Super recomendable!

  3. Pros…I travel quite a lot and was looking for a simple, lightweight chromebook to check email, browse the internet and watch movies on, on the go. This works GREAT for that and I like that the battery life is good enough that I don’t need to bring my cord on a one-day trip. The cons….. As others has mentioned, if you are not at the right angle, the screen will be black while you are watching something. That’s easy to remedy when sitting, watching a movie alone; but it was very annoying while doing a fitness class via Zoom or watching something with another person. Also Zoom related, I found the camera to be pretty poor, especially in lower light. Final con is that it keeps giving me a message that I have ejected the SD card when I have not.

  4. I’m very satisfied with the quality for the price. My black Friday pick was sold out but I’ve been very happy I chose this. No touchscreen but a good quality keyboard and touchpad make up for it. One little quirk: Google assistant only works when plugged in. That’s weird and the only downside I’ve found.Great quality on my telehealth visits. Video and camera quality were good and smooth. Sound surprising since there are no visible speakers. Construction quality seems substantial. just what I expected from Samsung. Lightweight, sturdy, battery life of 10+ hours makes this unit fine for me so far. My first Chromebook and I was skeptical of them, but so far, for me, the usefulness. performance and speed for the price makes a great value. Can’t find anything to complain about. 5 star happy after 6 months of daily use and I don’t give 5 stars lightly.

  5. I’m split on this device. On one hand it doesn’t have a great screen, it’s memory and storage limited, the processor isn’t very powerful, and it only has a single standard USB port. On the other hand it is compact, has decent battery life, an alright build quality for a cheap device, has an SD card slot, and does an passable job when it comes to writing, spreadsheets, surfing the web, watching videos, and even light gaming.Chrome OS, on the other hand, seems to struggle with most things. It lacks some of the basic functionality you expect of a modern OS and can be anti-intuitive to use. It has stability issues with apps, especially ones that compete with Google’s own (such as Firefox).Thankfully you can install a basic Linux build for things like Libre Office, but many programs installed that way also seem to have stability issues (like VLC Media Player). The built in media player works but has a terrible interface and limited control, and only the terrible mobile versions of other media players seem to work right. The device has speakers, but they aren’t very loud and seem crackly — thankfully a headphone jack is included. It has no touchscreen and the trackpad is possibly the worst I’ve ever used, to the point of being frustrating and/or not working the way I want it to — partly because of the OS, itself, and partly because it doesn’t have any buttons or anything available to assist its functionality. A mouse is necessary for comfortable use.The keyboard is alright, comfortable to type on.Honestly, though, if I had the choice to go back and purchase something else I probably would. I’m not sure Google’s operating system is for me — you can’t even use the desktop to place shortcuts or folders! I would just get a regular laptop and install Linux Mint on it. Doing so would result in an experience that is far more intuitive, stable, and with the benefit of having access to the functionality of a full fledged OS (and all the programs available for it).At the same time, this will do for most the things I bought it for, just less than expected in some respects.Buy if you want something super basic to write on, look stuff up on, and to keep records. Anything more than that and you should definitely go for something else.

  6. I got this laptop because mine broke and I needed one asap for work until I can get a better one. This one looked cute the specs are pretty basic, but good for what I need it for. I turned it on, and as usual with new laptops they need updates so that what I was doing with this one, but that’s when the issues started. I’m not sure if I got a bad one but when I tried installing the windows 11 update, it froze and was stuck on 0%, from there the laptop continuously went black and turned back on. Multiple times, update still at 0%. I had to shut it off and turn it back on which I know your not supposed to do during an update but the laptop froze. Fortunately I got it back on the other updates downloaded, however windows 11 did not, and it’s advertised as having windows 11. I’m not too sure on what to do because the update is still stuck on 0%. I’ll update if I manage to fix it or it starts updating.

