  1. The Echo Studio is a quantum leap from any other speaker that Amazon has produced to date. Everything else sounds like a transistor radio in comparison. The sound separation is fantastic and you can actually feel the bass at higher volume levels. There a couple of issues, however. The vaunted 3D sound is a waste on anything other than the songs that are specifically set up for it. DO NOT use it as a default setting. The music that is not 3D will sound muddy and the vocals will be lost in the mix. However, if you turn it off, the music will immediately brighten and the vocals will be clear and crisp. There are a lot of online reviews where they claim that the clarity of the vocals is lacking. That is because they were early reviews and took place before you could turn off the Spatial enhancement option. Second, if you combine the speaker in a group or as stereo pair, playing the amazon music app causes songs to stop playing at random and skip to the next song. I have read online where it stops playing altogether for some people. It does not happen when just playing though a single speaker. I have not experienced the problem, as yet, when playing through the alexa app. However the Alexa app navigation leaves something to be desired. Also the Alexa app doesn’t show the quality of the track that’s playing.Ok, issues out of the way, I have 2 of the Echo Studio paired for stereo and the sound is a revelation. Listening to the White Album in Ultra HD reveals melodies and instrumentation that I’ve never heard before. The clarity of the voices is amazing. It’s like listening to it for the first time. The 3D tracks sound great as well. There is a massive sound stage. The music really does envelop you. It’s not the same as surround sound. So those looking to relive the days of 5.1 SACD and DVD-HD will be disappointed. It’s impossible to get the same effect from one or two speakers. You won’t hear discrete sounds from behind you, but instead you get a full range from in front of you. It’s difference between sitting the front row for a concert (Echo Studio) and sitting on stage in the middle of the orchestra (5.1 surround). I haven’t tried out the pair for fireTV as yet. The current options for Dolby Atmos are limited and I’ve already watched the new season of Jack Ryan, but I may try this at some point in the future. The amazon credit for turning in an old Echo, sealed the deal on getting the second Studio. The wait for a second one was too long from Amazon, so I got it at Best Buy. They also participate in the Echo buy back program. So, I turned in an old echo dot and got 25% off the new studio (the discount is the same regardless of which echo you turn in), along with a $5 credit. So instead of $219 (with tax), I got the second studio for $155 (with tax). Great deal and with the discount it’s about the same price as an Echo Plus. The size may be an issue to some, but it wasn’t with me. In order to accommodate 5 speakers, there is no way for it fit into the same space as the Plus. The space is really need to fit the subwoofer and it certainly makes a difference. So my final thoughts: It’s a fantastic speaker. Much better than anything else you can get from Amazon. The price is right, especially if you turn in old echo dot (any echo really, but the dot is the cheapest of the bunch and you get the same discount). Don’t use the Stereo Spatial Enhancement. The songs in 3D will play that way regardless of the setting and it makes everything else sound worse (in my opinion). There may be point when Amazon releases an update to fix this, but at this point it’s worthless. I have never had a Bose or a Sonos, so I can’t compare, but I doubt anything in this price range can compete with what the Studio has to offer. If sound quality is important to you and you subscribe the Amazon HD music service (the studio is the only device Amazon offers that can play the Ultra HD music in full 24/196 quality), I would say run don’t walk to get one (or two) of these. You won’t regret it.UPDATE: I did try out the Dolby Atmos feature last night. I watched some of Jack Ryan and Carnival Row. The effect was just as outstanding as the music. Wide sound stage and clear, crisp dialogue. I do think that for watching movies the subwoofer might be a good addition. The bass was definitely present, but I think that the subwoofer would add some welcome bottom to the sound field (Perhaps that will be a Black Friday/Christmas purchase). The setup was fairly simple after restarting the 4K firestick. Initially the firestick was greyed out in the Alexa app, but after a restart it showed up. Set up involved just following the instructions after that.As stated before, there are very few options to watch Dolby atmos enabled content on Amazon. It does not allow it from Netflix, and as of yet, does not have the option for the Disney+. Hopefully that will change at some point in the near future (although I’m not holding my breath). However, since my main reason for buying the Studio in the first place was for music playback, I see the Atmos option as an added bonus.Update 2: they have fixed spatial enhancement mode! It sounds fantastic. If you toggle between the two modes, you can actually hear the sound field shrink. It’s now very worthwhile. Also I added a sub to the mix and it does wonders for the sound. If you are using the studio in the kitchen or a home office, one will work spectacularly. If you are using it in a living room or large space then 2 with a sub is the way to go. The sub adds so much depth when you are listening in a larger space. Currently playing through the app is a problem but voice commands still work fine.

