I am using this product in Florida for Mosquito control. After three weeks of using this product just in my backyard, I have noticed a significant difference. My backyard is almost completely mosquito free. My front yard is untreated (for experimentation purposes of trying this product) and as soon as I cross the border from my back yard to my front yard, I get swarmed with mosquitoes. In the backyard, I don’t have to wear a mosquito cover to do yard activities. In the front yard, I do have to wear a mosquito cover. That’s how bad it is here. So that’s my confirmation that this product is working.Pros:- Seems completely safe for our wildlife and our dogs.- Smells wonderful.- Easy to apply to the yard.- Instantly effective in helping to reduce the mosquito population on our property.- The wasps, bees, and dragonflies fly around and stay in the yard unharmed. Even right after spraying.Cons:- Becomes completely ineffective after a rain. So plan to respray your yard as soon as the weather dries up.- Does not seem to really “kill” the mosquitoes. Instead it seems to be an effective repellent against mosquitoes. After I spray, the mosquitoes visibly hover/swarm over our property just above the tallest point that I sprayed (I spray up into the bushes and trees). They attempt to land, but don’t because of the spray. After a while, the mosquitoes just disappear off of our property.- You must use this in conjunction with other mosquito control products. This spray is effective, but if you want an almost mosquito-free yard, you need to include using mosquito traps on the perimeter of your property and mosquito BTI pellets for any fountains and potted plants to kill the larvae. Using all three methods is how we were able to attain an almost mosquito-free backyard.I don’t have a problem with either fleas or ticks. So I cannot attest to whether this product works for that or not.I also realized that this product is most effective when you do the following:- Wait until your yard is completely dry from any rain or sprinklers.- Mow the grass and trim bushes first.- Apply the spray and include saturating all of the bushes and trees (our mosquitoes live in the branches of the trees and bushes here as well as in thick grass and mulch.- Refrain from watering your yard for at least 24 hours to let the repellent do it’s work- Lightly water your lawn on the following days, but expect to reapply if you tend to saturate your yard when watering.I am removing one star due to the price. Because it is so easily washed off from the yard after a rain or good sprinkler soak, this can get expensive to use regularly during our Mosquito Season.I have a lot of trees and bushes in the backyard, so it takes one container just to cover everything in my backyard alone. I would need a second container to cover the front yard. I live on .3 acres.

I received twice the volume for half the local price at Bunnings! And it works exactly as well as the product sold at Bunnings! Best value for money I’ve had in years and I will only order it from this supplier from now on.

  3. The fire ants like eating it more than my kids like eating Brussel sprouts, this is a good thing. Most of them all seemed to die. The ones that didn’t, moved and wouldn’t take the bait again. I respect the fact that ants are smarter than humans, therefore I had no option but to nuke the rebel strongholds with liquid poison. That taught them whose the boss. So far so good, and this is now part of my arsenal in a losing battle against a mightier opponent.

  4. TL;DR It’s good stuff. It kills. You learn to love the killing. She is ruthless. She is unrelenting. She is the Queen and she is The Rebel. She hides and plans and sends out her minions to poke and prod at our defenses. Her goal is to overthrow us. But we have The Golden Grain of Death, and with its power we can win. For a time, anyway.Combat procedures:For a small property ignore the recommended coverage and buy 2 or 3 of the 24oz containers. I know its pricy, but sometimes you need to pay to win. When you apply it ignore the side of the cap with the holes, just use the big one. Hold it so the side with the cap is on the bottom and perpendicular to the ground. Then shake it back and forth gently, with discipline. You want the strike zone to look like sprinkles on ice cream, but not like ice cream dipped in sprinkles. If its going to rain, postpone engagement. Rain washes the stuff away and you will need to reclaim lost ground. The Rebel attacks after the rain so be vigilant.Battleground:Apply a defensive perimeter around your base, make it good and wide. Then scout the area. Go look for The Rebel. If you see any movement at all attack first and ask questions later. Don’t be stingy with ammunition. The Rebel will cost you more in the long run if you let her live. The strike zone should be a wide area around any sign of The Rebel you detect. The wider the area, the more effective it is. Learn where The Rebel thrives. One side of my base never sees action. Its a waste to attack a spot like that with more than minimum firepower. The Rebel likes dry dirt best.Aftermath:Soon you will be able to observe the fallout. First you will see the Rebel carrying the little yellow trojan horses back home. Once the rebel brings some to Her Majesty the war is won. I usually see immediate effect the day after battle. A few of the rebel will be wandering around aimlessly, wondering how her great Resistance could have fallen in such a short time. If I were in The Rebel’s shoes and everything and everyone I knew was gone overnight…I’d probably take a long walk too.Peacetime:You are right to feel proud of your victory. It feels good to eradicate an entire population. But don’t get complacent and rest on your laurels. You need to re-apply after it rains or after its been awhile. Outside Rebels can take an interest in your territory at any time. There is no such thing as total victory.