  7. UPDATE: November 8, 2023It lasted just over a year. So if you don’t mind a disposable cheap ultra-basic laptop you have to replace every 12 months, go for it! It’s in my trash basket as I write this, however. Treated it perfectly, no spills, no falls, no damage whatsoever. Never overused its low-end hardware, either. Fails to even boot up now. Got some work done on it, true, but it will die on you in a year or less.———I’ve had several technology fails this year, including my gaming laptop and my Linux laptop breaking down. My budget is not what it was when I bought the gaming laptop, and the other one was a hand-me-down from a relative. So, I needed a cheap laptop to do basic typing and web browsing on until I can afford something to game on. Finding a non-Chromebook under $300 is tough these days, so I took a chance on this model. This laptop is good for very basic functionality. It’s small, lightweight, and runs quickly enough (granted you buy a separate hard drive and don’t overload its very small memory). I have the feeling that it would run better with an older OS: Windows 11 is not only awful on its own, it’s terribly bloated for a small-memory machine like this one. I won’t go into all the reasons why I hate W11 here, that would be a whole other review. I would recommend installing another OS on it if you have the know-how to do so. I may eventually install a Linux OS on it if performance ever decreases. So far, it’s quick enough for me. Don’t expect lightning-fast loading, though. Another tip: look up ways to unload extra programs to free up space and don’t have any programs run on start/continuously in the background if you can help it (OneDrive really bogs the system down). The screen quality is middling but it displays videos crisply enough. I wish it would dim a little more, since I often type in low-lighting. This leads me to my biggest complaint: NO KEYBOARD BACKLIGHT. I suspected it wouldn’t have one since it wasn’t mentioned in the product description, but since it’s such an important feature, I’m mentioning it in all-caps here. I use a low-wattage lamp to type by and I can see the keys (the white keyboard helps with this), not to mention I can type without looking at the keyboard often, but be warned about this! I know a keyboard backlight is a must-have for anyone that may need to type in extremely low/no-lighting situations.I’ll also mention that this is not a touchscreen laptop. I never use touchscreen laptops, but I know some buyers may expect this feature. The touchpad mouse has no buttons and can be a bit wonky; I highly recommend buying a separate mouse.I tried to run Steam and some games on this machine out of curiosity. Don’t do that. Even pixel art games with low-demand graphics will skip, sometimes freeze, and put too much demand on the system. I haven’t tried streaming video from this machine to my TV yet. This is not a media or gaming laptop, though. You can stream any service on its native screen (YouTube, etc) easily, play music streaming or old school mp3s (you’ll need a separate drive for CDs/DVDs), but I wouldn’t push it beyond that.In conclusion, it’s what I expected for the price. I wish it had an older version of Windows and a keyboard backlight, but neither is necessary for my needs. I use it for listening to music while typing and sometimes streaming YouTube, it works fine for those things. I’ve un-bloated the system as much as possible and done some tweaks to get it to run as fast as it can, but not every buyer may know how to do this and especially running OneDrive all the time can bog the system down considerably. It definitely needs a separate flash or hard drive to extend its memory. I will update this review in the future if any issues arise.