  2. I had been looking at, and watching reviews of the Echo Studio since it was announced last year, and had decided, it was a product, that I initially wanted to get my hands on, and at least test.Since I have been happy with my Echo Plus 2nd Gen, and Echo Dot 3rd Gen, I put the studio on the back burner.Earlier this month, I just happened to be at my local Best Buy, and they had a couple in stock, so I decided to grab one.First Impressions:The studio looks and feels to be well builtIt seems to be able to fit into a good amount of places, although I’ve only had it in one so far, but (judging by that location) leads me to believe, even though the largest echo speaker, that it can fit anywhere (within reason). The sound is extremely well balanced, at least for the majority of music I listen to, and even a good stereo mix is immersive on this speaker, the left and right channels come out clear, and it’s NOT just stereo, it does immerse you, however, I have noticed that it depends on the style and recording quality of the music as to how well that works. As others have mentioned in reviews, by default the Echo Studio has a Spacial feature enabled to enhance stereo. I’ll leave this up to YOU to turn it off, or leave it on. I will leave this suggestion, if you don’t have a technical background in audio, and want to keep things simple turn this off in the Alexa app under settings:device settings: your echo studio:audio settings. I say this because it’s essentially what Dolby Pro Logic, and other similar technologies do to simulate surround sound from stereo. Some music it actually helps and gives a nice affect to, and others it distorts, and actually makes sound worse. Putting that aside though Audio sounds really good through this device, and the bottom line is, to get the best performance, you can’t always use the defaults, or someone else’s settings, because there are too many variables. that can change.Other things I’ve found to share, Initially I had WiFi issues with the 5ghz channel, because the Echo doesn’t get full signal where it’s at here, but switching to the 2.4ghz channel has made things more stable, not just for the echo studio, but features like multi room music, and overall performance. My advice here is:Yes, 2.4ghz is going to be a slower channel then the 5Ghz one in many cases. However, for an audio only device such as an echo without a screen, it’s not going t make a difference in performance. So if issues with Wifi, and it’s on the 5ghz channel, try setting it to 2.4. Amazon even recommends this, in their help article on updating and troubleshooting Wifi settings with echo products. Let me rephrase that, they suggest 5ghz for faster performance but suggest 2.4 for better stability and signal range.Bottom Line:The echo studio is a great smart speaker with a unique design and purpose. As always, while the sound is great from this device, it’s not a replacement for a dedicated surround system. If you’re ok with this fact, and still want to try this product, I recommend it 100%.

  3. I have owned the last two Generation Echo Shows. The Echo Show 1 & Echo Show Gen 2. The Echo Show 10 solves all the issues that the first two devices had, and adds even more features jam packed into one great device. Now before I get into the meat and potatoes — let me tell you about the truly magical experience I have had with this device. It arrived in a box almost double the size of the previous model — and this device is BIG! The screen is huge! The speaker is also apparently much more powerful than the last generation — and I can tell, that is most definitely the case. But the true magic comes when you power on and set up the Echo. The Amazon team really did wonders creating this device. Both the camera and the AI in this thing are crazy good. Assuming you have motion enabled, as soon as you say the wake word, i.e., “Alexa” the device honed in on my direction, rotated towards me, and began listening. If you walk around the room, this device follows you. You can’t understand how cool this is until you try it out. I would upload a video, but I’m sure you can look it up on YouTube, and there will likely be hundreds of reviews showcasing it here. There’s something about the tracking technology that Amazon has gotten just right. I called up my Grandma who has my old first gen echo show, and she didn’t even realize we were conversing as I was walking around my room. She thought I was just stationary the whole time. When I pointed it out and showed to her, her jaw dropped. The way the camera zooms in on you, and the range of video it can show is phenomenal. I can jump onto my bed (my echo is on my nightstand) and the echo will zoom in and focus on me. When I go off the side of my bed, it follows zooming out, and can follow my body all the way as I walk back across the room towards the device. It all feels so natural. The only thing that is missing would be if the Echo device itself moved! You can now have a conversation with someone when moving around your environment, without having to remain stationary. In a kitchen, a home gym, or anywhere you’d want to talk with someone actively, this device would be really extraordinary to play with, especially during covid times.I use my device in my room as an Alarm clock — so previously, my camera would be staring across the room as to not let me look at the screen if needed (for time/alarms, etc). Now, with the camera cover, I feel much more comfortable covering the camera and rotating the device to look towards me at night. Now, take these into consideration as you decide if you want to purchase:First, if you want to get the latest and greatest Echo device, the purchase is a no brainer. I am an Amazon loyalist, and can say that even from first impressions, this device blows all other Amazon devices I’ve owned away.Second, if you’re a user who doesn’t mind the camera being uncovered, then you’ll have no problem with this device. You’ll love it. The motion features will be left on 16/7 for me. I wouldn’t be comfortable allowing having the camera on while I’m sleeping (and staring at me), but for a public area in your home — who cares? I wouldn’t mind, I’d leave it on all day — it following you around is magical.Third, if you fall into the second issue above, you CAN use the camera cover to disable motion. If you don’t mind sliding the cover open and closed every morning/night, this could work for a nightstand alarm clock, and the hassle/inconvenience would be worth it.Pros:- Motion is magical- Camera is high definition- Sound is great. Music sounds lively. Lyrics on screen that follow you around the room- Adaptive screen dimming still works even when camera/motion is blocked/disabled- You can manually rotate the device when motion is off i.e. I’m going to bed, to point it towards me. I don’t know if that’s safe for the motor — I’ll ask Amazon!Cons:- If your room doesn’t have a full range of motion, the Echo might get confused when following you around. Since it is on my nightstand, the echo really only needs to turn about 90° to see in front if itself, and when I go to the left of my room. If I go to exit my room, it might start losing tracking, which could probably fixed in a future OS update (to halt moving at a specific point, which it already does).Bottom Line: I 100% recommend this as an upgrade to an old device or a new device for any potential Echo owners. If you don’t feel comfortable with the motion controls, turn them off, but you won’t get the full package and what I think is the biggest selling point of this device. Put this in a public room and try it out — you won’t regret it.EDIT: After seeing more reviews a few points to mention:1. White power cord. Who cares? You dock a star for this? Don’t listen to normies giving poor reviews who think the color of a power cord which is draped out of sight will have any effect on how the device improves over it’s predecessor2. Complaints over resolution: if you’re not buying this thing to watch full-fledged movies on, it’s fine. You won’t notice.3. Complaints over tracking: it won’t track you with the camera in the dark. A future models can probably have an infrared light added (similar to FaceID) to fix that problem.4. I saw someone complaining about Airplay and multiroom audio. Echo devices support multiroom audio through Amazon’s Ecosystem — not bluetooth. It has never supported that. Why would you expect this to change without notice?Don’t listen to the haters. People reviewing are acting as if this device isn’t 5x better than the last generation of the Show. Motion is a stellar addition that would bring moving smart devices into the mainstream. No one here knows what athe Facebook Portal is, because there was never a solid backing behind the product line. Echos are in homes across America, and I’m sure that this will lead to better smart devices from Amazon in the future. For reference, I have owned an: Echo Show 1, Echo Show 2, Echo Dot, and have coded ~5 Alexa Skills. I know these devices. This gen is great. Give it 1 month and these will be 5/5. These reviews all read so fake. Who purchases a device and returns it same-day due to a different colored power cord? Who returns a device that doesn’t do something they expected when it was never said the device did it?Low-information consumers and people with too high expectations… there’s a reason why it’s called PRE-ORDERING, because you KNOW you are going to like it and/or take what you get. No one forced you to buy a day 1 device.TL;DR: Don’t listen to bad reviews. Buy this if you’re in the market.

