  1. We are always running out of ice and this has solved the problem. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. This ice maker is excellent and will delivery the 26 lbs. of ice per day. What a lot of people don’t understand about countertop ice makers is that when the ice is made it is about 27 degrees and the ice maker is not a storage freezer. Think of it like the ice that was just made will sit in the ice maker which is like keeping ice in a cooler. It won’t get colder it will just slowly melt and then gets turned back into ice again.Keep in mind when you pull ice out of your kitchen freezer that has been in there for several hours it is around 0 degrees vs. the 27 degrees right out of the countertop ice maker. So, ice from your freezer is going to last a lot longer in a drink than ice out of this countertop ice maker. So, that may not be ideal for some if you are having a drink outside on a hot day and not using an insulated cup. For best results take the ice out of the countertop ice maker and put it in a gallon ziplock bag and place it in the freezer for a little while so it will get down to the 0 degrees. That is not necessary though. The ice that comes right out of the machine is plenty cold enough for drinking beverages indoors. If you want to use the ice outdoors just place the ice in an insulated cup.Pros:Very quality built machine.Very easy to use.It uses lights to notify you of the status rather than annoying beeps. It really does make 26 lbs. of ice in an hour.First ice in about 8 minutes.Full basket of ice in about an hour.Pauses itself when ice basket is full and will resume ice production automatically as soon as some ice is removed.Light comes on when water needs to be added (keep in mind you still have a full basket of ice when this triggers).Melts very slowly and if you leave it on over night it only comes on once or twice to replace the ice that melted.Quite operation. It doesn’t take up a lot of countertop space so we are able to leave it out and it matches our stainless steel fridge. It comes with a nice ice scoop which is great for parties. This ice maker keeps dropping ice every 8 minutes. The cord is very long so it doesn’t have to be right up against the outlet.Cons:The only con I have about the machine is trying to drain the water remaining when you are done using it. There is a drain plug underneath it that is a little tricky to use because you can’t see underneath the machine and you can’t just turn the machine upside down to drain it per their instructions. That will harm the machine. What I found to be a great solution is instead of using the drain plug I use a microfiber towel to soak up all the water left in the machine. That only takes a quick second and you don’t have to move the ice maker over the sink to drain it. I then leave the lid open to make sure it dries out. So it really isn’t a con if you use the microfiber towel. It is so easy this way which means I never mind using the machine even to make a small amount of ice.

  2. I LOVE this ice maker. I live in a rental with just a basic fridge/freezer unit so no built in ice maker, and the small freezer is always packed with barely room to keep an ice bin, and def no room to freeze ice in trays. The way this works is that the ice bullets are formed on metal rods which are the only part of the unit that is chilled to freeze the water, therefore This ice maker does not have a freezer compartment that will keep the finished ice bullets frozen so you will heed to immediately transfer the ice to your freezer as soon as the collection bin is full. The first time I made enough ice to fill my ice bin in my freezer, I realized that the ice bullets tend to have a melted outer layer so that once in the ice bin, they will all freeze into a block of ice bullets that need to be broken apart. I solved this problem by putting the ice bullets into a ziplock bag which I keep in my freezer ice bin. This allows me to easily break up the ice bullets every time I need to retrieve ice from my stash, as well as keeps the ice fresh by not adsorbing odors and also keeps it from sublimating away while in frozen storage. A gallon sized bag was not big enough to maximize the available storage space in my ice bin so I got the 2.5 gal size and those generously line my bin and allow me to store my ice bin’s maximum capacity of ice. When I want ice I just pull the bag out of the bin, drop it onto the counter a few times to break them apart, just like you have to do with a purchased bag of ice. After getting the ice I need out, I just put the bag of ice back in the freezer ice bin, squish out the air and seal the bag & stick it back in the freezer. Easy and fast. The water reservoir of the ice maker holds 2 liters and it just so happens that that amount of water makes the exact amount of ice bullets to completely fill up my freezer ice bin to max capacity so I am very happy with it. A small freezer compartment to collect the ice in as it is made would have rated it 5 stars, but the simpler design without it still works well for my needs and is a much more affordable price than a unit with such a freezer collection space, so a solid 4 stars for a useful unit that will require some personal intervention to transfer the ice into freezer storage as it is made.I do wish that it had an audio alert for the full bin indicator in addition to the red indicator light, so that I could get the ice into the freezer immediately, but since the unit is small, portable and does not need to be hooked up to a water line, I just placed it where I can see it from my desk chair and set an alarm on my phone to start looking at the indicator lights after 50-55 minutes and that is working very well for me.