  8. This laptop is basically the size I’ve been looking for!Remember when netbooks became all the rage? I do and I had a few of them due to the size and how quick they moved, but over time those laptops became useless. Then we got chromebooks, which was a good replacement, but the operating system was too limited. Now we have this Asus light mini laptop, its literally ALMOST perfect. Why is it not perfect? WELL, the internal drive is only 64GB and after its Win11 install, you can basically wave half that away, leaving you with not a lot of room.So I popped this open after reading there is an SSD upgrade slot and some folks claimed it wasn’t there in the 2022 model.Mine had it, so either there is two different models for 2022, or people are not looking in the correct spot. BUT it was the first thing I did, even before powering it on, was check. Because no slot, it would have been an instant return for me.Drive/upgrade:I used the SSD slot to insert a 1TB drive, in which I in reinstalled win11 into, and then changed the boot order, formatting the internal drive, leaving me with 1TB working drive with a 64GB back drive.Battery life:I used mine for a few hours unplugged and then placed it in sleep mode when going to bed. I went to bed and it said 82% was left. I woke up after a good nights sleep, checked the laptop and it was at 69% percent. So roughly in 10 hours, it lost 13%. I really don’t see that as an issue and based on my experiences windows laptops can’t sit in standby or sleep mode for days at a time like an Apple Macbook, which you can leave unplugged for days and only lose a little percentage of battery.Performance:- I installed Opera (not GX) as I wanted the lightest browser I could find, but with some features, Opera won that. It ran smoothly and even gave me a VPN option on the browser. Had no issues surfing, while doing research for various things.- Youtube ran smoothly, the sound was good and loud for a such a little laptop.- Installed Obsidian Notes (ON), because I use it organize projects I am doing, taking notes for classes or whatever. I did notice a little stammering with ON here and there, but it wasn’t a big deal or a deal breaker for me.- Installed GOG (Good old Games) which is a site for older video games of the past and played a few older ’90s and ’80s games with no noticeable issue.- I did notice with many tabs open in Opera or various programs open the laptop, it did slow down and did struggle a little.Overall:Good laptop for someone on the go who likes to surf the web, play light video games or possibly likes to run tabletop RPG games, because its perfect to keep notes in and bring it to your gaming table for a night of gaming.IF IT HAD NOT HAD THE UPGRADE SLOT, its a deal breaker.

  10. This is a great mini laptop if you intend to use it for light-duty applications such as email, social media, internet browsing, internet shopping, Microsoft Word and Excel (Office 365), etc. It is not intended for heavy-duty applications such as gaming (good gaming laptops are $1,000+, not $150 to $200). The laptop does not have the processor speed, graphics card, memory or storage to handle high-demand applications. If you purchase the laptop for what it is intended for, your experience will be much better. The laptop is about as small as you would want if you are a touch typist and prefer a normal size keyboard. The keyboard provides good key travel and feedback and the touch pad can be used as a numeric key pad (a major plus for many users). As some of noted in their reviews, the keyboard is not lighted. However, the display normally provides enough light to use the laptop in the dark. Also, given the laptop’s battery size, you would not really want the additional power draw on the battery. The battery will provide a good 10 to 20 hours of usage depending on what you are doing on the laptop. That said, when the laptop is shutdown, the battery does drain by approximately 20% each day. After several days of not using the laptop, you will need to plug it in to turn it on. This power consumption when shutdown is not so much a battery issue as an operating system setting. The laptop operates on Windows 11 S (intended for Microsoft approved applications) and it is specifically designed for quick startup. The startup time is similar to that of a Chrome Book. If you recall the small netbooks that preceded Chrome Books–this small laptop is a much better and much more capable netbook. For my purposes, I will gladly give up the additional battery life for the ability to quickly startup the laptop. The laptop has a great display. It is not a touch screen for those who want that feature. However, the display was clear, detailed and bright when watching highlights of the World Cup soccer games and when surfing the internet. The size and price of the laptop are very appealing–just make sure that you truly consider what you will be using it for.

  11. No la recomiendo yo pagué por un producto nuevo no usado o reacondicionado a la hora de prenderla ya tiene nombre de usuario y me pide un pin que obviamente no lo tengo yo no sé quién es José Aguilera.

  12. This Chromebook is perfect for those who want to do simple things online. It’s great for shopping, emails, zoom, etc. However, this is not for such high demand projects as streaming, gaming, or other things that need more power or actions like a regular PC. It doesn’t work without being online, and this Samsung doesn’t have a touchscreen like some other Chromebooks. It does, however, have a long battery life, and is WiFi printer capable.

  13. New to laptop has some little glitchy things with the mouse pad which may be normal

  14. This computer is great, it’s lightweight, fast and the picture is amazing. For the price it was a good investment, computing and downloading really fast, as well as uploading, perfect computer for a college or any student.