  4. So let’s look at the model Echo Show 10 itself. Thought it was going to be something like putting a tablet on top of an Apple Home Pod (first gen). Well….it’s not. Keep forgetting the Echo Show devices are not tablet user interface devices and the sound quality is not even close to the Home Pod, so just a tad disappointed with that. That said, I do really like the device. I don’t have a problem with the Echo UI, in fact i kinda like it better than a tablet. The sound isn’t bad, it just isn’t what I was hoping for after looking at the design and certainly the price point. The screen and camera quality are really quite good, although when I watch the home screen transition from one picture to another the transition is not super smooth, like maybe the processor is a little under-powered. Not sure about that one tho. The motion feature is nice that it moves to “look at” whoever in the room is talking to it (nice feature), the problem is you can turn the motion off, close the camera and still it’s gonna move to what ever section of the house has the brightest light. That is so annoying. I might want it to stay looking “at me” and not move around so I ask it to play something, turn any motion option OFF and it will eventually move anyway. Drives me up the wall. I think that could probably be addressed in a software OS fix, hopefully soon. Also, when you talk to it, it will move around a lot like it’s trying to figure out where you are exaclty. All in all, it isn’t a bad device for the living room, picture, sound, camera all nice, just needs the motion adjusted to “don’t move” means “don’t move” and they could probably upgrade the processor or maybe adjust the OS a little. If you need an Echo Show and you are only going to purchase one AND don’t need it to function as a hub, I’d go with the Echo Show 8 (2021). Otherwise, wait for some changes to this model. Gave it 4 stars for all nice features, but minus one big star for the motion. Does play live video feeds like ABC News really well, that’s a plus…and my favorite Sci-Fi (Expanse) looks amazing on it too. If they fix any issues I’ll update this review. Hope it helps.Review Update 9/3/2022: So I moved the Echo 10 into a different room where the lighting was more even and that stopped most of the moving around problems. Then one day it seemed to want to move again and when I was finished a screen popped up that asked if I wanted to change the direction limits. I said yes and it had a great feature I wasn’t aware of that let me set the boundaries to the smallest movement possible. With those two changes I have updated my 4 stars to 5. Problems solved and now I don’t have to constantly look at the back of the screen. Very happy, really like this product. Thinking about buying another one to replace an Echo 5. The 5 is amazing, but I’ve gotten to the point where I just want the biggest screen possible, thus the only reason to replace the 5. Good luck, hope this info helps!

  5. Purchased this as a Christmas gift and we’re told it was easy to hook-up to their wifi. The sound quality is good, but not great; but then again, it’s not a Bose system so that’s not a knock on it. The bulb works well in the kids’ room and they have fun with the changing colors. This wasn’t expensive, so it was a good buy.

  6. CORRECT

  7. The Cloud Blue Echo Dot (5th Gen, 2022 release) has completely changed my daily routine by integrating cutting-edge technology into an elegant form factor. This smart speaker has been an invaluable addition to my home, providing me with the services of Alexa as well as serving as a stylish and practical clock.I was immediately drawn to the Cloud Blue hue of my new Echo Dot with clock because of how softly it injects a burst of energy into any room. The device’s compact size makes it suitable for use in any room of the house, from the bedroom to the kitchen. Amazon’s commitment to offering products that complement a wide range of aesthetic preferences is reflected in the subtlety of this one. This smart speaker stands out from the crowd because to its built-in LED clock display. This seemingly minor modification has transformed my Echo Dot from a simple alarm clock into a multifunctional wristwatch. The LED display is easy to read from across the room, and its brightness can be adjusted so that it doesn’t keep me up at night. Having the ability to switch between a 12-hour and 24-hour clock face as well as adjusting the clock’s brightness is a nice touch. The Echo Dot’s brilliance lies in its voice-activated functions, which are made possible by Alexa. Setting alarms, checking the weather, listening to music, and controlling smart home equipment may all be done with just a few phrases. The sound from the 5th generation Echo Dot is superior to those of its predecessors, filling the room with music that is both crisp and balanced. Whether I’m listening to my go-to podcast or a constantly evolving playlist, the Echo Dot always delivers excellent sound quality.Voice control is surprisingly reliable because to the system’s several microphones, which allow Alexa to hear my commands even in noisy environments. I was blown away by how well the voice recognition worked. It almost never fails to comply with my demands and provides instant feedback. The Echo Dot has become an indispensable device, allowing me to effortlessly access information, schedule updates, and entertainment.Since privacy and security are so important in today’s interconnected world, I am overjoyed by the privacy safeguards Amazon has implemented in the Echo Dot. The ability to switch off the microphones is a convenient feature that allows me to enjoy some peace and quiet whenever I need it. Amazon’s openness about data usage and the ability to review and delete voice recordings via the Alexa app are further indications of the company’s commitment to user control and data protection.Setting up the Echo Dot was a breeze with the help of the intuitive Alexa app, which took me through the process. The process of linking the device to my Wi-Fi network and making my desired adjustments was quick and painless. The Echo Dot is a good long-term investment because Amazon regularly updates its software to include the most recent features and enhancements. The Echo Dot (5th Gen, 2022) with clock is a great example of smart technology that has been simplified to perform a single, specific task in a time when smart technology may sometimes seem overwhelming. The combination of a high-tech watch and Alexa’s brainpower has made my regular tasks much more manageable and enjoyable. The Echo Dot adapts easily to my needs, whether I’m setting an alarm to gently wake me up in the morning or just listening to my favorite music. This smart speaker has seamlessly integrated into my life at home and become an essential tool. The Echo Dot with clock has undeniably merited its five-star rating for its top-notch functionality, sleek design, and helpful contribution to today’s simplified lifestyle.