  3. It’s quiet and quick to make ice.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ! SEE ADDED PHOTOS!!! 📢🦠😷🤧⚠️UPDATED 02/2024 📢⚠️🦠🧼🪥🧊While visiting my grandparents, the ice maker needed water but I wasn’t sure how much was already in the machine. The ice maker is ontop of their 45″ coffee bar cabinet (I’m 5’1). I got a step stool and opened the cover to check the water level.I was stunned by what I saw! Before you go judge or assume that she is dirty etc, as stated in my orginal review below about cleaning the machine, that this can happen quickly. My 86 y/o grandmother is ODC clean & keeps an immaculate home! When I visit, I will clean the machine if I remember, otherwise she will do it.. The last time she thoroughly cleaned the machine was almost 3-weeks ago. Goes to show how quickly debris (and lawrd knows whatelse inside) can accumulate. My cleaning tips are at the bottom of my original review.I have added additional photos to show you how the machine can quickly collect dust, debris etc just from sitting with a closed lid.My grandmother has the ice maker on a raised stand on her countertop – when filling the machine with water, this went unseen. My grandmother was mortified when she saw this. She actually started to cry in fear her or my grandfather would get sick. She almost had me remove the ice maker. This is why I STRESSED about frequent cleanings in my original review.————–‐——————————-Original Unedited Review: I purchased this for my 85 year old grandparents. Their new refrigerator has a botton freezer (which they wanted) but limited freezer space so they took out the ice maker to make room. Every time we had family gatherings, there was no ice not even a tray. When I mentioned buying this to my grandmother – she didn’t want to hear it. She said there would be no room for it on her counters (she has plenty of room). I think they were more concerned they wouldn’t know how to operate it without help or how it would ‘look’ if company came lol. It blends in nicely with her other black & stainless appliances. If anything, her friends/company raves about the maker.I had the ice maker shipped to my grandparents house — and when they received it, they couldn’t get over how well packaged it was — it also has a blue film covering protecting the entire stainless machine. ❄️🧊❄️🧊❄️🧊❄️🧊 and couldn’t get over how compact the ice maker is, how quick it produces ice, and how easy it is to operate. They have actually used this several times when having outdoor gatherings. We plug it into the outside outlet or portable generator & wah lah! It was in the mid 90s with 100% humidity & the lid kept the ice intact – no issues with melting. The ice cubes are large nuggets which is nice.. Depending on your tap water minerals, I recommend using filtered water to reduce build-up.*The machine is very easy to clean AND SO IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ). When I visited, I noticed the machine had a ‘water smell’ and knew it just needed a cleaning.I do recommend cleaning & sanitizing the machine every 4-6 weeks and clean the basket frequently. If you don’t want to spend the money on ice machine cleaner – then white vinegar works just as good if not better. I put distilled vinegar in a spray bottle (1:1 ratio) and spray the inside really good. I would use a lint free microfiber cloth or an old t-shirt to wipe (DON’T USE HARSH CHEMICALS) – you can also mix water & Dawn together and use it as a spray. You’ll want to grab a toothbrush for hard to reach spots. Vinegar is a safe – natural disinfectant & descaler. Anything that gets left uncleaned has the chance to build up grime for another 2 months. DON’T SKIP THIS STEP – YOU WILL GET SICK!! 🪥🧽🧼*MAKE SURE you pour/fill the ice maker with the vinegar solution (vinegar/water), just like how you make ice! Making this ice fills the spaces most likely to have buildup, like the ice maker’s teeth, with your solution. Make sure you give the machine a good thorough rinse because you don’t want your ice to taste like vinegar. This may seem like a pain or a lot to do but it’s actually not. So quick but so IMPORTANT. You DON’T want to take chances on getting sick or someone else because ALL ice makers create mold, slime, e-coli, pests, dust, and dirt—debris of all kinds can affect the quality of your ice. Look out for green or black patches on your ice, because that’s a sure sign that it’s in need of a clean. But other dangers can be harder to spot.I hope you found my review helpful! I know it’s a little long but I rather share helpful information & not have someone get sick.GREAT QUALITY • AFFORDABLE • GIFTABLE • EASY TO USE • MAKES NUGGET ICE IN MINUTES • GREAT FOR PARTIES • INDOOR/OUTDOOR EVENTS • PORTABLE • CAMPING & MORE