  15. Has all the bells and whistles i need for a personal use computer. Would have liked a touch screen , but not a deal breaker. Its quick and easy to get up and running and comes with a lot of nice features

  16. Easy switch from s mode, allowing you to add apps from anywhere. S is safety focused, limiting you to select trusted apps. It’s adequately fast to stream. Simple gaming and entertainment are its primary use. It has wifi and Bluetooth. Windows 11 operating system, not super fast, but it beats my phone.

  17. Ideal para lo que necesito. Práctica y fácil de llevar, muy fluida para sus componentes y lo mejor de todo 1 año de office.Superó mis expectativas

  18. My husband wanted this The first one stopped working and had to return it and get a replacement. New one working fine.

  19. This laptop had a lot of bad reviews, so I decided that it deserved a very good one. I was looking for a laptop that is stylish, yet functional. And this one fit the bill. I was hesitant because of all the bad reviews, but I am so happy that I decided to go for this one. I love this thing. It is so perfect. I wanted a MacBook, but they’re so expensive for what I need it for. So, I opted to go for a pc in the $200 range and it was between this one, and a 2 in 1 gateway. Well, I couldn’t get over how much I liked the looks of this one, so despite all of the bad reviews I read, I chose the HP Stream 11, and I can’t believe I’m saying this but…. I think I even like this one more than I would a MacBook… Wow. I said it. Obviously, this pc isn’t going to beat the MacBook’s speed or storage, but for browsing and basic usage, this is perfect! The battery life is incredible. It is very light weight and I’m in love with the size. Not too big, or too small. It’s smaller than your average laptop and it is super cute. It was really really slow when I first got it due to all of the updates that it needed, but after all of that, it’s great! I wouldn’t recommend it for storing a bunch of photos/videos/files on because of its low storage, so if that’s what you need it for then I would definitely recommend using an SD card and configure the pc to store all new content to the card rather than the hard disk space. Lastly, the color of the laptop is diamond white, and I’ll be honest, I did not like the idea of having a white laptop because I thought it would get dirty quickly, but I’ve had it for over a week now and I’ve been handling it ALOT and it has not gotten the slightest bit dirty, nor can you see any fingerprints on the white. All in all, this laptop is amazing for an average person and basic usage. Don’t let the bad reviews sway you away from it. I would have given it 5 stars, but it does not have a backlit keyboard or a touchscreen, and for me, that is the only thing that it lacks other than more RAM and storage obviously. Great product, great price! Thank you HP! 🙂

  20. Very pleased with this item.

  21. My son used a computer a lot in school, so we got him this to use at home and become more fluent in using a laptop. He loves it! We use it for videos and educational apps.

  22. I got this at the end of 2021. I got it as a cheap laptop to write/watch shows on, because im a major klutz and didnt want to invest in something super expensive. Last year I got a wfh job that ran on ChromeOS. So I started using it for work.Since then I’ve dropped it down a flight of stairs, kids spilled a drink on it, it’s gotten tossed around a great deal, and it’s dented on multiple sides (Don’t recommend doing this, it just happened). Still works great. Battery life is as good as ever. Hasn’t had any issues whatsoever.Screen quality is what you’d expect for the price point. Speakers get about as loud as a phone would. So that’s the only drawback I could see for some people. :)Hope this helps!

  23. I just started it up and wanted to go to my settings and it’s already lagging like crazy. Not recommended.Man this was a money waste.

  24. Laptop came in as a new PC. I Noticed it was missing the HDMI and additional cord. When I tried to do the setup(very simple easy instructions) the laptop gave an error saying “update feature needed to allow PC setup. Press next to connect to wifi”. When I pressed next to pick my network the laptop would not allow and would automatically restart. It never allowed setup and would repeat the cycle. Called support and they wanted to hold off on return but luckily I demanded one and was refunded upon return.

  25. It works great for what it is. Perfect for my purposes.