  8. I own 2 Fire TV Cubes 2nd Gen, 1 Fire TV Cube 1st gen, 1 Fire TV Max, 3 Fire TV 4K Sticks, 1 Omni Fire TV and 1 Insignia Fire TV. To say that I am invested in the Fire TV Echo System is an understatement. I can state that the Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen is by far the best of the Fire TV’s sold by Amazon. I replaced one of my 2nd Gen Fire TV Cubes and the set up was super easy with integration to my Wifi and downloading of already owned apps a breeze. (setting up the passwords for all the apps continues to be a pain and took a long time to do). The aesthetics of this Fire TV is the best of the lot, it looks really premium. The interface is the same as the others however, the speed of navigation is fantastic. It is really fast making it a real joy to use. The Wifi 6E is supported however I can’t tell the difference in the speed, but I can tell you that application buffering is really almost non existent. I have a T-Mobile 5G Gateway that averages 306 Mbs and supports wifi 6E, so perhaps that does make a difference. I have this cube attached to an LG 4K 65 inch TV and use a Yamaha 800 sound bar (attached via an optical cable). My Fire TV also controls a Sony DVD player, and Sony Playstation. I can switch between all HDMI inputs with no problem by voice. I do think that the 3rd gen cube produces a better sound quality through my Yamaha sound bar since it does support a wider range of output. Alexa works flawlessly as well, so no complaints. . So my net net is 1) Really fast performance, 2) better sound quality, 3) looks like a premium streaming device with the cloth enclosure, 4) very nice upgraded remote, 5) Alexa works great at controlling my TV and Sound Bar, 6) Integrated IN and OUT HDMI connectivity ports (which I don’t use). My only negative is that one of the hot key’s on the remote is Direct TV, which I would never use and would love to be able to change it. Also for the price, Amazon should have included the premium remote (backlit) with this Fire TV.I would recommend this Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen for your main viewing area over all other Fire TVs. I would buy this on sale vs. the list price. I was able to purchase this Cube for $119 plus my trade in. In my book speed is king and this Fire TV will not disappoint you. I am confident that I will be using this Fire TV for the next 5 years minimum.

  9. So, this surge protector and power strip has a lot of protection when it comes to surge protection! At the top end of what you will find for general electronics, this one has 1680 joules of protection before it gets fried to save everything thats plugged into it. If you have any high end gaming computers, REALLY expensive electronics, you would purchase an expensive/entire next level surge protector having over 2000 (2K) joules of protection. So this surge protector packs a punch for all regular electronics, regular computer equipment. The lit up center green button shows that the surge protection is still working and has not been fried by a lightening hit or something. If it does one day get fried, this whole unit will still work as a power strip but would no longer provide the surge protection for the devices plugged into it.I mounted this charger and plugged in some “hard to plug in” electrical cords and this thing held sturdy! I was impressed at how sturdy it was when I had to really give an extra push or pull to some of my plugs going into or pulling out of it.Each of the three USB A (same as saying USB) port is 12 Watts. This matches the highest capacity of most USB A cords, so this is good. It also is great that EACH USB A port has this capacity, so plugging in multiple devices into these ports will not create a slow down on the others, which is great! The one USB C port is 15 Watts but not a fast charging port. So it may take 56 minutes to charge the same as what a fast charger would take 34 minutes, as an accurate example. I am fine with that.. But good to be aware that this will not charge as fast as a “fast charger” if you have one of those elsewhere in the house. And if you do, you could always plug that fast charger into one of the traditional outlets on this power strip and achieve your fast charging effect that way!The traditional electrical ports are well spaced and VERY handy. The price is GREAT! A GREAT bargain! This purchase is an excellent one!