  6. Useful ice maker that arrived when it said it would.

  7. This small yet powerful little ice maker is fast. Yes, you have to add water (it is portable and can sit on any countertop or tabletop). I use filtered water from my tap, I like the taste of that water and it is in the taste is in my ice cubes when I scoop them out. It does make some noise, there is a fan and a refrigerant compressor, but it is not so loud as to be annoying (for me). If you are looking for a reasonably small, not too heavy to carry ice maker you can set almost anywhere that there is a three-prong outlet (a three prong UL approved extension cord would also work if you needed it), then this is a good one I recommend. Here are a couple of things on the downside: The bin is not refrigerated, so the ice can melt over time at exposure to room temperature (mine turned into a blob that I could break up). Nice thing is, if the ice does melt, the water goes right down into the water storage area. Be careful if you move it (carry it), when the low water light comes on there is still water in the bottom of the unit. It comes with a drain on the underside of the unit if you want to let out all the water, just make sure you place the cap back on securely. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to read, setup is fast. I am surprised at how quickly you can get a reasonable amount of ice on the “Large” setting (give it about an hour). You will not be disappointed.

  8. I have a condition where I have to increase water intake, and I prefer my water with ice, so I thought this would help. This icemaker has worked great so far, the design is pretty robust and it makes enough ice to keep up with my 5 person office (I’m nice and sharing). This is a continuous circulation design, so as ice is made, it’s dumped into a tray, which melts into a water holding tank, which is then recirculated in the freezing chamber on top.The freezing device consists of several rods with stubby extensions which rotate into a shallow pan of water which is filled via pump from the reservoir beneath the ice basket. The stubs of the rods submerge and as they cool, ice forms around them, making cup shaped cubes. There are options for small or large. My one worry was that the ice would not be very cold and would melt and break quickly, but the larger size cube is quite robust and solid. With the lid down the cubes last fairly long, enough so I’m not bothering to transfer them to the freezer to save them. If I kept the icemaker in a hot room or garage this might not be as practical, but it works very efficiently in an air conditioned office. As the small plastic basket fills, there’s some sort of sensor that automatically shuts off the machine from creating another load, so it can be left relatively unattended. I haven’t paid much attention to the scooping design which collects the cubes and dumps them into the basket, but there haven’t been any problems with it so far.I use water from a filtered fountain and the cubes taste fine, perhaps even better than the water straight out of the filter. I have not tested with unfiltered water, but the water is so gross in my neck of the woods I would be afraid to damage it.I work around a lot of humming machines, so the noise is easy for me to tune out. It can be a little noisy when cycling, so if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing you might want to put it in a different room. I honestly don’t care either way, because the ice is convenient and delicious!Very glad I purchased it, and wavering on getting a second one for at home.

  9. A kitchen colors are red because we have the Coca-Cola design. So when I saw this was red I got it because I got tired of having to go out buy ice especially in the summer we have very very hot summers. So far I’ve never had an issue with it so far it’s worked great and I can use it anytime I need to make ice. The only thing I wish is it had a beeper or some type of alarm on it when the ice bucket is full and you have to empty it during the time you’re making ice. Because it is easy to forget you have it running and you go do things and you come back and you’re like oh shoot! I didn’t empty the ice bucket so the ice does end up melting but it will continually make ice once the ice bucket is less full.I just make a bucket full and I put it in a Ziploc bag and keep them in the freezer. So for me this is fantastic and I never run out of ice!

