I had one bag (5K sq. ft.) but I’m afraid I only had enough for a portion of my front yard so I selectively spread it. I followed the spreading instructions using the handheld Scott’s Whizz therefore I gave 1-Star for value. Scott’s advertising 5,000 sq. ft. is bogus at best, it wasn’t even close. 4 bags may get the job done. I previously spread two bags in my back & side yards and barely made it.However, the results proved to be very good. After plenty of very dry weather we finally got some rain and the treated lawn is coming back, the brown spots, some severe, are filling in nicely. The lawn is a Kentucky Bluegrass & Tall Fescue blend. The front yard, which I also watered but went untreated, is not coming back as fast even with some heavy rain. This product is moderately priced but when you consider the spreading distance I discussed above it rises exponentially. However, the results are in, the treatment has allowed the lawn to recover.

  8. Applied the max rate in two applications 4 weeks apart- 7 weeks on no effect. Wasted money.

  9. Helps get rid of grubs to keep the armadillos away from tearing up my lawn… so hopefully I won’t get an HOA letter about all the damage.

  10. If it works it takes damn long time to effect weeds, Also unfortunate does not work on crab grass! That is my most hated and common weed. it goes effect spurge which is another common weed here in ID I detest.

  11. I recently used Scotts DiseaseEx Lawn Fungicide to combat a persistent lawn disease issue, and I’m thrilled with the results this product delivered. With a lawn covering around 5,000 square feet, this 10-pound bag was the perfect size for treating my entire yard. One of the standout features of Scotts DiseaseEx is its effectiveness in both preventing and controlling lawn diseases. It not only addresses existing problems but also creates a protective barrier that lasts for up to four weeks. This means my lawn remains healthy and disease-free for an extended period, giving me peace of mind. The application of this fungicide was straightforward. The granules are easy to spread, and the included instructions are clear and easy to follow. I used a broadcast spreader to ensure even coverage, and within a short time, I noticed a significant improvement in the health and appearance of my grass. What’s impressive about this product is its versatility. It’s suitable for a variety of lawn diseases, including common issues like brown patch, dollar spot, and more. I appreciate that it provides a broad-spectrum solution to keep my lawn looking its best.Another advantage is the longevity of protection. Knowing that I won’t have to reapply the fungicide frequently is a time and money saver in the long run.In summary, Scotts DiseaseEx Lawn Fungicide is a reliable and effective solution for maintaining a healthy lawn. It controls and prevents various lawn diseases, offers long-lasting protection, and is easy to apply. If you’re dealing with lawn fungus issues, I highly recommend giving this product a try. It has rejuvenated my lawn and kept it looking lush and disease-free.

  12. I applied BioAdvanced Season Long Grub Control and it starting working within hours! The damage stopped spreading and my lawn greened up within 48 hours. I wish I could say the same for BioAdvanced’s 24 Hour Grub Control product. It didn’t work at all. Waste of money.

  13. I got this only to help kill mushrooms. I’ve googled the hell out of it on how to stop mushrooms growing in my yard. My grass don’t seem to have any diseases except probably because of rain and too much good nutrient. It’s just been growing mushrooms everyday. Certain section of my grass just keeps growing and then and this is the first time this happened. I’m pretty sure due to lots of rain this year and watering three times a week. I’m in California so it’s pretty hot but more rain this year than any other times. I have St Augustine and it’s very green and thick. I pick the mushrooms everyday because I don’t like the look of it. Yes I know it’s nutrient to the soil but I just don’t want it and it has enough good organic nutrients. So I tried this out and it does work but it takes a while AND it doesn’t remove all the mushrooms but it does remove a good portion of it from growing back. Have to sprinkle this more than once. I still see some pop up and I would remove them and spot treatment with it. I pull the mushroom out and sprinkle some in the hole and around it. So for just the mushroom concerns, this does not remove ALL the mushroom and some do still come back. I then tried using fast release fertilizer so it breaks down to the soil and takes the nutrient faster than the mushroom. Any quick release fertilizer will work but just have to be careful the amount.

  14. Would not bother to purchase again as we did not notice an improvement after applying product

  15. It is expensive. It clogs my spreader due to its consistency. I will rereview when I see it working.

  16. Not to bad. Gets most insects

  17. So the weeds grow wild in my yard. I have a friend who had some leftover Scott’s weed killer, they said they would bring what they had left to the house. when they arrived, we laid it out, and then I lightly watered the areas in which we spread it. It seemed to work pretty quick, and the effects lasted quite a while. So because the weeds are back and going crazy, I decided to pick up some more on Amazon along with a spreader. i’m hoping this will do the trick just like before, if not, I’ll come back and update.

it works. ok so long as there is a hose available for the whole area that needs it.