  10. I recently added the Echo Pop Bluetooth Speaker to my collection of audio devices, and I must say it has quickly become a favorite for its impressive performance and portability.First and foremost, the sound quality of this compact speaker is outstanding. Despite its small size, the Echo Pop delivers rich and clear audio with surprisingly deep bass. The well-balanced sound profile ensures a pleasant listening experience across various genres, making it a versatile choice for any occasion. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless and hassle-free. Pairing my devices with the Echo Pop is a breeze, and the connection remains stable even at a distance. The wireless capability adds a level of convenience, allowing me to control my music from a distance without being tethered to the speaker.I’m particularly impressed with the battery life of the Echo Pop. It boasts an impressive playtime on a single charge, making it a reliable companion for outdoor activities, picnics, or just a day at the beach. The quick-charging feature is a bonus, ensuring that I spend more time enjoying music and less time waiting for the speaker to recharge. The compact and sleek design of the Echo Pop makes it easy to carry anywhere. The build quality is robust, and the speaker feels durable enough to withstand the rigors of daily use. The touch-sensitive controls add a modern touch, allowing for easy adjustments to volume and playback with a simple tap.Another standout feature is the water-resistant design. This has proven to be a game-changer for poolside lounging and outdoor gatherings. The Echo Pop’s ability to withstand splashes and light rain ensures that the party can go on, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate. The Echo Pop also comes with a built-in microphone, turning it into a convenient speakerphone for hands-free calls. The call quality is surprisingly clear, and the hands-free functionality adds an extra layer of utility to this already versatile device. In conclusion, the Echo Pop Bluetooth Speaker has exceeded my expectations in terms of sound quality, portability, and durability. Whether I’m at home, on the go, or enjoying outdoor activities, this compact powerhouse of sound has proven to be a reliable and stylish companion. If you’re in the market for a feature-packed Bluetooth speaker that punches above its weight, the Echo Pop is an excellent choice.

  11. The stand is a no brainer as it allows the screen to be easily seen especially in the dark.

  12. So, I recently added the Echo Show 5 to my smart home squad, and let me tell you, it’s not just a device; it’s the family’s new best friend, and the kids think it’s cooler than ice cream. At the Black Friday price? We simply could not beat the value.First off, Alexa’s voice recognition is a mind-reader. Queue up a dance party playlist? Alexa’s got it covered like a pro-party planner. Now, the Echo Show 5’s display maybe 5.5 inches, but it’s a powerhouse. Crystal-clear visuals turn video watching, web browsing, and even virtual storytime into a delightful experience. It’s like having a personal assistant with a dash of magic for the kids. And the sound quality? It’s a mini-concert in our living room! Those dual 1.7-inch speakers deliver audio so crisp, it’s like having a front-row seat to the coolest show in town. Alexa plays their favorite tune, and suddenly, the room transforms into a private VIP lounge for the whole family. But the real showstopper? Video calls! The high-res camera turns video chats into virtual hangouts that are almost as good as having grandma in the room. Skype, and Zoom – they’re all here to make family connections stronger than ever. It’s like the Echo Show 5 is the high-tech bridge connecting generations. And for family multitasking? Alexa’s got it covered. Smart device control, daily news updates, weather forecasts, recipe suggestions – it’s like having your concierge who also knows how to tell a good joke. It’s the smart investment that turns your home into a party zone for the kids, a communication hub for the family, and a tech-savvy sidekick for the parents. If you want a device that keeps everyone happy and connected, grab the Echo Show 5 – it’s the smart home upgrade that’s truly family-approved! 🎉✨

  13. I’ve recently upgraded to the Echo Dot 5th Gen, and it has been an impressive experience. This latest iteration of Amazon’s popular smart speaker has brought notable improvements in sound quality, functionality, and design, making it a valuable addition to any smart home setup. The most striking upgrade in the Echo Dot 5th Gen is its enhanced audio performance. The sound quality is significantly improved from its predecessors, offering richer and clearer audio. The bass is more pronounced, and the overall sound is more balanced, making it suitable for music, podcasts, or audiobooks. It’s quite remarkable how much sound this small device can produce.Design-wise, the Echo Dot maintains its compact and minimalist aesthetic, but with a more refined finish. It blends seamlessly into various home decors and takes up minimal space, perfect for placing on a nightstand, desk, or kitchen counter. The LED light ring at the base adds a futuristic touch and provides visual feedback for voice commands. The 5th Gen model continues to excel in voice recognition. Alexa responds promptly and accurately to commands, even in a room with background noise. The addition of new features and skills keeps the device versatile and functional for a range of tasks, from controlling smart home devices to setting reminders.Connectivity is another area where the Echo Dot shines. It easily integrates with various smart home ecosystems and streaming services, offering a seamless experience. The setup process is straightforward, making it accessible even for those who are not tech-savvy.Amazon has also made strides in privacy with this model. The inclusion of a microphone off button and clear disclosures on data usage are reassuring for users concerned about privacy. However, one aspect to consider is that the full functionality of the Echo Dot relies heavily on being integrated into the Amazon ecosystem. For those who are not invested in this ecosystem, some features may be less accessible or useful. In terms of value, the Echo Dot (5th Gen) is reasonably priced, especially considering the upgrades in sound quality and functionality. It offers a cost-effective way to introduce or expand smart technology in your home.In summary, the Echo Dot is a significant improvement over its predecessors, making it a compelling choice for both new and existing users. Its enhanced sound quality, sleek design, and smart features, combined with the reliability of Alexa, make it a standout product in the smart speaker market. Whether you’re looking to enjoy music, manage your smart home, or simply seek the convenience of a voice assistant, the Echo Dot 5th Gen is an excellent choice.

  14. facil de usar, buen tamaño, llego perfecto

  15. Best feature on this multiplug is that it can be mounted into the wall plate of the wall outlet. Which means it fixes securely and doesn’t move when you are plugging and unplugging devices. I love that feature. Also has surge protection which is great. The quality is good and having usb-A and usb-c outlets is very handy and they seem to be efficient at charging devices quicker. All in all, I love this product and highly recommend it.