  5. It kills the ants that’s for sure, I have dead ant piles just a few hours after applying. My dislike is it seems like the mound keeps moving to a different place in my yard so we have to apply every few days to new mounds.

  6. Used exactly as directed by instructions, 24 hours later entire fire ant colonies were eradicated.Instructions states place in early morning or evening, when fire ants are foraging. I elected to place this in the evening so there would be more time for them to forage, find, and carry to the depths of the colony. This may have been an incorrect assumption, but, it worked.Once sprinkled with the instructed amount of water the odor was strong and a bit unpleasant but not unbearable. The odor was gone the next day, so were the fire ants.Other products that state they kill the fire ants are far more expensive, about 9 times more expensive, yet they only use one method. This product has at least two methods, keeps the eggs from hatching, and kills the ants and queen. This was only about $4.48 for 3.5 lbs very economical. It’s been a week since I applied this product and killed the colonies, no evidence that the colony or mound moved i.e. No new mounds anywhere in my yard.

  7. This does work great for fleas and other insects in my backyard. I hate giving my dogs any type of flea repellent so I use this in my backyard. Been using it for a few years now and my dogs do not have any fleas. I use it about twice a month and a bottle lasts for about 4 -5 sprays. The smell isn’t bad but I don’t care for it, but it is better than others out there. This also does not hurt your grass or plants. Doesn’t discolor rocks or curbing. I’ve used other brands but I keep coming back to this brand, it is the best and I will not change again as long as they keep making it. I just wish it was a little cheaper, but as I found out before, cheaper is not better.

  8. I just paid $250 for an exterminator because I was having ant problems and all kinds of bugs come in and I just thought I would do one good spray but I can’t afford to do the ongoing services. He ended up telling me that, truthfully, with these, I could keep them away, he said I don’t need them right now because I’m spraying but these are the best. My next-door neighbor said the same thing. I bought all three forms so I put some of the liquid sticks in a couple of places outside, kept the liquid drops for inside, and then I used this on the outside of my deck, around a tree base, and outside of my garage area where they came in recently and attacked my cat kibble. BTW, people say it depends on what kind of ants you get whether they want sweet or not such as your cat food according to the exterminator what it really is is when they are building their nest like now they want proteins , and when they are done with their nest, they enjoy the sugar. Makes sense when you think about it.

  9. I’ve got a black carpenter ant problem and I found this requires more than just putting it down.By itself, it’s not gonna stem the problem if you’ve got a large colony. As I’ve found in the past, nothing by itself stops them. After putting this down, I did notice some picking it up, but saw only a slight reduction in the ant traffic after a week. I ended up having to suppliment with granulars, and this didn’t stop all of them either. After a month and a half, I noticed the ant traffic picking up again, so I’m gonna haveta lay down the granulars again in hopes of stemming the tide.Does it work? To a degree, but should be bought with the thought you’re gonna need multiple defenses to rid yourself of a carpenter ant problem. And yes, you’ll be having to do it multiple times a year depending on the climate you live in. And you’ll be doing it next year as well, as your defenses are only pushing them away from inhabiting your yard. They’ll just move the colony away from whatever you’re putting down and start coming back once it’s safe for them to return