  19. Used as the directions stated and it cleared all the fungus in my grass.

  20. I applied this twice has alot of mushrooms due to alot of rain. They were completely gone but you do have to mow the lawn often and spray it pretty good.

  21. This did not kill off anything in my yard and just paid for mole removal service. Solved in a week

This product works! I wish the volume was larger for the purchase price. Works well when I spray every two weeks outside the home and once ever 3 months inside the home.

  23. When used as directed, keeps grubs out of lawn all season. Grass grows again, including bald spots.

  24. This product is awesome definitely worth the price because it works 100% it is a bit costly but there is no regret I had grub worm problem for a few years and tried many different products with out any success but after using this product for the first time I saw huge improvement I am not taking any chances I will always have this product incase an issue pops up in the future.

  25. works well

  26. Used for lawn care. Very good product.

  27. A good portion of this product was lost due to a cut in the bag. It didn’t cover near the whole of my yard however I’m hopeful that the product will work well.

  28. I had yellow patches everywhere when my bermuda and St Augustine lawn reemerged this year. I noticed it last year at the end of the summer. I had treated it for crabgrass and fertilized it in the fall season thinking the yellow patches where due to a lack of nutrients. I was very confused when they came back worse in February, until I decided to did down about 4 inches into my soil and found grubs everywhere. I did some research and found that I needed something to kill the bugs immediately and I did not have time to wait or my lawn would be gone. I applied this right before a forecasted rain so it could soak down deep and within 3 days my lawn was greener, within a week it was fuller, and now a month later “it is the best looking lawn on the block” according to my neighbor.

  29. Bags are bigger than I thought, I’m very pleased. I use this product in my front & back yard. Neighbor has ticks when their lawn guys cut their dead grass. They spray for bugs, bugs run to my yards My front & back yard is huge. These bags are perfect I ordered 4 wasn’t sure size of bags. This would be perfect my miniature poodles will be able to enjoy their yard again. Just in time also we have 3 week old fur babies. They’ll be outside potty training soon. This product last 6 months it’s perfect guys. With price of pest control every month. Their spray don’t work after it rains. Once it’s done raining this weekend gonna lay it all out in my yard. I love Amazon saves me a trip to store being disabled & all. Delivery guys are awesome! Thanks Amazon workers for your hard work. I appreciate ya’ll blessings to all

  30. I applied to the areas in need. The first application did nothing. The second application did nothing. Third times the charm right? NOPE this product did absolutely nothing. Waste of money.

  31. I recommend this product! Recently myself and neighbors have noticed worms coming on driveway and patio areas. I didn’t know what to try. I saw a few reviews with great results. I am now one of those customers. Immediately seemingly like in just a couple to days worms be gone! This product is working so well. I am extremely please with the results!!!! I am so glad I tried it!!!

  32. It’s made our grass so green people think we’ve fertilized an we haven’t yet

  33. Our sod was taken over by weeds. We were looking into a lawn service or even re-sodding certain areas. We thought the grass in those areas was gone. It took over a week for this stuff to kick in, but it worked perfectly. We are very happy with the results. Even those areas where we thought we would have to re-sod have thick grass growing. We will use this whenever needed from for on.

  34. Was having a horrible problem with fleas on and under my patio deck. Initially tried a liquid that attached to my water hose, but still had reduced flea issues. Tried these granules that got rid of the fleas. Scattered the granules heavily on my deck, and used a push broom to get it between deck planks. Then hosed down my deck to activate the bug killer. Scattered on my lawn right before it rained to help lawn areas.

  35. Used this with the white bottle of liquid and let me tell you it worked a good 3 months as stated all 5 of my dogs were covered in fleas i gave them a bath with the Adam’s shampoo and used this and the liquid spray around the yard in garage and sprayed there kennels and bush’s down and didn’t have any till now gonna re do it all tomorrow for me this worked great tho costed around 40 or so compared to buy each dog a fle pill that’s like 40/60 each and this I seem to be able to used 3x witch will be 9months and that pill only works for 3 maybe 6 months I forgot witch it is so yeah this is a lil more work maybe 20 min more haha but works great if your not lazy….

  36. This is much less expensive buying from Amazon than it is from Home Depot.

  37. We spread this over a test area and the grass was definitely greener than the untreated grass, but it didn’t get rid of that many weeds.

  38. 3rd year using this and very happy with results. Works as posted.

  39. I put this down just before the last rain here about a week ago and it looks like it worked. I don’t see any new mole tunnels in my yard! 😊