  16. Very Happy with this product. Will recommend. Thank You

  17. This light, outlet stand, is perfect for all our electronic needs in our master bath. The shelf holds our power toothbrush charger and small items. The many outlets are nice for hair accessories, phone chargers, and beard trimmers. The light can be manually turned off with a touch which is nice. We keep it off during the day while at work, then on during the night. It’s not too bright, but functional. It turns on automatically when the overhead lights are off and the room is dark. The stand is sturdy alone and we didn’t use the included screw because the light switch has a GFCI.I recommend this to save counter space and have plenty of outlets.

  18. I wanted a smart speaker for my bathroom. I have horrible ADHD, and have issues with time management, especially in the shower. I bought it for that specific need, but music in the shower is nice, and the convenience of not lugging a bluetooth speaker all over was tempting. I bought this during the holidays when it was on sale for $18. Best $18 I’ve ever spent. As of this writing, it is on sale for $25, which is not bad at all.For the size and the price, especially if you buy it on sale, it’s a no brainer. All the functionality of an Echo speaker in half the size, and at a perfectly reasonable price. It’s not audiophile sound, but it sounds great especially for its size. I have an Echo Show 5th Gen. I’d say it’s a notch below in terms of quality, but honestly not by much. I used to have a Google Home speaker, and the Echo Pop certainly kicks the crap out of that thing. The speaker truly has helped with its intended purpose. No more being late for work from daydreaming in the shower. Setup was incredibly easy. This technology has made many aspects of my life a lot easier. Plus, jamming out in the shower is a great way to start the day. This was a good purchase. I’m very happy with this little guy.

  19. The Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) is a delightful addition to any smart home setup. Let me share why this little smart speaker has won my heart:Sleek Design: The Echo Dot’s compact, spherical shape fits seamlessly into any room. Available in light blue or white, it’s both stylish and unobtrusive.Balanced Sound: Despite its small size, the Echo Dot delivers surprisingly well-balanced sound. Whether you’re streaming music, listening to podcasts, or asking Alexa for the weather, the audio quality won’t disappoint.Tap Gestures: The new motion sensors allow you to interact with the speaker by simply tapping it. It’s like having a secret handshake with your smart assistant!Eero Mesh Networking: Need better Wi-Fi coverage? The Echo Dot doubles as an Eero mesh network node, ensuring a strong and reliable connection throughout your home.Affordable Price, the Echo Dot offers incredible value. It’s the perfect entry point for anyone dipping their toes into the world of smart speakers.Alexa at Your Service: Ask Alexa to play your favorite tunes, set reminders, control smart devices, or even tell you a joke. She’s always ready to assist. While the Echo Dot (5th Gen) lacks a 3.5mm jack and has a limited frequency range, these minor quibbles fade in comparison to its overall performance. Plus, if you’re willing to spend a tad more, consider the Echo Dot With Clock—it adds an LED display for useful information. In summary, the Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) is a smart speaker that punches above its weight. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a casual user, this little marvel will enhance your daily life. Highly recommended!

Its adaptive LED display and impressive sound quality make it a standout device in its category. Highly recommended!

  23. The Amazon Echo Pop is an affordable and compact smart speaker that lets you integrate Alexa seamlessly into your home. Here are the key points:Design and Size:The Echo Pop looks like someone sliced an Echo Dot in half. It’s a 3.9-inch half-globe with a flat base.Available in four colors: black, white, lavender, and teal (unlike the larger Echo Dot, which has additional color options).A translucent light along the top edge glows blue when Alexa is listening.Sound Quality:The Echo Pop delivers reasonably balanced sound for its price. While it won’t blast deep bass, it’s suitable for most music genres. Not as loud as the Echo Dot, but still decent for its size.Features:Includes nearly all the features of the larger Echo Dot.Doubles as an Eero Wi-Fi node.No touch or temperature sensors.Price and Value:At $39.99, it’s one of the least expensive ways to get Alexa.Ideal for adding Alexa to smaller rooms without breaking the bank. However, if you want slightly better sound quality and built-in clockface, consider the Echo Dot With Clock. In summary, the Amazon Echo Pop is a capable little smart speaker that trims just enough from the Echo Dot to hit a lower price without compromising too much. If you’re not looking for booming bass and want an inexpensive way to add Alexa to any room, the Echo Pop is worth considering! 🎶🗣️

  24. This will cover up TWO electrical outlets, stacked vertically. Which is the typical configuration in most American homes. However, due to manufacturing defects sometimes the prongs on this won’t line up exactly with the holes in the outlet. Fortunately, one of the sets of prongs on this unit is FAKE, made of plastic, so you can use a razor knife and just cut them off if you have trouble making the unit fit on your outlet. It has SIX power outlets, all grounded. All tied to a single wall outlet. DO NOT use this for any high-power devices or you might blow out a fuse in your house, if you connect too many high-power devices to the same outlet! Use common sense please! Ask an electrician if you’re not sure what I mean. The tray on top of this unit is nice for setting your cell phone down, so you can plug it into the unit to charge it up. The unit does have some USB ports built in. They seem to work as expected. But the tray sticks out pretty far, be careful that it doesn’t become a tripping hazard if your outlets are close to the floor. And remember it’s only meant to hold your phone. It’s not a book shelf. Don’t put a lot of weight on it.The tray MIGHT interfere with the geometry of your plugs, too… depending how fat your device’s power plugs are. But the tray is removable if you want it out of the way.The unit is pretty fat. It’s not a 90-degree angle on all three sides, it’s not a rectangle. The sides sort of slope, so the unit is wider at the back than at the front. This also means that any plugs on the SIDE of the unit MIGHT interfere with trying to plug other things into the front of the unit, depending just how thick your device’s plugs are.So yeah, it’s nifty for turning ONE power outlet into SIX, and the phone-charging tray is a nice touch. But once you get it home and start plugging things in, you may find some weird problems with the basic geometry involved. Other than that, if you have NORMAL sized device plugs, it works great.