  10. Applications appear to last about two months. However kills small sweet ants dead. As in DOA.

Wondercide EcoTreat Ready-to-Use Outdoor Pest Control Spray has been a lifesaver for my yard, especially when it comes to tackling fleas and ticks. As a pet owner, I wanted a safe and effective solution to protect my furry friends from these pests, and Wondercide has exceeded my expectations. The fact that it is made with natural essential oils gives me peace of mind, knowing that it is free from harmful chemicals. I love that it’s ready-to-use, making application a breeze, and it doesn’t leave any residue or unpleasant odor.Since using Wondercide, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in fleas and ticks in my outdoor space, creating a safer environment for both my pets and my family. It’s fantastic to have an eco-friendly option that delivers outstanding results. Wondercide EcoTreat has become an essential part of my pest control routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and efficient solution to keep their outdoor spaces pest-free.

  12. The size of this product is great for me to use – not some heavy 25 pound bag I have to lug around or put the contents into smaller bags. In addition, I like the fact I can get many bags delivered at once and don’t have to bring them the store. The product works very well!

  13. I had TONS of flies and hornets swarming my back patio. Every time we’d open the door, they would race into my house. I bought this and applied it twice with not very good results. I didn’t think it was working. Then, I applied it for the third time (spaced it out over about two weeks) and now the bugs are GONE. I can’t belive it. It also smells really good.

  14. I live in New England, which isn’t exactly a traditional mosquito hell zone. I decided I would try something a little more natural this summer, but I am sad to say I am disappointed. I applied the product on multiple occasions throughout the season before giving up and moving on to actual, stronger insecticides. Wondercide seems to work for a few days, but you constantly need to respray the yard. I would see tiger mosquitos swarming me as I stepped down on the grass a week after thoroughly spraying the yard (with no rain). Also, the product becomes completely useless after a moderate rainfall, as it easily gets washed away. Your investment goes straight down into the soil, pretty much like flushing your wallet down the toilet. In other words, you’d better hope your treatment is timed correctly (but then again, who can predict the weather, right?). Mosquitoes quickly came back, regardless of how far apart from the rain I sprayed (1 week, 3 days, 1 day prior, same results). So basically in my experience any rainfall would immediately ruin the entire treatment, which in itself is a reason for me to dismiss it as an impractical option, given how often it has rained this summer. Even when it doesn’t rain you have to constantly reapply the product to see a noticeable difference, which is not sustainable given its high price tag. Given the product’s extremely low longevity and cost, I could’ve spent the same amount of money hiring a mosquito control company to spray my yard for the entire summer.

  15. I have been using these for a few weeks now as Fire ants have suddenly started appearing in our yard. Definitely does the job in killing them as I will see hundreds of dead ants on top of the mound after using this within hours. Not quite sure if it’s killing the queen or they just move and reappear after a few days as here recently a new mound usually appears within 50 feet or so after a few days.Started with 6 mounds in the yard but down to only 1-2 reappearing. So progress regardless.

  16. This worked for about 3 days and then they were back. So not worth it even though it only cost me 5 bucks. Having to do this every couple days makes it not even worth it.

  17. Works great for killing ant mounds. This product was hard to find at our local Lowes or Home Depot, but Amazon has them at a good price. I try to always have some at my home to kill any ant mounds that show up.

  18. I am not very impressed with this product. Seems like it just pissed off the ants & they just moved underground on down about 6-10 feet and started a new nest. Wish there was a product out for the consumer that KILLS the entire nest so that you don’t have to keep on and on buying product and treating just to have the ants move a litter further along and take up shop elsewhere. I’m finding that the fire ant products get more expensive and do less control! I don’t want to play with them, I want to eradicate them!!

  19. Got red ants? Look no further this does the trick!

  20. This product does work, however, it is a bit expensive in my book. It lasts for roughly about a month. It advertises three months. I don’t see that happening. I’ll settle for one month. I can’t find a product out there that actually last as long as advertised. Some don’t even work. This one does. Just not as long as you’d expect.