  10. Had this for a little while now to gauge how well it works and it’s great. Instructions are extremely clear and easy to comprehend. Markings on the machine itself make sure to keep you from overfilling and clean up is a breeze assuming you’re not dumping the most filthy water in there. The interior of the ice machine produces quite a bit of ice with half a tank of water using the “Small” setting. As of yet, I haven’t noticed a substantial difference between the small and large ice settings. If you’re looking to make some quick ice for a drink, the machine does take a few minutes but it’s nothing a quick scroll on your phone won’t solve. After that, dumping excess water is as simple as pulling a plug out from the bottom of the machine and there it goes.I like to fill the tank and make reserve ice for later, just make sure you got a nice ice tub and a pick to break it apart cause the cubes freeze together very quickly. The included scoop actually does a fantastic job of breaking them apart too. It doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

  11. Ice for baseball tournaments. Saves money not buying bags of ice

  12. I really like the way this machine makes ice.The first 3 makings is usually thinner and smaller cubes and than it gets nice and thick. You do have to collect the ice from the tray and put it in the freezer so it doesn’t get soft. As it does melt fast if you leave it in the tray. Overall very easy to handle and great machine. Only thing I wish is that it was a little bit smaller.

  13. I love love love my ice maker. Ive never drank so much water in my life. I only like ice water, my water has to be very cold. These ice cubes are awesome and the machine is quiet, very pretty looking. Im so happy i bought it

  14. Great little machine. Not too bulky, looks nice, makes ice quickly. Simple to use and to clean

  15. I’ll admit that I went into this pretty skeptical of the ice maker, both because of the low price and the lesser-known manufacturer. A family member had a similar countertop ice maker and spoke very highly of it, and I got tired of being the only person in my office to keep refilling the ice trays in the freezer, so I invested in one to automate the process.Initially, I was very let down. It only made 4-5 pieces of ice at a time, and they were misshapen and thin. Over a month or so, it started producing even less ice, until it eventually stopped altogether. I’m assuming a refrigerant leak, but before it completely conked out, I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance. After a quick back and forth they sent me a brand new one. I’ve had it for a month or so, and I’m so impressed by this one that I felt I owed them a review. Now that I have one that functions properly, WOW. 12 ice cube trays being rotated on a daily basis weren’t enough to keep up with my coworkers, but this thing spits out ice so fast we’ll fill our entire bin in a few hours, even with people actively using it. It’s only on for three days a week; if we left it on in perpetuity, we’d be able to swim in all the ice it produces, Scrooge McDuck-style.I don’t review products all that often, but both their response to my support request with the first one and the resulting product were fantastic, and I can’t recommend this one enough.

  16. The ice maker in my new Kitchen Aid refrigerator/freezer frequently stops producing ice.A service technician is coming out yet again tomorrow. This happens frequently enough thatI got sick and tired of running out to buy ice, so I decided to purchase a countertop ice maker. After searching product reviews on various web sites I decided that this Silonn Ice Maker would probablyfit my needs……..AND IT DOES!! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it produced decent sized bullet ice.The ice needs to be removed quickly and transferred to a freezer but I accumulated a good supply in a reasonable amount of time. No need to go out to purchase ice.

  17. I bought this particular brand based on reputation of brand. It’s not bad noisey but noisier than I thought it would be. The ice gets stuck at the top after it makes and you have to move it down so that it will make more, otherwise it thinks it’s full. That’s aggravating. This product is very simple to set up to use. In fact, I didn’t even open the manual. It was that easy. The ice is soft and good, but does melt fast in a drink Overall I recommend this product.

We have used this for parties as well as for everyday use. Makes the ice quite nicely. It is a bit noisy on the drop but that can’t be helped. Make sure you pay attention to it as the ice tends to build up and block the “full of ice” eye before the tray is filled. Also, be aware the the ice isn’t kept cold. There’s no cooling module that chills the ice. It melts back into the reservoir to be re-used. It’s a good ice maker and I’d recommend getting this one. Takes about 7-8 minutes to make a batch of 9 large cubes

  19. This machine works wonders after letting it sit for the 24 hours. It started making ice like crazy. It’s very clean and crisp. It’s not loud at all and it is the definitely cool that it self cleans.

  20. Makes ice quicker than I thought it’s small easy to use and place in the kitchen does not take much space and will be very useful for hot summer days!!

  21. This is a great quality icemaker. Takes up minimal space. Works fast. Is consistent in size, quality, and output of its cubes. You won’t go wrong by purchasing this icemaker. I use it EVERY day.

  22. Works great, super quality and very easy to use. Best purchase I have made all year

  24. It makes a small footprint but cranks out a lot of ice in a short period of time. Rather than spend $300 on another actuator assembly for my Samsung refrigerator (the replacement lasted only 1 1/2 years), this is a much less expensive and more reliable fix. I am very happy with it.