  25. I’m not the most tech savvy, so haven’t set up a ton of the features an Echo could have and don’t use it for much, but it’s still becoming a very helpful assistant around the house. It understands voice very well, and has a clear shut off for both the camera and microphone separately, so you know when those are shut off for privacy concerns. When you ask, it will tell you what Amazon products are being delivered today, which is very helpful if you buy a lot online. You can thank your driver with it, check your order status, and ask many different questions. Vs the google hub, I get more useful answers out of the Echo when asking specific questions, like asking when 10 days later will be, etc. Whether you have an Amazon music account or not, you can get it to play stations you like, which I’ve ended up using a lot as it’s more convenient than turning on the Bluetooth speakers, and sound quality is good. For listening to music, the Echo is more than good enough in both volume and quality. You can also do video calls, which is a very helpful feature, both if you have multiple Echos around the house, or if you have someone on a phone with the Alexa app. And of course you can set little reminders or timers, which have become a habit very quickly due to the convenience. I have mine set up between the living room and kitchen, where we can use it in both rooms, and it’s a great time and hand saver. It was extremely easy to set up, and just works, without fuss or manual updates. Great home assistant, and I know it has a lot more features to explore if I can find the time to.

  26. It works great and the holding screw was the right length. We keep both our phones on it for charging at night and with the clips on the side we use magnetic charging cables for our phones so they work great. The outlets are great and don’t have to worry about pulling the entire unit out as it is screwed in. The night light works but I did notice one thing, if you lose power it will reset to be off so you just hit the button to get it working again.

  27. It’s ok, the shelf is one of the main reasons I bought this, but I certainly won’t be using it the way I intended, which was to put nest mini speaker on it. The shelf is so flimsy and a disappointment, on the bright side, the night light works good, just wish the shelf was sturdier and usb c had power delivery.

  28. This is such an amazing product! Original purchased it for the kitchen but due to the cabinet not being able to open we decided to use it in our room. Since then it’s been awesome. Our phones charge super fast and since it frees up the outlets we can also plug other stuff in without unplugging our phones. Who ever invented this needs 5 stars too!

  29. I have multiple of these throughout the house. All of them work without fail and it’s great having the USB ports there when needed. Super easy to install right over top of the original wall plate.

  30. You can’t go wrong buying batteries with the Amazon label. They’re a reasonable price, they work like the best of battery’s, and they are delivered fast.

  31. Fits nicely and is solid in the outlet.

  32. Upgraded from a regular echo to this in kitchen. Love it, especially having visual reminders of any timers set, being able to watch movies etc. only downside is no Netflix.

  33. This is a great piece of kit! This actually replaced two extension cords. What makes this so good, in my opinion, is that there are 4 USB ports (3 USB A, 1 USB C). That means you won’t be taking up valuable plug space with your devices using a cube charger. That gives you 5 empty plugs to use plus 4 other connectable devices all in a very compact solution. So saving cord space looks a lot nicer and cleaner.

  34. This works well in the bathroom. It gives me extra outlets and a night light for the bathroom. I don’t use the little shelf that comes with it. The shelf did not seem all that sturdy to me.

  35. This little guy is sleek, stylish, and compact, making it a seamless addition to any room. And with the built-in clock, it’s like having a mini timekeeper on your bedside table or kitchen counter, always ready to keep you on schedule. But it’s not just about looks. This smart speaker packs a serious punch when it comes to functionality. Need to set a reminder, check the weather, or play your favorite song? Just ask Alexa, and she’s got your back. Plus, with the clock display, you can easily see the time at a glance without having to reach for your phone or watch. But perhaps the best part is its sound quality. Despite its small size, this little speaker delivers surprisingly robust audio that fills the room with rich, immersive sound. Whether you’re listening to music, podcasts, or making hands free calls, the Echo Dot ensures an enjoyable experience every time. This is a must have addition to any home. With its stylish design, versatile features, and seamless functionality, it’s sure to become your new favorite tech companion. So go ahead, grab one for yourself and welcome Alexa into your life.

  36. We all need batteries around. I use them for LED flashlights and lanterns. I lose power during rough Florida storms and I’m always glad to have dependable batteries on hand. There are multi uses for these batts. Good purchase. I recommend.

  37. This is a great marketing idea! If you are like me when its time get where you’re going you forget what size battery you need. Well, this is the perfect combo. For one, you don’t have to go anywhere to get them, they come to you; and to it eliminates the principle of having to play the memory game of what size battery you really need. Also, I find that as soon as one set of batteries go out, another set is coming right along behind those. So, purchasing this combo was not a bad idea. It was very reasonable for the number of batteries that comes along in the package, and you have both common everyday use sizes “AA” & “AAA”.

  38. I got 2. One for the kitchen and one for the bedroom. I love the fact that it has multiple places to plug in my lamp, etc.as well as multiple USB slots for all my devices. This is very handy, works great and was a great value. I got them on sale which was a definite bonus! I will likely buy more.