  21. I have been having an ant problem outside the front of my house and needed a solution. I had originally been hosing down the ants to remove them, but this was only a temporary solution as they would be back the next day.As a result, I decided to try this and an all purpose outdoor pest control spray. The outdoor pest control spray did absolutely nothing to stop the problem. The Amdro ant bait on the other hand, completely got rid of the ant problem in several areas within 2 days. There are still a few ants in some areas, but I have faith this will get them after another application. With the above said, I am a little cautious with putting this outside, as we have ducks that occasionally come through our yard. The bottle says to avoid direct contact with humans and animals, so I have used less than the recommended amount to avoid the ducks getting sick. If you have any pets that go outside, I would recommend maybe doing the application at night and avoid the area as much as you can for 24 hours.

  22. I am happy with this product. It’s easy to open and reseal and like the grated opening for the product to come out. It does leave the sprinkled product on the ground if it doesn’t completely dissolve,m which may be of concern if a pet or child can get to it after it’s gotten rid of the ant pile.

  23. I wish I hadn’t bought 2 containers since this does nothing to carpenter ants. I thought it worked at first because the ants slowly disappeared, but it was because they were just moving away from the bait and finding another path to our roof.

  24. I was a professional pest control operator, this poison did NOT eradicate. I applied per directions, did several attempts. F8nally pulled old poison and killed the ants. Sorry it wasnt useful.

  25. I typically try not to use much pesticides, but I draw the line when it comes to ants. We have biting red ants and a little sprinkle of this takes care of most of them. You have to be diligent and stay after the mound as the small amount of survivors will relocate to a different area.

  26. I had a very serious carpenter ant infestation. I tried all the other options, including the terro liquid bait traps they had at the hardware store. Those did not work (but they’re fine for regular ants). Upgraded to Terro T2600 and it took care of the carpenter ant issue.

  27. I’ve been using this for the last few years with very good results. Nothing is perfect, but out of all my friends and people in my neighborhood that have the same ant issues, I’m the only one that can say ours is in control. I just spread it around my house periodically, and hardly ever have issues that matter. Last year I tried an exterminator because I didnt find this locally, and their treatment was not nearly as effective.

  28. Amdro definitely kills the fire ants after 2 days. The jug I received had the old packaging on it, not the new one that is shown, but still works. When you first shake the jug to get amdro sprinkled out, it takes a while as the jug is full. So patience here, and after it got 3/4 full, material came out easily..

  29. I have a large yard and alot of little black ants, this took care of it. Note you still have to use it once a month most likely depending on how bad your ant problem is.

  30. Terro is the only manufacturer that has a granule bait that actually killscarpenter ants. It takes patience because the worker ants need to takethe bait to the queen ant. Once she eats the bait, the nest dies.. Spraysonly kill the worker ants, not the queen.

  31. Easy to use. It works pretty well when used as directed. Bag seal is great.

  32. Easy to use and really kills those stubborn fire ants.

  33. Kills my fire ants. This is my go to product

  34. Big granules dont dust up on application, and stay put.. Use less product than other brands to be effective

  35. I usually buy after I’m over run by ants. This year I bought early and haven’t had a problem at all

  36. It is true. This really works on keeping those ants at bay. The only ant killer I have used that works as described!

  37. Easy to open the bag and works as easy as advertised, was enough go around entire house with a good 1-1.5 foot band. Always have lots ants hoping this and home defense I spray do the trick. Home defense seems to kill on contact but doesn’t last too long. I think rains wash that stuff away pretty quickly so hopefully this takes care of the nests.

  38. Works really good on ants

  39. I have owned this home since 2005. We have been struggling with the invasion of sugar ants for the last 9 years. I have had Terminex and another company to rid my house of ants for the last 3 years. My brother told me about Amdro so I went out and purchased some. I’m saving myself lots of $ by sprinkling this around my house and for the first year in 9 years we don’t have ants coming in this spring. I’m really impressed and will keep using this product.