  39. These batteries work great and last a long time. Cheaper than what I can find in store and shipped fast.

  40. This is the third “Surge Protector and Outlets” brick over outlet product I’ve purchased. This one is ok and fit my application. Seems well built, anchors well to the socket with the included screw, and the threading is a US standard 6-32 threading.Similar units I had in the past had a recessed screw which required a precision screwdriver to fit in the hole… this unit doesn’t have that problem… the screw is long and it doesn’t recess deep at all. Very quick and easy installation.Pros:- 5 AC outlets with surge protector- some low-power 5v outlets- 6-32 threaded anchor screw… which doesn’t recess into a deep holeCons:- Nightlight / Power LED would be nice.- Top of the unit is SLANTED and can NOT be used as a shelf (ie for when charging your phone). There are better units if you want a LED or even a light-sensing nightlight… or even a shelf for holding a gadget while charging with the USB units. Also, the charging isn’t a Power Delivery 3.0 or 3.1 protocol. You won’t get anything but 5v out of these ports… they’re only good for small low-powered devices. There are better options out there if you need a true PD 3.0 or 3.1 GaN charger.

  42. 4/1/24 – Amazon Fire TV Cube, Hands-free streaming device with Alexa, Wi-Fi 6E, 4K Ultra HDI’ve owned several different platforms for digital TV, including the old NVidia boxes. Technically speaking the NVidia boxes were exceptional with great, extensive flexibility, but if you want a box to streamline TV viewing without going through searching multiple data sources, upgrading apps and downloading TV shows & movies, Amazon’s Fire TV Cube is a great way to do that. Amazon streamlines all of those processes I mentioned so that all you have to do is select the TV show or movie you want to watch, hit Play and it’s playing. I still have my NVidia boxes, if I want to tinker, but, in all honesty, ever since I bought my first Fire TV Cube in 2019, they’ve been gathering dust.I received a FireStick for Christmas a couple of years ago. I used it in the kitchen. Last summer, I was watching “1883” in the living room when dinnertime rolled around. With the FireStick, I was unable to download the App to watch it. So, I decided to buy a new Fire TV Cube so I could put my old cube in the kitchen. That way, I could avoid the limitations of the FireStick. (I could have added added memory to the FireStick, but I figured it would be beneficial to have a 2nd Cube around, just in case one failed.) Going from one Cube to the other was pretty much seamless. There are very minor differences, that you might notice if you look closely. With the Fire Cube, you can buy subscriptions to other TV Sources through Amazon Prime, like MAX (formerly HBO MAX.) or you can subscribe directly with the sources, download their apps and watch TV shows & movies outside of the the Amazon Prime app. Amazon makes he entire process consistent and intuitive.I’m not particularly fond of the hold that big IT sources have on different entities in the IT world, however, Amazon products have been operationally consistent, technically reliable and their prices are very reasonable. If I have issues, I don’t hesitate to call their customer service department. Amazon’s Customer Service is still exceptional. For the reasons specified, I highly recommend the Fire Tv Cube. From a critical IT perspective, it’s one of the best devices on the market for IT-based digital TV.

Simply plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and start using Alexa immediately. The device’s compact size makes it easy to place in any room, and its sleek design blends seamlessly with any decor. In conclusion, the Echo Dot (5th Gen) is a must-have for anyone looking to add smart functionality and impressive sound to their home. With its bigger, vibrant sound, helpful routines, and Alexa’s intelligence, this device is sure to enhance your daily life.

  44. This was an easy way to upgrade the outlets in our home without having to replace the receptacle. Not only does it allow us to plug in our USB devices but gives us more outlets for lamps, TV, media devices, etc. Very handy and seem to provide adequate USB power. Does not provide the high amp charging many cell phones have today but works well with my wireless phone charger.

  45. The light is a capacitive so you just slide a finger over it. Easy to do if it’s off in the dark. Works great

  46. I didn’t know to give this one a three or four stars. Has features I love. The kids and I love that it displays the clock and spelling words on it and other information. But it doesn’t respond well to people like it should . I have to ask more then once usually.

  47. But It turned out that it is a MAJOR improvement for how I charge my cellphone and Kindle. I only use it for those two, but it’s very nice that there are more for friends and family who are over at my home.It took a little getting used to the night light, and I worried that it’s activated whenever there’s any exterior light at all, like from the hallway. I thought, too, that the light itself might not last, and couldn’t be replaced.

  48. Title says most. These batteries are becoming more popular as hurricane season approaches. They are perhaps a cut below the most popular brands, but are effective. The current problem is tat Amazon is delivering them usually after 7 to 13 hrs. in a 130 to 165 degree unrefrigerated , un air conditioned truck. In south Florida, the hurricane capital of the US. More than once, I have had these and other batteries last only a few days, or only a few weeks at best. Wish I could get them between 4-8 am like a very few of other products I order. But Amazon will not do so. So be aware, if it’s hot where you live, look up how hot a vehicle gets (and for how long) when the outside temperature is 80 to 97 degrees.. This goes for other perishables also. I’ve requested 4 solutions but all have been rejected. Also, be aware of this circumstance if you’re trying to stock up for a climate emergency, (depressingly increasing, as I’ve stated before).

  49. Low price ! Durable

  50. No frills, Great value batteries. Came in pretty fast as expected.

  51. The life of the battery is great lasts long. The size is right. Great for value of money.

  52. I like this product i would recommend to buyers to get this one…it has a great sound …compact in size but great quality..it pays off your money..its a money worth item …

  53. I am a big fan of the Amazon Alexa. We have several different styles and generations. The new pop is small, but still has great sound. And it comes in several different colors…We started out with using them to just play music. But living in a 2 story home, these speakers work great as intercoms. They alert us when someone is at the door. They can turn lights on and off if you use smart bulbs. It also connects to the thermostat which comes in handy on very cold mornings,as you can tell Alexa to turn on the heat without leaving the comfort of your warm bed! That’s just a few of the things Alexa can do!! I’d be lost without it!!
